Chapter 379: Facing Off
"Then I'm truly sorry, Misty. I've already tested it out for you in advance. You won't mind, will you?"
Felicia smiled, her eyes narrowing with a look of pure provocation. So what if you're the girlfriend? I still got there first.
"Of course not, Classmate Felicia. How could I possibly mind? In fact, I should thank you." Misty's right hand rested casually on Silas's shoulder.
"Thank me?" Misty's words left Felicia confused. Why on earth was she being thanked?
"Yeah, of course. For testing out how Silas is in that department. It seems he's quite excellent." Misty leaned in, her nose brushing against Silas's, never missing a beat in her attempt to provoke Felicia.
"You... you're something else." Felicia had never expected Misty to be so thick-skinned. She admitted defeat on that front.
Round One: Felicia Loses!
Felicia turned around and slumped onto her desk, sulking. Dammit! This Misty is too annoying. I'm completely outmatched in a war of words with her. Seeing Felicia concede, Misty raised her head proudly. With only that level of skill, you think you can compete with the official queen?
"Sigh~" Silas caught a glimpse of Misty's smug expression. Truly, the older ginger is the spicier one.
Having dealt with Felicia, Misty turned her focus back to Silas. "Silas, it looks like you've been hiding quite a lot from me~"
"Ahem, well... special circumstances." Silas found it difficult to explain.
Behind them, Wanda watched them gloomily. What should I do? For a split second, Wanda even entertained the thought of using Chaos Magic to alter the memories of Misty and the others. She wanted to be selfish; she wanted Silas all to herself. But she quickly realized that doing so would only make Silas hate her—or leave her.
"Silas..." Wanda propped her head on her hand, watching the backs of Silas and Misty chatting. For a moment, she desperately wanted to join them.
Ring, ring, ring!!!
The school bell snapped Wanda out of her wandering thoughts. As time ticked away, the moment everyone was waiting for finally arrived: school was out.
"Felicia..." Gwen was about to turn around to wake her sleeping deskmate when Peter suddenly grabbed her hand.
"Gwen, let's go."
"Ah... okay." Gwen grabbed her bag, gave Felicia one last look, and was pulled out of the room by Peter.
Felicia lifted her head gloomily. Even her best friend had abandoned her in this moment.
"School's over. I wonder what Classmate Felicia's plans are for tonight?" Misty initiated a conversation.
"No plans. I'm just borrowing your boyfriend!" Felicia dropped that harsh line, turned on her heel, and stormed out of the classroom.
"Mm-hmm. Did you hear that, Silas? It sounds like she's coming to find you tonight." Misty gave Silas a sweet, loving smile.
"Uh..." Silas rubbed his forehead and shook his head. He hadn't expected to be the one to deal with Felicia's "threat."
"I wonder, are you going to see her?" Misty thought Felicia was hinting at Silas coming over to her house. Silas didn't know what to say. Misty was his girlfriend, but he couldn't exactly give Felicia the cold shoulder either. At least she had the courage to stand up and declare her stake.
Just as Silas was contemplating his answer:
"Silas has his own thoughts. No matter what he wants to do, we shouldn't control him." Wanda stood up from behind them. She had spent all day thinking. She wasn't willing to give up on Silas either; he was her goal.
"Wanda? It seems you know Silas too?" Misty truly didn't know the extent of their relationship.
"Congratulations, Classmate Misty. You guessed right. I do know Silas, and I love him."
After saying that, Wanda took a bold step forward, cupped Silas's face with both hands, and kissed him squarely on the lips.
The room erupted! The students who hadn't left yet were stunned. A few boys who had been planning to ask for Wanda's number immediately backed off. Is Silas really that charming? Two new transfer students are this passionate about him? This is unreal!
"You..." Even Misty was gobsmacked. What is this? You're supposed to be like Felicia and have a war of words first! How did she just jump straight to the kiss? The "official girlfriend" was standing right there! This girl looked quiet and refined, but her methods were wilder than Felicia's.
"Goodbye!" Wanda took a deep breath, turned around, and left the classroom in one smooth motion.
"Bitch," Misty muttered under her breath.
Outside, Wanda was incredibly excited. That was such a rush—doing that right in front of Silas's girlfriend.
"Misty, this isn't my fault." Silas hadn't expected all three women to become so aggressive.
"I know." Misty closed her eyes and nodded, her mind racing to figure out how she could maintain her lead.
Seeing her deep in thought, Silas turned to grab his bag. "Um... Misty, Peter is calling for me outside. I'll head out first?"
"It's fine, let's go together!" Misty hooked her arm through his and grabbed her purse.
"Right," Silas replied with a forced smile. He really just wanted to be alone to think about his future path.
Ten minutes later, after successfully dropping Misty off at her home, Silas finally let out a relaxed smile. "Sigh~ women are too much trouble. Games are much better," he lamented. He turned around, ready to indulge in some gaming to forget the day's events.
Felicia's House
"Dammit! Misty, that little bitch!" Felicia was rummaging through her closet. Finally, she unearthed her Black Cat suit. "I'm never hiding it this deep again."
She was always afraid Silas would pay her a surprise visit, so every time she came home, she buried the suit at the very bottom of the closet under layers of clothes. Laying the suit on the bed, she looked at her design with satisfaction. It was perfect. She just had to wait for sunset. When night fell, it would be time for her to move.

Wanda arrived home with her backpack.
"Wanda! We're out of cereal in the kitchen! Go downstairs and buy some!" Pietro shouted, holding an empty bag. He was going to go himself, but since Wanda was back, he figured he'd send her.
BOOM!!!
A sudden, violent surge of energy erupted from Wanda. Pietro was sent flying against the wall. Every piece of cutlery in the kitchen crashed to the floor with a deafening clatter.
"Pah!" Pietro spat out a mouthful of sugar that had fallen on him. "Wanda, I just asked you to buy cereal! Was that really necessary...?"
Wanda tore off her transformation scroll, reverting to her original appearance. "Come here," she said, gesturing with her finger.
Pietro narrowed his eyes. He sensed danger. Should he go over there?
"Well?" Chaos magic began to glow in Wanda's hands.
Pietro immediately chose to surrender. In the blink of an eye, he was by her side, taking her bag. "What's wrong? Our beautiful Miss Wanda, did something unpleasant happen?"
"Very unpleasant." Wanda sat on the sofa and sighed, propping her head in her hands.
"Did someone bully you?" Pietro asked, though he immediately wanted to kick himself. Who could possibly bully Wanda?
"Yes." To Pietro's absolute shock, Wanda actually agreed.
"You... what did you say? Someone actually bullied you?!" Pietro was furious. Someone dared to bully his sister? "Don't be afraid, Wanda. Tell me who it is, and I'll go flatten them right now." Pietro cracked his neck, ready for a fight.
"Silas," Wanda said tonelessly.
"What? Oh, right, we're out of cereal. And the sugar is all over the floor. I'm going downstairs to buy some."
Pietro immediately acted like he hadn't heard a thing. He turned around, muttering to himself, and vanished from the room.
"He sure runs fast." Wanda heard the door slam. As expected, Pietro was unreliable. If she wanted anything done, she had to do it herself.
