Noel's POV
Just as I was about to go see my son in the mansion's backyard, this annoying man suddenly showed up and started asking about the proposal he'd made a few days ago.
A marriage proposal, to forge a closer bond between the Donovans and the Richards. A mutually beneficial offer, but I was still thinking about what Yohan had said earlier.
"The Richards are the wealthiest conglomerate family in Mocoado. They'd never agree to be the second-ranking family if you insist on making the Donovans the dominant family between the two. They might actually be intentionally using the marriage just to lower the Donovan family's standing."
His words kept spinning in my head. What if what Yohan said was actually true?
The Richard family doesn't really want to cooperate with Donovan in a marriage proposal. They just want to issue an ultimatum where the Richard family can subdue the Donovan family.
They don't like having competition.
