More Soul Beasts trampled over their companions' corpses, crimson eyes locked onto the alluring golden light deep within the mine, charging forward without fear of death! One lava lizard had its abdomen blown open by bullets, yet it still howled and crawled forward, dragging its spilling entrails behind it.
A massive lava earth dragon, enduring showers of sparks and dents punched into its thick armor by dense gunfire, slammed into the tunnel wall like an out-of-control battering ram, shaking loose cascades of falling rubble.
Lou Gao had no time to turn around and look at the mineral vein's depths even once. Every pull of the trigger, every recoil slamming into his shoulder, was accompanied by the sensation of his heart being torn apart.
He could imagine all too clearly what lay behind him—
The final disciple he cherished like his own child, blessed with extraordinary talent, and that miraculous little monster, being burned alive into ashes by the flames of the Sun Essence!

The instant the cry faded, the mountain-like piles of Soul Beast corpses at the cave entrance—whether the Lava Lizards riddled with bullets or the Lava Earth Dragons with shattered armor, suddenly changed.
The molten blood flowing from their wounds, glowing with a dark crimson light, seemed to be injected with life!

Countless tiny golden sparks erupted without warning from within those still-warm corpses!

Like an undead legion returned from hell, they marched silently and relentlessly over the burning bodies of their fallen companions, surging once more toward the depths of the mine tunnel!
