Either outcome was acceptable.

Two streaks crossed the layer. One cold and ancient, carrying the weight of a Paragon's will. The other golden-white, burning with runic authority and stubborn defiance.
The Will had expected the clone to move. It had not expected Runar to chase.
Illogical, it thought. The probability of success is extremely low. The power gap remains significant. The clone has not shown her full strength. The Pseudo-Paragon guardian is active. The risk of death is high.
Then it reviewed Runar's runic path.
