Chapter 396 - Chapter 391

That raised another question.

What exactly had Belotti experienced to develop such intense malice?

Shiko was rather curious.

Before everyone could fully recover from their shock, the battle on the field had already begun.

Charizard versus Moltres.

Although Denjiro repeatedly encouraged himself, determined to put up a fight and perhaps even seize victory, reality proved far harsher than his expectations.

The difference between an Elite Four-level Pokémon and a Third-tier Legendary was simply absurd.

Moltres did not even need to use its full strength to crush Charizard with ease.

The battle felt as effortless as an adult overpowering a child.

The two Pokémon were not even in the same league.

That became obvious when they both used Flamethrower.

Charizard was clearly inferior.

After charging for a long time, it finally released a surging torrent of flames.

Moltres merely opened its beak and casually breathed out a pillar of fire.

The pillar instantly swallowed Charizard's Flamethrower.

Not only that, but it continued forward and struck Charizard directly, leaving one of its wings burned.

After that single clash, Denjiro understood the difference between Charizard and Moltres.

The gap between them was like an uncrossable chasm.

It was not something he could overcome through commands or battle experience.

In the face of absolute power, nothing he did would make any difference.

Denjiro's confidence immediately collapsed.

He could only watch helplessly as Moltres continuously suppressed his Charizard.

In the end, Charizard was knocked unconscious.

Denjiro remained stunned for a moment before recalling his fallen Pokémon.

Throughout the entire battle, Charizard had failed to inflict any meaningful damage on Moltres.

When Denjiro raised his head and met Belotti's gaze, his body trembled slightly.

He did not understand why, but he saw incredibly powerful emotions within his opponent's eyes.

Those cold blue eyes were filled with brutality and hatred.

Why did his opponent carry such emotions?

Denjiro could not understand.

It was not until the referee sounded a warning that Denjiro realized he had become distracted.

He took a deep breath and sent out his second Pokémon.

He already knew that with Moltres present, his chances of winning this match were practically nonexistent.

However, he could not simply surrender here.

He could never bring himself to do something so humiliating.

Denjiro's second Pokémon was another of his most powerful main battlers.

Gardevoir!

Its strength had reached the Elite Four level.

In this Alliance Tournament, it could be considered exceptionally powerful.

However, Denjiro knew that such strength was still insufficient against Moltres.

Yet Belotti's next action completely exceeded his expectations.

Belotti silently raised his head, took out a Poké Ball, and recalled Moltres.

Immediately afterward, he took out a new Poké Ball.

What did this mean?

Was he preparing to change Pokémon?

Upon seeing this, Denjiro felt slightly relieved.

As long as he did not have to face Moltres, the pressure would not be so overwhelming.

Perhaps he could still win one round.

At the very least, his eventual defeat would not look quite so miserable.

However, Belotti's actions gave him a strange sense of familiarity.

Wait!

Hadn't Shiko done exactly the same thing during his match a few days ago?

The realization caused Denjiro's heart to tremble violently.

An intense feeling of foreboding instantly surged through him.

However, he quickly forced the thought down.

It was simply too absurd.

A Trainer possessing even one Legendary Pokémon was already astonishing.

Possessing two would be impossible!

Absolutely impossible!

Denjiro was not the only person thinking this.

When the spectators saw Belotti's actions, the same possibility immediately appeared in their minds.

Wasn't this exactly what Shiko had done during his previous match?

Could this contestant possibly possess another Legendary Pokémon?

Their question was answered the next second.

The Pokémon Belotti sent out was indeed another Legendary Pokémon.

It was a large blue bird with long blue tail feathers.

The instant it appeared, the temperature throughout the stadium visibly plummeted.

As it spread its wings and flew, tiny ice crystals drifted down around it.

The Pokémon that had appeared was none other than Articuno, another member of the Legendary birds alongside Moltres!

It really was another Legendary Pokémon!

The spectators fell silent.

They stared blankly at the enormous blue bird, unable to utter a single word.

Everything that had happened today was simply too astonishing.

On the battlefield, Denjiro's expression completely froze.

His dreadful premonition had actually come true.

The second Pokémon Belotti sent out was another Legendary Pokémon!

This was terrifying!

The battle began immediately.

Articuno displayed its overwhelming strength without restraint.

Even an Elite Four-level Gardevoir could not inflict any meaningful damage on it.

More astonishingly, Gardevoir attempted to control Articuno with Psychic.

However, Articuno merely flapped its wings and shattered the Psychic-type energy surrounding it.

The next second, Articuno unleashed a simple Ice Beam.

Gardevoir was instantly frozen into a solid ice sculpture.

A moment later, cracks spread across the ice.

Gardevoir's body fell free from the shattered ice.

It had already lost consciousness and was unable to battle.

Once again, the battle ended in an unquestionable and completely one-sided victory.

Articuno had instantly defeated Gardevoir.

Its overwhelming combat strength had been displayed for everyone to see.
