Groudon's roar shakes the heavens, and with it, the blazing sun of Extremely Harsh Sunlight shines down.
What had been shrouded by Primordial Sea, with Primal Groudon as the boundary, the rain clouds above quickly dissipate.
Desolate Land!!
Under the sting of Primal Groudon's Extreme Sunlight, Primordial Sea around Primal Kyogre can no longer dominate.
The sky splits into two creepy halves: on one side Primordial Sea pours rain, on the other Desolate Land blazes.
"Extremely Harsh Sunlight, this weather is terrifying."
Alder feels the blinding heat of the sun on his skin, and he can't help but lick his dry lips.
With Extremely Harsh Sunlight, the sun seems to scorch him like being dropped in a desert under the noonday sun.
But that's not all…
"Why does it have to be now!"
Wallace's face goes green; his Mega Gyarados is just about to slam Aqua Tail into Mega Metagross.
But under the sun, the water on Aqua Tail quickly boils away into steam, Aqua Tail useless!
Yes, just like Primordial Sea, in Extremely Harsh Sunlight, Water-type moves dry up and can't be used.
Aqua Tail fails; Mega Metagross pivots and lands a Thunder Punch squarely on Mega Gyarados.
Lightning bursts; Mega Gyarados screams in pain and is knocked away.
Thanks to Mega Evolution, Mega Gyarados has lost its Flying type; otherwise a Four-times weak to Electric move from Colress' Mega Metagross could've left Mega Gyarados crippled.
Yet even so, Mega Gyarados' body is distorted by the hit; Thunder Punch is devastating.
Wallace's face tightens; the weather above is brutal, and he almost swears.
Wasn't the heavy rain just fine a moment ago? Why wrap it around them now.
But Wallace also understands that Primordial Sea isn't all good for them.
Under Primordial Sea, Fire-type moves can't work, so Alder's Volcarona can't spit fire—this has serious consequences.
Under Extremely Harsh Sunlight, Fire-type move power is boosted, a boon for Volcarona—as long as it can hit Genesect, it's a heavy blow for Genesect.
After all, Genesect is four-times weak to Fire.
So, whether it's Primordial Sea or Desolate Land, both are Way Too Extreme.
Meanwhile, in the air.
"That stupid lizard."
Primal Kyogre senses it first; its golden beast eyes swing toward the ground, locking on the enormous bright red mass.
Primal Kyogre's beast eyes grow stern; unconscious thought tells it to go down and duel with Primal Groudon.
This has almost become an instinct.
But just as it's about to move, it remembers—why the big reaction?
This stupid lizard was thoroughly humiliated last time.; it even rewarded it with a big belly.
"Roar!! (Stupid fish! Come down quickly and fight me to the death!!)"
Primal Groudon roars in anger; the last time, this is the shame that flares up in its memory.
"Ooo~! (You can't fly, what are you calling me for?)" Primal Kyogre coolly responds.
Looks like that stupid lizard isn't done drinking yet.
Yet before Kyogre can finish speaking, a biting chill sweeps through the air.
"Roar!"
Black Kyurem's draconic bellow shakes the air; a blue arc of electricity surges toward the ground.
Electric-type Fusion Bolt!
Primal Kyogre startles; it forgets Black Kyurem for a moment.
Primal Kyogre retreats, attempting to dodge, but it's too late.
"Protect!"
Shadow Mewtwo's silhouette instantly appears before Primal Kyogre, a green Protect barrier rising.
Boom!
Fusion Bolt slams into Shadow Mewtwo's Protect, sparks of lightning flying everywhere.
Shadow Mewtwo's eyes blaze with purple flame, its arms gripping the Protect tightly.
But it's not easy; Black Kyurem's power is immense, and Shadow Mewtwo feels the Protect barrier quiver, ready to shatter.
"Techno Blast!"
Damian orders Shiny Genesect.
Shiny Genesect slides to Black Kyurem's side, lowers its head, the cannon on its back gleaming ice-blue.
A huge Techno Blast blasts toward Black Kyurem.
Carrying an Ice-type cartridge, Techno Blast becomes Ice-type.
There are only four cartridge types for Genesect: Water, Fire, Ice, Lightning.
The other three are useless against Black Kyurem; only Ice-type hits deal real damage.
Boom!
Ice-type Techno Blast erupts on Black Kyurem, thick frost crystallizing around it.
But in the next moment, Black Kyurem shatters the ice crystals, its terrifying gaze turning toward Shiny Genesect.
Using ice on me?
"Roar!!"
Black Kyurem roars again; blue ice energy circles its body as it powers up.
Its aura locks onto Shadow Mewtwo, forcing a harder Protect barrier.
The barrier strains; Black Kyurem's power is crushing.
"Techno Blast!"
Damian commands again.
Shiny Genesect appears at Black Kyurem's flank, head down, cannon glowing ice-blue.
A massive Techno Blast bills toward Black Kyurem.
Ice-type Techno Blast smashes into Black Kyurem, ice coating forming.
But in an instant, Black Kyurem shatters the ice crystals, its terrifying vision turning toward Shiny Genesect.
Using ice on me?
"Roar!!"
Black Kyurem roars; a giant Ice Beam shoots toward Shiny Genesect.
"Dodge!"
Shiny Genesect dodges narrowly.
"Origin Pulse!"
Damian orders again.
Primal Kyogre roars; several blue water orbs form in front of it.
Water-type Origin Pulse!
Primal Kyogre has no other moves that can hit Black Kyurem directly; though Rock Slide can beat Black Kyurem, Rock Slide is a physical attack.
Ice Beam and Blizzard deal normal damage, but Primal Kyogre is not Ice-type.
Yet with its own Origin Pulse and the Primordial Sea's heavy rain bonus, Origin Pulse's damage won't be worse than Blizzard's, and it has stronger power.
Origin Pulse shoots its water beams toward Black Kyurem.
Black Kyurem unleashes Blizzard without hesitation, a fierce icy storm sweeping across the sky.
Origin Pulse and Blizzard clash in midair, water and ice collide relentlessly, frost spreading everywhere.
Especially with Primordial Sea's rain continuously falling, under the blizzard's cold wind, a lot of rain freezes into hail.
However, at that moment, a huge white beam shoots up from the ground, the target exactly Primal Kyogre.
Grass-type Solar Beam!
Boom!
Solar Beam hits Primal Kyogre directly, unprepared.
Primal Kyogre emits a pained howl, tilting as its momentum is knocked back; having just suppressed the blizzard a bit, Origin Pulse explodes completely.

In truth, although this Solar Beam beats Kyogre, the damage isn't great since Kyogre has Calm Mind four times already.
Calm Mind not only increases Special Attack, it also raises Special Defense, so Solar Beam's hit isn't heavy.

Primal Kyogre is furious! It won't tolerate that cheap stupid lizard!

And the perpetrator is Black Kyurem!
"Roar!!"
Black Kyurem roars at Primal Groudon, its dragon eyes flashing fiercer and brighter.
"I'm warning you! Humans, don't interfere with my battle!"
Black Kyurem's deep, brutal Telepathy thunders in Giovanni's ears.
Clearly, Black Kyurem is furious about Primal Groudon ambushing Primal Kyogre just now.
It hates interference in its battles.
"Hehe~" Giovanni casts a grim smile at the Primal Groudon frozen in thick ice crystals.
What a proud Kyurem indeed.
Primal Kyogre glances at Primal Groudon, then clicks its tongue, feeling momentarily vindicated.
"Roar~!"
Black Kyurem again raises its body, a burst of flames racing across its form, and in the blink of an eye it becomes White Kyurem.
White Kyurem rears its head, releasing a dominating, draconic bellow; tail turbines glow with a rich ice-blue energy.
Its entire body shines with ice-blue light, a tangible icy aura spreading out and freezing the heavy rain around it.
From the dark rain clouds, not only rain falls, but scattered gleaming snowflakes—snow in rain, really.
Without question, White Kyurem's move alters the weather!
"What is that?" Damian is surprised.
This isn't White Kyurem's signature move Ice Burn.
"Glaciate?"
"Roar!"
Another thunderous draconic bellow, as an ice-blue ice aura radiates from White Kyurem in a circular shockwave, engulfing everything above and below.
This is the Ice-type move Glaciate! Kyurem's signature move!
And ordinarily, after shifting to White form, Glaciate would transform into Ice Burn, yet this Kyurem can still use it.
And the power and range are outrageous!
"Reshiram! Rayquaza!"
Damian immediately calls to Reshiram and Rayquaza.
Reshiram instantly opens Protect barrier, stepping in front of Damian.
Rayquaza moves even faster, dashing behind Damian and also raising a Protect barrier.
Shadow Mewtwo, Primal Kyogre, and Shiny Genesect all likewise use Protect.
Crack, crack—
A chilling, eerie freezing sound rings out; the entire sky freezes rapidly at a visible speed.
Glaciate's ice disk expands outward at an incredible rate.
Groudon, just barely freed from freezing, hasn't even roared before being handed off to Glaciate's freezing aura, and is frozen again.
Watching from behind Mega Beedrill's Protect, Giovanni remains speechless at the sight.
Elsewhere…
Wallace, who's once again trapped by Colress, watches the Glaciate aura spread quickly; his face goes pale.
Bound hands and feet, he can't even reach for a Poké Ball!
And Alder, under Colress's Genesect and Mega Metagross assault, is in danger too; Wallace looked around and noticed that Leon, who was currently pinning Caitlin down, was the closest to him.
"Leon! Help me!!"
Wallace's cry for backup cuts through the commotion again.
Hearing Wallace, Leon freezes; turning his head, he's nearly overwhelmed.
