The surrounding sand was drawn toward the ritual diagram as though pulled by a powerful magnet, forming a dome around it.
When smoke began seeping from within, Daniel was ready with the spare towel and fanned it away, making sure it didn't rise high enough to attract unnecessary attention.
Once the smoke had cleared, he picked up the doll, slipped it into his pouch, and returned to the well as though nothing had happened.
"Hmm~ Hmm~ Hm~" Daniel hummed to himself.
Even if someone had arrived at the last moment, he was already prepared with the excuse that he had simply stepped into the bushes to relieve himself.
Fortunately, no one came to the well.
They were too busy training.
Anyway, setting his towel aside, Daniel washed himself thoroughly, scrubbing away the sweat and rinsing every part of his body until he felt clean and refreshed.
