Zhao Lingyun's older sister, Zhao Lingyan.
The last time he had gone to Xiangnan, Zhuzhou, to the Zhao family to rescue Zhao Lingyun, Lin Mo had seen her.
She was quite pretty.
Unfortunately, she had bad intentions.
On the night he went to the Zhao family, after seeing Lin Mo's excellent circumstances, she had even tried to seduce him!
She had even drugged her own younger sister, Zhao Lingyun, knocking her unconscious and nearly allowing Zhang Dong to abuse her.
Of course, Lin Mo hadn't told Zhao Lingyun about this afterward.
After all, she had been suffering from depression at the time, and he wanted to avoid making her depression worse.
Who would've thought that Zhao Lingyan would actually still have the nerve to go around telling people that Lin Mo was her brother-in-law?
Without a doubt, the moment Zhao Lingyan said this, quite a few players around who had gathered to watch the commotion began whispering among themselves.
Passerby A: "Isn't that the big shot Rulebound? Is he really this Qingyan's brother-in-law?"
Passerby B: "But everyone knows that Rulebound's girlfriend is Liuli, the number-one player on the Heaven Ranking, right? Liuli is so beautiful, and she's incredibly strong too. If I had a girlfriend like that, I'd wake up laughing even in my dreams."
Passerby C: "Rulebound isn't bad either! Someone with his status and level is obviously going to have all kinds of beautiful women lining up to throw themselves at him. There's definitely more than one woman!"
Passerby D: "This Qingyan first said Rulebound was her boyfriend, and now she's saying he's her sister's boyfriend. Could it be… both of them? Playing with two sisters?"
Passerby E: "Looking at Rulebound, it feels like he really does know this Qingyan! Could what Qingyan said actually be true?"
Passerby F: "This Qingyan may be nowhere near my Goddess Liuli, but she's still pretty! Her sister definitely can't be bad-looking either! Fuck! The big shot has it so good! I want to be a big shot too! I want to be surrounded by a bunch of beautiful women too!"
Lin Mo paid no attention to the discussions around him.
After all, what other people said wasn't important.
What mattered was that Ning Xi believed him.
Lin Mo only learned from Wang Junjie that this Zhao Lingyan had been going around committing fraud under the name of "Rulebound's girlfriend".
Quite a few players in Inferno City who already admired Lin Mo had fawned over and tried to curry favor with Zhao Lingyan, allowing her to profit from them.
Who would've thought that this time, she would run straight into Wang Junjie's hands.
She had been defrauding players when Wang Junjie happened to pass by and caught her red-handed.
And that was how this scene had come about.
At this moment, Wang Junjie deliberately teased Lin Mo, grinning.
"Brother Mo, what's the deal? What she said is true?"
"Hehehe, Brother Mo, I didn't expect you to look so serious on the surface, but behind the scenes you're pretty wild too!"
Lin Mo: "Fuck off."
Wang Junjie: "Hey!"
At this moment, Zhao Lingyan looked pitifully at Lin Mo and said, "Rulebound, for my sister's sake, can you help me?"
"Ever since you took Ling'er away last time, my parents started keeping an eye on me. They control me and want to use me to make money, but then President Liu dumped me at exactly this point. I've really run out of options…"
Hearing this, Lin Mo only found it amusing.
That old couple from the Zhao family really were a pair of gems!
After selling off their younger daughter, they had started selling their older daughter.
At this moment, Zhao Lingyan ran over to Lin Mo's side and cried, "Please, save me. As long as you take me away like you did my sister back then, I'll do anything you want! I don't want to stay in that family anymore… No! I don't want to stay in that cage anymore!"
Even the players around them couldn't help imagining things.
Lin Mo originally hadn't wanted to bother with Zhao Lingyan.
But it seemed as though he suddenly remembered something.
So he asked, "You know Liu Kai, the president of Genesis Guild?"
Zhao Lingyan nodded.
Her clear eyes were filled with both love and hatred.
"I know him! He's the son of President Liu of the Zhuzhou Liu Group. We were together for a while before!"
Afraid that Lin Mo would misunderstand and think she was no longer pure, Zhao Lingyan hurriedly explained, "But don't worry. The most we ever did was hold hands. We absolutely never did that kind of thing!"
How could Zhao Lingyan have known?
Lin Mo had absolutely no interest in whether she was pure or not.
He only said to Zhao Lingyan, "Answer one question for me."
"If your answer satisfies me, I'll help you."
Hope instantly filled Zhao Lingyan's clear eyes.
"Okay! What question?"
Lin Mo asked, "What is the relationship between Liu Kai and Nether? Why is he helping Nether?"
Lin Mo had investigated it.
Genesis Guild had originally been an independent guild just like Chaotic World Guild, living freely without answering to anyone.
But ever since Nether appeared, Liu Kai had inexplicably and suddenly led Genesis into following Nether's orders.
This was clearly the work of the "Boss" controlling things from behind the scenes.
And since Zhao Lingyan had been with Liu Kai all along before this, and the two had even had a good relationship.
Perhaps when Liu Kai made his deal with the "Boss," Zhao Lingyan had also learned some inside information, allowing him to obtain some information about the Boss through her.
However, Zhao Lingyan's answer disappointed Lin Mo.
"Liu Kai follows his father's orders. His father told him to do it!"
Lin Mo shook his head.
"That isn't the answer I wanted."
"Forget it. Let's leave it at that."
Just as Lin Mo got up and prepared to leave.
Zhao Lingyan hurriedly chased after him.
"I have one more thing I can tell you!"
"This matter is definitely important to you!"
Lin Mo said indifferently, "Go ahead."
Zhao Lingyan said seriously, "This morning, when we were in Dark Night Spirit City, after you were killed by that Ghost King, that Ghost King immediately entered a weakened state."
"You have to find something called… Soul Devourer! Right! As long as you find this staff called Soul Devourer, you can restore the Ghost King!"
"And they're also planning to use Soul Devourer to revive some kind of forbidden army belonging to the Ghost Race!"
When he heard this, Lin Mo's heart suddenly shook.
"So that's how it is!"
"No wonder that Ghost King hasn't made the slightest move since Dark Night Spirit City."
"So it entered a weakened state!"
At this moment, Zhao Lingyan looked pitifully at Lin Mo again.
"I've told you everything I know. Can you… can you save me?"
Lin Mo said indifferently, "I'll have someone go pick you up, but I'll only be responsible for getting you out. Once you're out of the house, I'm not responsible for anything else."
Zhao Lingyan hurriedly nodded.
"Okay! As long as I can get out! Thank you! Thank you so much!"
Of course, there was no need to lie about something like this.
Lin Mo immediately contacted Sky Shield Company.
Sky Shield Company would handle it.
Lin Mo didn't need to show up personally.
And this trip had indeed allowed Lin Mo to obtain an important piece of information.
So, while returning to the city, Lin Mo immediately contacted Ning Fei.
"Xiaofei, help me look into something in Divine Oracle."
Ding!
Ning Fei immediately replied.
"Okay, brother-in-law, tell me."
Lin Mo: "Soul Devourer."
