Chapter 122 - Mondstadt City

Traveler's Home

After fussing with the qipao for quite a while, Bonanus finally dressed properly and slowly stepped out, holding a light blue, patterned round fan in her hand.

She exuded an air of elegance. Her attire was unusual in Mondstadt, but no one found it particularly strange.

They had seen merchants from other nations before; their curiosity had long faded—except for a few children who still found novelty in everything.

Of course, beautiful things always draw attention. With her adorable looks, Bonanus was bound to attract plenty of high-quality admirers.

Not just in Liyue, but in Mondstadt as well. It was human nature—curiosity and desire for beautiful things.

No, they were all gentlemen! Respectable people! One shouldn't use crude words like "admirers" to describe them!

"Hmm~ The atmosphere here feels quite special!" Bonanus closed the door behind her and stretched lazily.

The scent of a foreign land—how exciting!

In her previous life, when playing the game, she had never felt this way. It was a virtual world—she could only see it with her eyes, never touch it with her hands.

In the game, most people would just think, "It's just different architecture," nothing strange about it. They wouldn't give you Primogems for it.

But in Bonanus's eyes, these buildings were like treasures, filling her with energy and anticipation.

It was a shame. In the past, if she had a phone, she would have taken pictures everywhere, edited them, and posted them online to show off.

Thinking of phones, Bonanus couldn't help but sigh. Humanity's greatest invention. Truth be told, without a phone, she hadn't experienced a single sleepless night.

"What a pity..."

But looking on the bright side—even without a phone to record what she saw, there were kameras! Those were wonderful!

"I've decided! I'll see if there's a merchant selling kameras here!" Bonanus thought gleefully.

Nodding firmly, she began looking for the exit. She walked along the wooden floor, her shoes clicking, found the stairs, and slowly descended.

As she reached the bottom, she saw burly men and women sitting on wooden chairs, drinking. Not everyone was burly—there were slim ones too.

They sat at round tables, savoring the wine they had paid for.

Beside them were waitresses carrying snacks. There were also some male waiters.

The waitresses wore maid outfits, while the waiters wore gentlemanly suits—common in Mondstadt, nothing unusual.

Their attitudes seemed excellent, always wearing kind smiles. But those who knew understood—those smiles were just for show.

No matter where you went, no one wanted to see a grumpy server. That would only ruin the customers' mood.

As Bonanus descended, she not only saw the drinkers but also the exit nearby. Beside the exit was a large front desk.

Behind the desk stood another waitress in a maid outfit, though she looked a bit older.

Still, she maintained an attractive appearance.

Seeing the scene, Bonanus pouted slightly. These people really could hold their liquor! Impressive.

Bonanus herself didn't dare drink. She knew her limits. In the drinking world, she was a lightweight—one cup and she'd be dizzy, two and she'd pass out.

She didn't want to make a drunken spectacle in front of everyone. That would be unseemly for an adeptus, and Bosacius would surely laugh at her.

Shaking her head with a smile, she walked toward the exit.

The click of her footsteps naturally drew the drinkers' attention. They merely admired her looks.

They exchanged casual greetings and then returned to their wine.

Wine is their wife! Could a pretty face compare to the aroma of good wine?

Bonanus smiled back. Everyone here seemed quite friendly. Greeting strangers was a new experience for her.

Within moments,

she reached the inn's main door. Just as she was about to push it open and leave, the front desk attendant called out to her.

"Excuse me, are you Miss Fashui?"

Bonanus was confused. She turned uncertainly. Fashui? Was she talking to her? That didn't sound like a Mondstadt name at all.

But seeing the woman smiling at her, Bonanus raised an eyebrow.

"Are... are you talking to me?" she asked quietly, worried she might be mistaken.

"Yes, you. Please come over, Miss Fashui."

Alright, confirmed. Fashui was her. That drunkard Venti must have made up that name to hide her identity.

Couldn't he have chosen a better name? She didn't mind, but why "water"? Was he trying to say she was all wet?

Even as she thought that, she walked to the front desk and asked curiously,

"What is it?"

Bonanus tapped her round fan, her eyes curving like crescent moons, her lips slightly upturned. She returned the attendant's smile with one of her own.

Seeing the smile of this foreign merchant, the attendant couldn't help but pause. So cute! But... was this girl really a merchant? She looked so young!

Bonanus looked about seventeen or eighteen, maybe younger. Her adorable appearance made it hard to believe someone so young could already be a merchant.

"Yes. That bard instructed me to tell you about your situation when you woke up." After a brief daze, the attendant spoke seriously.

"Alright, go ahead." Bonanus sat down on a high stool at the desk, propping her delicate white chin on her hands like a child about to hear a story.

Struck again by cuteness, the attendant took a deep breath. No, no. Something about this girl made people want to commit crimes.

But reason prevailed. She couldn't do that—unless she wanted to lose her job.

Taking a deep breath, the attendant began calmly...

---

After the front desk attendant finished explaining everything, Bonanus nodded slightly. This Anemo Archod sure could spin a tale.

It was a shame, though, that the story only said they were friends from another nation—not that they were siblings from different parents. It seemed Venti didn't know that meme.

Then again, hardly anyone in Teyvat knew that joke. Bonanus didn't mind.

"I understand. Thank you for relaying the message. Here's a small token of appreciation." Bonanus smiled and handed over a small amount of Mora.

She wasn't sure why she did it—probably because in those foreign movies from her previous life, when the plot reached this point, you were supposed to tip.

The attendant gratefully accepted the tip. This foreign merchant was much better than that freeloading bard.

Beautiful and polite.

"I wish you a pleasant stay in Mondstadt, Miss Fashui. If you have any questions, feel free to find me." The attendant smiled and nodded, giving a small wave.

"You too. Bye-bye~" Bonanus waved back.

With that, she pushed open the door and left. As soon as she stepped outside, she saw towering buildings and Mondstadters coming and going.

There were street vendors here too—some selling fruit, some selling flowers, some selling gems. Completely different from Liyue's vendors!

"Wow, wow!" Bonanus's eyes sparkled as she looked around, searching for anything that piqued her curiosity.

Unfortunately, this was Mondstadt. There was no Childe to foot the bill. What a pity. Checking the Mora in her space, she nodded.

Unknowingly, she had become a wealthy woman through all those battles.

This amount was more than enough to splurge in Mondstadt!
