Suddenly, he's right in my face.
Too close, too warm…too unstable.
"Stop making it worse," he breathes again, with his voice low, strained, breaking all at once.
"I can't think when you're near." He repeats, and I blink at him.
The words land differently this time.
As he wraps his other hand around my waist.
This is the second time he's being this way with me, and… I don't quite know what to make of it.
"I… Every time you're near. Every… everything fades and I… I just want.. You. I know… I know it's wrong, and I'm trying to— I— You keep making it hard by… by being so close." He breathes as he crumbles into me.
Pulling me into a hug.
I stay frozen for a second, until my hands move.
Until I realise the fear and confusion he's currently wallowing in, so I hold him.
His fingers tighten in my shirt as he whispers against my neck.
"I don't understand what's happening to me,"
"I don't feel right." He adds, quieter now, like admitting it costs him something.
