"Zekrom, and these Genesect as well."
Alder's eyes harden; he stares seriously at a few aura‑strong Pokémon.
Zekrom is expected, but those Genesect are more surprising.
According to Officer Jenny in Nimbasa City, these Genesect were revived by Colress from ancient Pokémon, and their power is tremendous.
Who would have thought he revived this many?
"No problem, Champion Alder. We can deal with these Genesect, then Leon and Giovanni can deal with that N and Zekrom,"
Wallace suggests to Alder.
If Leon and company cannot beat Zekrom, then bring in Gym Leader Giovanni's ace Groudon!
"That's right; this battle won't be a surprise,"
Cynthia agrees; today's battle is not one where a surprise would occur.
In the end, Team Plasma isn't Team Rocket; there are plenty of skilled people, not to mention Damian.
Although pairing N with Zekrom is tough, it isn't impossible.
"Very well, let's have you all handle it," Alder says in a low voice.
As for the elites and Team Plasma members that Ghetsis brought, the Unova Elite Four lead officers can handle them.
With the battle opponent assignments sorted, everyone sprang into action.
"Four Champion-tier opponents?"
Ghetsis looks at the four people ahead of him led by Alder—Alder, Cynthia, Steven, and Wallace.
All region Champions.
Remember this
Ghetsis's lips curve into a cold smile; he is not afraid at all.
"A villain like you who lacks class, I'd rather not grant you an elegant ending,"
Wallace frowns; he dislikes Ghetsis; this man exudes a flavor of "desire" in every sense.
More than Damian even hates this.
"Heh… a morally gray guy like you, what right do you have to judge my taste?"
Ghetsis's cold laugh makes Wallace's eyes widen in surprise.
"You, you bastard!!"
Wallace gets angry; he's such a handsome artist, and this bastard dares call him "morally gray"? Damn! He's never felt so humiliated before.
"Steven, Cynthia, later don't stop me! I have to teach this guy a lesson properly!"
Wallace decides to unleash his true power.
"Just with you?" Ghetsis remains smug; four Champion-tier opponents, his Genesect are more than enough!
"You'll regret this! evil Team Plasma!"
Wallace's gaze grows cold; it seems he's about to show this guy what a "water's illusionary dance" really is.
Elsewhere.
Charizard and Beedrill evolve in a flash of Mega Evolution; Mega Charizard X and Mega Beedrill appear.
"So this is Mega Evolution?"
N, staring at the imposing two Pokémon before him, feels a ripple in his usually empty eyes.
"Yes, N. I learned about you from Alder," Leon says in a low voice.
"Your ideology is about liberating Pokémon from humans, but that would forcefully take Pokémon's will; is that really right?"
Leon fixes his gaze on N's dull eyes.
The king of Team Plasma, but can you see through them? Team Plasma is essentially Ghetsis pulling the strings, and this one Zekrom recognizes as the Hero of Ideals is just a puppet pushed forward.
Because Ghetsis needs to use his power and leverage the Hero of Ideals' influence.
"..."
N falls silent.
"Just like Mega Evolution, Mega Evolution needs the right Mega Stone and Key Stone, and also a bond of the trainer and Pokémon's talents; otherwise the Pokémon will run wild from the power of Mega Evolution."
Leon continues.
"In this world, humans and Pokémon are already one; separating them isn't realistic and would ruin the world."
Giovanni's magnetic voice lowers.
N: "..."
N glances at these two strong Trainers; his lips pressed tight, eyes duller than ever.
No matter who, someone is denying his Ideals—why?
Do his Ideals really have a problem?
"Ghetsis lied to you; he's trying to use your power to fulfill his ambitions,"
Giovanni explains.
" Father isn't like that,"
N finally reacts, shaking his head.
" My Ideals… I just want Pokémon to be truly happy; my Ideals… aren't wrong."
N's eyes brightens slightly, his blank gaze cooling as he looks at the two Champions.
"Zekrom!"
"Roar!"
Zekrom's dark, draconic bellow fills the air; its obsidian dragon body floats up, lightning flashing along its form.
Electric‑type Thunder!
"Protect!"
Mega Beedrill teleports to the top of Mega Charizard X; a green Protect barrier rises.
Boom!
Thunder strikes the Protect; brilliant energy lights the sky, its power immense.
Yet the green motes of light in the Thunder remain unyielding.
"It seems words alone cannot correct your wrong thoughts," Leon says, his expression hard.
"Giovanni, I'll handle Zekrom; you take on N. How about that?"
Leon pulls out another Poké Ball; a Dragapult materializes in front.
"Very well," Giovanni nods.
Giovanni would really like to unleash Groudon and Primal Reversion to subdue Zekrom, and enjoy the thrill of pitting a lead Legendary against a lead Legendary.
But Leon and the others think it's best to keep Giovanni's Groudon as a trump card for now, unless absolutely necessary; otherwise there might be Team Rocket spies around. Giovanni agrees reluctantly.
"Underestimate Zekrom too much?"
N's expression remains flat; while his Zekrom's power isn't as high as Primal Kyogre, it's not something a single Champion can hold back!
N thinks this, but in reality... Leon actually holds Zekrom back for now.
Even though Zekrom is strong, with a top-tier Champion like Leon and Mega Evolution on Charizard, his strength is already extreme; if the entire main roster joined, Zekrom might not be Leon's opponent.
After all, in the original, Leon used a main roster to push Eternatus to its limit.
But it's N who's in trouble now.
Facing Giovanni's mega Beedrill and Nidoking, N is in a tough fight.
His Klinklang and Archeops have lost the ability to fight.
Giovanni glances at the exhausted Klinklang, then at N.
If this were not official League gym battle, there'd be dozens of ways to take down this young Champion N.
The simplest would be to have Beedrill rush in, pinning N's neck with stingers.
After all, this isn't an official battle; defeating the trainer herself is the easiest solution.
But as a League trainer, it's a saner fight; the League upholds fairness unless the opponent is completely undisciplined.
Of course, Giovanni doesn't care.
Without Zekrom, N isn't his opponent, and now Zekrom is being delayed by Leon.
To be honest, Giovanni thinks this battle is easier than they planned; defeating the hardest opponent N would wipe out any trouble Team Plasma could cause.
Then...
"Gym Leader Giovanni! Save me, Gym Leader Giovanni!"
A cry for help causes Giovanni to freeze; he turns toward the source and sees a red speed silhouette speeding toward them.
Wallace is being seized by it, screaming in pain.
That is Shiny Genesect.
"Wallace!"
Steven and the others' expressions change; they didn't expect this Shiny Genesect would be so fast.
In the blink of an eye, that Shiny Genesect has captured Wallace.
Without a doubt, it was Extreme Speed!
This is… ah, wow.
Giovanni's eyes narrow; he reacts quickly.
"Beedrill!"
Mega Beedrill pivots toward the Shiny Genesect, attacking violently.
But even Giovanni's Mega Beedrill cannot chase the Extreme Speed of Shiny Genesect.
Extreme Speed is that fast.
Soon, the Shiny Genesect stops in front of Ghetsis, releasing Wallace.
Wallace grits his teeth, glaring at Ghetsis; the Shiny Genesect stands nearby, and he dares not move.
Weak, pathetic, helpless.
How to describe the scene? It's awkward.
"Hmph hmph—Hahaha—"
Ghetsis laughs wildly at Wallace's predicament.
"Tsk tsk—Wallace‑sensei is prisoner again."
From a distant hill, Damian watches with a creepy look.
Yes, in this Team Plasma vs Unova League clash, he's here to enjoy it.
But to his surprise, there's Wallace's prisoner again—that makes him feel like a "born prisoner saint."
Why is he always being captured by Damian?
"A Shiny Genesect that can use Extreme Speed—that's the movie one."
Damian glances at that red Shiny Genesect again; undoubtedly, it's the "Bug King" among Genesect.
Normally, Genesect cannot learn Extreme Speed; the ones who can are the special individuals in the movie who briefly clash with Mewtwo Y.
Worth noting: the movie's Shiny Genesect is officially distributed as capable of Extreme Speed and even a Steel-type switch.
Damian finds this Shiny Genesect intriguing.
"Ghetsis, stop struggling; release Wallace; you might get a lenient sentence."
Alder speaks in a low voice to Ghetsis.
They were careless and let Wallace get kidnapped.
"I said it—you think you can capture us with this?"
Ghetsis laughs coldly, glancing at Alder and the others.
"Now this gray rat is in my hands; what will you do?"
Ghetsis is ready to push forward.
In the previous battle, those two ordinary Genesect were kept at bay by Steven and Cynthia's ace.
But that Shiny Genesect's combat power is formidable! Wallace and Alder cooperated, and they're no match for Shiny Genesect.
This guy, a bit arrogant.
Giovanni slightly narrows his eyes, quietly releasing a Poké Ball behind him.
To be honest, Giovanni thinks the League isn't strong enough without him there.
With momentum on their side, Wallace could still be used to ruin the good situation Damian holds?
That's if he doesn't become Damian's prisoner first.
