I continued to stare at the crow with the top hat as I was deep in thought. Just what is making this world run anyways? But there isn't any answer at the moment so that's not the question I can ask. The real question is what transported me here in the first place.
As I was thinking, I noticed the crow pecking on the floor, as I adjusted my glasses, I noticed it was grabbing something from beneath the ground. Curious, I got up from leaning against the tree and approached it.
The crow noticed me and in an instant, stop pecking at the object and flew to a tree. Seems like it still a regular bird, flying away from something that is approaching. Nonetheless, I approached the spot where the bird was and noticed the object it was pecking at seem stuck within the dirt.
I dug away the surrounding dirt with my hands. The soil was luckily soft, and I managed to dig a bit and to my surprised, it was a corner of something rectangular. Curiosity got the better of me and I began to dig more to get it out.
As I managed to removed the main soil holding the object, I lifted it up and realized, it was a book of some sort. I swiped the remaining dirt on the front over of the book and notice the cover was in English surprisingly. There was no words mentioning who wrote this but the title had something and it read:
'Coilloin Scott'
"Coilloin Scott? What kind of name is that?"
I muttered to myself as I read the name out loud. I was still curious about this so I opened the book, and it had quite the pages which left me surprised. The book contained a lot of detailed words and categories. The crow with the hat watched me from above as I read the book.
The book contain a section and some are highlighted with bolding words that sticks out.
"The battle of Nimbleweed, The duel of the western side, High Noon raid?"
I thought to myself as I read through the section, saying words out loud in my head. This section seem highlighted, as if they are talking about specific event that happened! Was this just a story of someone significant? I read through little bits of the specific section, and the more I read, it just sounds like someone writing this to be realistic, yet it sound so fake and sound more like a fantasy story instead!
I get that story are meant to be story and fiction, but yet, the details of each plot seems like a mixed of jumbled up of whatever topic the author had in mind and thrown them together expected it to work with some realism when it's just nonsense!
I flipped to the next page and there was more highlighted story! Just how many feats did the author intended to write for this Coilloin Scott?!
I flipped some more until I reach a section where it was now in a drawing and diagram state that had a lot of words written down. Around 10 pages were just filed with feats and events that this Coilloin Scott was in.
"This author whoever they are really does have a imaginative mind, but clearly not great with writing something clear."
I thought to myself as I looked on the other side of the book to see only a few pages were left, I didn't thought much of it, until a thought hit my brain and I looked back to see the same few pages. I was left confused on why there was so few pages remaining with diagrams and tons of text until I remembered something.
The book when I found it had lots of pages, but yet, there so only like so few pages in the book. I closed the book and turned it to it's side and dumbfounded I was, there were tons of pages. I open the book again to where I last stop, there was so few pages.
I was just speechless, was I imagining things or was it just there trying to mess up my brain? The book is big on the outside, yet small on the inside? It didn't even make sense like this world I am in!
Nonetheless, it wouldn't be of any use if I try to find the logical phenomenon of the book as this world isn't operating on logic at all like those transmigration novels and stories where at least it explained how they got to their current situation and how their world progress. However my situation is just pure chaos and unpredictable!
I looked back at the page I was at and notice a eye catching diagram, that had many words as if working as a list of some sort but it's categorized neatly and upon loser look, it seems to be names of some sort.
...
>[Solar Phoenix Barrage]
>[Fist of the Undying Light]
>[Gauntlet of Altracross]
>[Koristirat Emblem]
...
I stared dumbfounded as I continued to see the list goes on and on. Just what the hell are these?! It sounds like name of skill a game character would use in some sort of fantasy games like Concluding Legend I to Concluding Legend XVI or Beast Journey or Domain Spirit!
I decided to look at the other diagram which had a Radar Chart which is drawn to different words which seem to look like it represent stats with the grading of alphabetical of F to S. I don't play much video games but I do know it's common to see this type of chart.
And it was drawn so perfectly which also surprised me as I decided to re evaluate whether if this author of this book is a genius of his time or a maniac of his time as there is no way that whoever wrote this was someone of ancient time due to the fact that this radar diagram is something of modern time diagram!
And the fact their artistic detail of a radar diagram is spotted on and the words of their writing are comprehensible enough for me and likely others to read, this author definitely is something else!
As I continued to flip through the pages, I reach the final page where it talks about additional information about Coilloin Scott and his some section contain relationship with other individual and organization. And the rest is just bunch of other information about himself.
I just stared for a couple of moment before I decided to close the book, and I contemplated for a bit before I hit a strange conclusion. Was this book just a diary or something? It feel more like a information book rather than a story novel.
I looked back up and see the crow in a top hat continued to stare at me, but it didn't feel like it was gazing at me but gazing at the book instead. What was so interesting about this book that the crow had been perched up the tree for a while as I read through it?
It was all still too confusing, and I have more question rather than answer for this new predicament. So I decided to just let the crow have it as it technically found the book first and I just got curious about it.
I looked back down at the book once last time checking for other detail I missed, and when there was nothing, I put it on the grassy dirt floor.
...
'Caw! Caw!'
I was spooked and and my body just shivered in surprised as I looked back up instinctively to see the crow cawing suddenly as it just started to called out to something as it was facing a different direction rather than staring at me.
I looked at it's direction instinctively, my hand pulled itself back as I held the book, and when I looked at the direction the crow was facing, my eye widen.
It was faint but I could hear it from the hill across the waterfall, I saw the trees falling one after another without stopping as I saw something trying to emerge out from the large patch of trees, I couldn't make out what it was, but something was rising out slowly but fast simultaneously.
'Caw! Caw! Caw! Caw!'
The crow kept cawing as it looked at numerous direction as it moved his head, and some areas near the water fall, other hills were experiencing the same phenomenon as trees fell and something began to rise out.
I can't even describe what is happening right now but all I can say is something is about to happens as suddenly, a sound was blared in the distance which caught the crow and my attention as it sounded like a blaring horn which lasted for a couple of second before ending.
After it ended, I held the book closed to me as I didn't understood my current situation and it was not gonna end well for me if I stay here, and the crow immediately took off to somewhere else with it's top hat, leaving me stranded with a cold shoulder as it decided to shift it's priorities and flew into the distance.
