Just as a large number of Lv76 monsters, Ghost Beasts, spawned inside the Ghost King City map, and the players of the Divine Nation guild were preparing to launch a cleanup operation against these Ghost Beasts.
Suddenly, a large amount of dazzling radiance descended.
Immediately afterward, guards dressed in divine armor and emitting golden divine aura all over, like gods; and Valkyries with wings growing from their backs, like angels, all descended into Ghost King City.
Before the players of the Divine Nation guild could make a move, those guards and Valkyries immediately launched attacks on the Ghost Beasts that had appeared in the city.
And the appearance of the latter left Lin Miaomiao, Zhao Jun, Sun Yang, and the others stunned.
Lin Miaomiao immediately looked through the official Divine Oracle strategy materials and said incredulously, "Th-this… they are the gods of the Divine Oracle supreme race, the God Clan, and the two-winged angels of the Angel Clan."
Sun Yang was astonished, "Holy shit! Those Ghost Beasts have only been contaminated with a weak trace of Ghost Clan aura, yet the God Clan and Angel Clan are actually getting serious?"
In their line of sight, the God Clan guards could be seen holding swords and shields, charging and restraining the Ghost Beasts at close range.
The Angel Clan Valkyries, meanwhile, each held bows and arrows, locking onto the Ghost Beasts and launching long-range attacks and wearing them down.
Although they were all Lv76.
But the Ghost Beasts, which had only been contaminated with a weak trace of Ghost Clan aura, were clearly far weaker than the pure-blooded gods of the God Clan and the two-winged angels of the Angel Clan.
Thus, under the combined attack of that group of God Clan [Divine Guards] and Angel Clan [Two-Winged Angels], the dozens of Ghost Beasts on the field were soon all killed.
At this moment, a two-winged angel looked toward the Divine Nation players.
He said: "This place is a land of darkness. Please leave as soon as possible."
At this moment, Lin Miaomiao and the others looked incredulous.
"The meaning from above isn't that they want us to clear out these gods and angels, right?"
"They're the Divine Oracle supreme races, the God Clan and the Angel Clan."
"We really have to kill them?"
After all, they were supreme races officially defined as the light faction of the Divine Oracle Continent, in other words, the "good side."
"The Divine Guards in the Divine Tomb dungeon were, according to the setting, already dead twenty years ago, and afterward possessed by the dark aura, so they no longer belong to the God Clan. There's nothing much to killing them."
"But these ones right now are all pure-blooded members of the God Clan and Angel Clan."
"According to Divine Oracle's setting, if players maliciously kill members of the light faction, they'll have to pay a price."
At the scene, a player tried locking the Divine Guards and two-winged angels in front of them as attack targets, and a system prompt immediately popped up before them...
[Ding~ The system reminds you that maliciously killing members of the light faction will grant you faction sin points. When your faction sin points are too high, you may be permanently placed on the light faction blacklist (you will never be able to join the corresponding race for life, and will be unable to use that race's equipment, divine weapons, and skills)!]
When they received this prompt, everyone hesitated.
After all, being blacklisted by a supreme race would definitely have a huge negative impact on their future development in Divine Oracle.
With the slightest carelessness, they could ruin their own future.
And just when even Ling Xue was somewhat hesitant.
Ding!
She suddenly received a WeChat message from the company's finance department...
[President Ling, our cooperation project with Feiyue Group… has completely collapsed. We are now facing 1.7 billion in compensation, and the company's finances are already in crisis…]
Ling Xue's brows furrowed tightly.
She didn't know why, but over the past two years, at least 70% of the projects the company had invested in had lost money.
This was what caused the company's situation to keep getting worse.
Now, it could only rely on this mysterious person's investment to stay alive.
The five billion in funds originally prepared for the second stage of the Supreme Plan for Lin Mo had already been raised, but because the previous project had fallen through and a considerable amount had been lost, this caused a shortage in the funds, and the second stage of the Supreme Plan was forced to be postponed.
Now, this problem had yet to be resolved.
And another new problem had appeared, this made Ling Xue truly feel mentally and physically exhausted.
And now, the only solution she could think of was one.
That was to complete the current Ghost King City map-clearing operation.
Because this mysterious investor in the company had an investment principle, 'As long as we complete each task he assigns in Divine Oracle, the company can receive a sum of investment funds, and this amount has always been substantial enough to resolve every financial crisis the company faces,'
As the president of the Ling Corporation, the guild master of the Divine Nation guild, she had no choice.
Ling Xue seemed to have made up her mind and instructed the Divine Nation guild players around her: "Begin the map-clearing operation!"
"Everyone, pay attention to distributing the kills. Keep the average faction sin points within the range where we won't be blacklisted."
Even though no one was willing to.
But everyone knew: in this situation, they had no choice.
"Don't worry, President Ling! Everyone was originally a longtime employee of the company, and later followed you into Divine Oracle! Everyone knows what kind of person President Ling is!"
"That's right! Back when Chen Feng was still the chairman of the company, he would deduct and exploit us for all kinds of reasons! And ever since President Chen was imprisoned five years ago and President Ling took over the Ling Corporation, to be honest, my family's living conditions have even gone up a level!"
"The company's crisis isn't President Ling's alone, but everyone's! Brothers, let's join hands to resolve the crisis! Together, let's create glory for the Divine Nation and the Ling Corporation!"
Thus...
The players of Divine Nation quickly formed parties, ignoring the system warning and forcibly launching attacks on the Divine Guards and two-winged angels inside Ghost King City.
Although He Xiao was usually unreliable, this time he also patted Ling Xue on the shoulder, her eyes filled with endless guilt, and said, "You're never alone either. You still have us."
"That's right, Xiaoxue. We'll always stay by your side!"
"When the day comes that we've made it big, just don't forget us! Hahaha!"
Ling Xue nodded without saying anything.
Everything was understood without words.
Next, everyone threw themselves into the battle.

Before ten in the morning...
[Western part of the Inferno City, God Mountain Forest]
In the forest, the number of players was far lower than yesterday.
Because from yesterday afternoon until evening, the first-stage God Creation assessment had eliminated nearly 90% of the test-takers in the Inferno City.
As a result, this morning, the players able to participate in the second-stage assessment were only one-tenth of yesterday's number.
Even so, the players gathered in the forest were still quite numerous.
As Lin Mo, Ning Xi, Qin Feng, and the others entered God Mountain Forest.
The various solo players in the forest displayed all kinds of joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness, each with a different expression.
Player A (gritting his teeth): "Fuck! This assessment really gets harder with every level! I finally passed the first round yesterday, and today I got killed in the second round! Fuck! Even getting my driver's license back then wasn't this hard!"
Player B (beaming): "Hahaha! Brothers, I passed! I'm going to make it, brothers, hahaha!"
Player C (incredulous): "No, bro! How the fuck did you pass? I heard the second-stage assessment is about surviving for ten minutes in the assessment domain. It looks simple, but most people are gone after lasting only one or two minutes! Got a guide? Tell me about it, I haven't started yet! I'll pay, bro!"
Player D (taking everything in stride): "Tsk, looking at this trend, looks like the second round of the assessment is going to eliminate over 90% of the people again!"
Amid everyone's discussion, Lin Mo and Ning Xi passed through the crowd.
They stepped into the divine altar.
[Ding~ Welcome, player, to the second-stage God Creation assessment. The assessment is being opened for you. Please wait!]
