The next morning at eight o'clock.
Caitlin opens the door to her room; normally at this time she should still be asleep.
However, she was planning to take Little Lugia to the backyard pool to play for a while. There's no helping it; the child loves water, so what can she do? Just indulge it.
Yet as soon as she opens the door, she sees the door to the adjacent room is also opened.
Elesa sneaks out of her room, tiptoeing, and turns her head to Caitlin.
Silent.
The corridor suddenly goes quiet; Elesa feels tense and a bit awkward, pretending nothing happened as she combs her black hair.
Of course, the most important thing is that Caitlin is expressionless at this moment, with that cold look making Elesa feel gooseflesh all over.
She knows Caitlin is a very powerful Psychic, and angering her doesn't even require a Pokémon battle.
This slender, elegant young lady could throw her out the window without breaking a sweat.
Psychic is this much nobility.
"Miss Caitlin, good morning."
A little more than ten seconds later, Elesa can't hold it in any longer. She looks up, greets Caitlin, and turns to leave.
Though she's a bit spooked inside, Caitlin's pressure from her vision is truly oppressive.
But as a world famous model, Elesa still carries pride in her.
"How did you get out of Damian's room?"
Elesa just turned around when Caitlin's cold interrogate cuts in.
"Spending the night in the owner's room, is this something a maid should do?"
Before Elesa can answer, Caitlin continues in a cold tone.
Elesa clenches her fists. Her mind is a tangle right now.
Last night Damian treated her as a cuddle pillow all night; she slept poorly.
Indeed, at first Damian was quite polite and didn't touch her, just slept hugging her waist.
But after falling asleep, his hand somehow slid onto her chest, expertly shocking Elesa!
And when she woke up this morning, she felt something odd behind her; after a touch, Elesa was stunned.
Barely prying Damian's arm away, she exits the room only to be confronted by Caitlin's interrogation. Elesa's mood is not beautiful.
"This has nothing to do with Miss Caitlin."
Elesa turns, staring Caitlin in the eyes.
She knows Caitlin is a Champion-tier Trainer; judging by her manner and aura, she's likely from a prestigious family.
But so what?
She slept in Damian's room, not Caitlin's!
Elesa is clearly unlike Erika, who is more gentle and leans toward a Yamato-tinged characters. Elesa as a world famous model stands on stage with glory, confidence, and independence as her constant.
Simply put, Elesa doesn't want to suffer unwarranted humiliation.
It's as if she didn't mind sleeping with Damian, but why would she sleep in Damian's room?
Her chest still hurts a bit.
"You're just Damian's teammate, not his wife, not even his girlfriend, right?"
Elesa's ordered reply clearly hits Caitlin's nerves.
Fueled by strong emotion, the Psychic who had been calm for a long time erupts again.
The girl's eyes glow a deep blue, her gorgeous golden hair rustling in the wind.
This sudden scene startles Elesa again, because she realizes her own body surface is starting to glow blue as well.
But after two seconds, Caitlin's blue glow gradually fades.
Elegant.
Caitlin murmurs in her heart, gradually controlling the nearly erupting Psychic; she almost wanted to stuff Elesa into a statue just now.
But she won't do that.
"Damian is my future husband."
Caitlin's tone returns to calm, addressing Elesa in a cool, almost warning manner.
She steps past Elesa with graceful movement.
"Do your maid job well, and if you dare have any other thoughts about him, I'll feed you to my Metagross."
Metagross, one of the coldest Pokémon in the Pokémon League, marked as "in the wild" and extremely dangerous.
In Pokédex, Metagross can pin prey with its four claws and large body, then eat it with its belly mouth.
Alive and well!
So in the wild, Metagross is just as dangerous as Salamence or Hydreigon.
Elesa feels a chill down her spine, even goosebumps rise.
Because she can't tell whether Caitlin's threat is merely verbal or actually real.
But Caitlin doesn't look back; she calmly walks to the elevator, presses the button, and waits in silence.
It's fine; it's just another Damian toy girl.
Caitlin doesn't care about Elesa. Although Elesa is pretty and leggy, besides that, what else does she have?
Only herself! Only she is Damian's future wife!
If not for the two words Elesa said that annoyed her, she wouldn't be purposely scaring her.
Who says Caitlin isn't tolerant? She's always been a generous girl.
Time comes to eleven.
Damian finally slept soundly; I must say, last night he slept well.
After washing up, he walked out of the room into the hotel lobby, and sure enough Caitlin and Elesa were sitting on the sofa resting.
But was it just his imagination, or did he sense a weird mood between the two?
"Damian, you're awake."
Caitlin, who was looking at a magazine, gazed at Damian with a soft, serene smile.
"Hmm, have you eaten yet?"
"We already ate; it's almost twelve o'clock," Caitlin said, a touch of annoyance in her voice.
Elesa felt she should have been under the car.
Clearly last night Damian slept hugging her, not Caitlin, right?
"Okay, I'll grab a little bite before we set off. By the way, where are Rosa and Hilda?"
"They seem to have left Icirrus City already."
Elesa finally spoke up.
"I see." Damian looked thoughtful.
After about ten minutes of leisurely eating, Damian, Caitlin, and Elesa headed north from Icirrus City.
About half an hour later, the three arrived in front of an ancient tower.
"Is this Dragonspiral Tower?"
Elesa seemed a bit impressed.
"Oh, you know about it too," Damian smiled.
"As long as you're from Unova, I suppose no one doesn't know the Unova Dragon story, and Dragonspiral Tower is a bit better known too."
Elesa looked up at the tower that already looked very old.
"That's true."
Damian nodded.
"Mr. Damian, what are you doing here?"
Elesa suddenly understood why Damian came here.
"Of course I'm here to try my luck."
Damian's lips curled slightly as he stepped forward toward Dragonspiral Tower, Caitlin and Elesa following suit.
"Legend says that two thousand five hundred years ago Unova was a nation founded by Legendary Dragons together."
"But Reshiram pursues Truth, while Zekrom pursues Ideals; because their goals diverged, disputes between brothers widened, eventually growing into war."
"Meanwhile, Kyurem couldn't decide who to help, and thus split into the Truth Dragon Reshiram and the Ideals Dragon Zekrom."
Damian spoke slowly.
"And now, the sleeping Ideals Dragon Zekrom has been awaken by Team Plasma's N, but the Truth Dragon Reshiram has not yet appeared in the real world."
Indeed, Damian had his eye on Reshiram!
Elesa remained quiet; when she saw Dragonspiral Tower, she guessed it already.
Because there is a saying that Dragonspiral Tower is the place where Zekrom and Reshiram were sealed in the war a thousand years ago.
But is Reshiram really sleeping here?
Dragonspiral Tower is old, but occasionally people come here; no one has ever found Reshiram, right?
Damian and the three of them entered Dragonspiral Tower. As one of Unova's oldest buildings, the tower was already crumbling; broken columns everywhere.
Compared to Sky Pillar, Dragonspiral Tower was in worse shape.
Of course, Dragonspiral Tower is at least over two thousand years old, while Sky Pillar is only about a thousand years old, so there's a difference.
However, there was one surprising sign inside.
"Is this a Team Plasma member?"
Looking at a Team Plasma member tied up with tape over mouth and hands, Caitlin tilted her head in puzzlement.
"Seems someone beat us to it," Damian raised a brow.
And he could roughly guess who it was; unless surprised, it would be Rosa and Hilda.
Tsk, this Reshiram, is this really planning a "draft pick"?
"Let's go up."
Damian led the two women upward, all the way to the top floor, where they finally saw two young girls.
"Hey, handsome, you all came too?"
Rosa and Hilda looked at Damian and the three with surprise; after all they hadn't told anyone they would come to Dragonspiral Tower.
"So lucky," Damian waved at the two girls with a smile; he was not surprised at all.
And then…
"Truth, boy, what is your Truth?"
This time, the ethereal Telepathy was not cut off; it was clear.
It could be inferred that Reshiram was truly here in the tower.
Perhaps the Truth Dragon's gaze is watching them.
"Truth is Truth; this world is Truth; I can truly feel the existence of Pokémon and humans; Ideals, all that nonsense, is nothing compared to the weight I feel now."
Damian's smile was wild.
"Reshiram, my Truth can shoulder your burden; come, I'll be your partner, I'll help you beat Zekrom and its Hero."
