Kane clutching Isadora's limp body against his chest. Her skin burned with fever, her breath shallow, her head rolling against his shoulder. He pressed his lips to her temple, whispering her name, but she didn't stir. His arms tightened, refusing to let go.
"Doctor!" Kane roared the moment he enter reached the hospital, the doors swung open. He carried her inside, voice breaking, desperation spilling from him. "She's unconscious! Somebody help her!"
Nurses rushed forward, a stretcher wheeled in. Kane laid her down reluctantly, his hands trembling as they pulled her away. He followed, refusing to be separated, his eyes locked on her fragile figure.
The doctor appeared taking one look at her and instructing a nurse to prepare a bed in trauma unit, "her skin is deadly pale which is the sign of elevated fever,if it does not come down before tomorrow, it may develop into pneumonia. She will need extensive care."
Kane's chest tightened. "Do whatever it takes. Just save her."
