One thing Day has never experienced or even found himself in is the liveliness that comes from a family.
He has lived a solitary life, always having to adhere to spoken and unspoken rules. A rigid lifestyle, but he was fine with it.
Or so he thought.
Right now, he can't remember ever agreeing to that kind of living.
"This will look absolutely gorgeous on you."
He takes the silky fabric that one of the women hands him and presses it to his skin.
"It's so soft," he whispers, and they all hear him. She laughs, and the others laugh too.
It's not condescending, nor malicious.
Nora, the woman who is handling all the fabrics and is said to be the stylist of the royal court, looks at him with mirth in her eyes.
Day went to her store, located in the city, to shop and get dressed for the upcoming ceremony, and he finds himself now draped in sheer lace and silk, the highest quality, and so soft and smells just as luxurious as they look.
