The "Bedroom Arts" skill was no joke.
One of Bianca's potentials had been thoroughly unlocked...
Actually, it had been unlocked in the afternoon. Now, she was just putting on an encore performance.
The sheets were soaked.
Bianca was blushing, feeling incredibly embarrassed.
Dexter didn't care in the least.
It was summer; it would dry in no time. Didn't matter.
Before long, sleepiness set in, and Bianca drifted off in Dexter's arms.
Dexter wasn't sleepy yet. Since he had nothing better to do, he pulled up the system interface to open some chests.
He had a massive amount of Karma Points—over 580,000.
Given that, he decided to go straight for the Gold Chests.
[You have opened a Gold Chest. Congratulations, you have received: $500,000 USD.]
[You have opened a Gold Chest. Congratulations, you have received: A Luxury Yacht.]
[You have opened a Gold Chest. Congratulations, you have received: Lobster Cooking Skill (Includes 2,000 Premium Australian Lobsters and unlimited seasoning ingredients).]
[You have opened a Gold Chest. Congratulations, you have received: "A Dream" Card... This card must be used in conjunction with a "Business Trip Ticket." After use, time in the current world will pause. You may bring up to two people with you to the "business trip" world. Upon return, the people you brought will only remember the experience as a strange dream.]
Heh heh.
Scored something good.
I really can bring people along.
Dexter grinned. He stopped opening chests for a moment and let his imagination run wild.
Which world would be suitable for Bianca?
What about Carl?
Kevin?
Mickey?
Karen... Karen would be perfect for the world of The Sentimental Swordsman, Ruthless Sword. She'd probably be more than capable of taking down Lin Xian'er. Of course, that's assuming her skin color wouldn't be an issue in that setting...
Dexter's mind raced with possibilities, feeling that the future held infinite potential.
After a long while.
Dexter stopped daydreaming and continued opening chests.
He opened six more Gold Chests in a row. Strangely, they all contained money.
He wasn't exactly dissatisfied. The money would be useful; he planned to get that shooting range he'd thought about up and running as soon as possible, and this cash would come in handy.
However, what he really wanted was something to fix Bianca's health issues.
Didn't get it. Oh well, try again another day. Time to sleep.
Dexter closed the system interface, shut his eyes, and fell asleep.
---
The Gallagher household was mostly dark.
Carl, having eaten his fill earlier and even downed a bottle of beer, was lying in his narrow bed, feeling blissful and sleeping soundly.
Lip and the others were asleep too.
Only Fiona was still awake.
In her cramped room, under the dim light.
Fiona was straddling Jack, moving relentlessly, a bit more frantically than usual.
Jack was enjoying it.
Two or three minutes later, Jack tapped out.
Fiona didn't say anything, but deep down, she was disappointed. "I didn't finish."
With those words, she shifted, sitting on Jack's face.
Comrade "Limp Noodle" Jack cooperated.
After a good long while.
Fiona finished and lay back down.
There was no AC in the room, only a stolen fan whirring away. Both of them were covered in sweat from the heat.
"That guy driving the G-Wagon tonight... you guys have history?" Jack asked after resting for a moment.
Hearing this, Fiona immediately frowned. "No."
"Really?" Jack didn't believe her.
"Yeah." Fiona didn't want to talk about it. She turned on her side and switched off the lamp. "Go to sleep. I'm tired."
Jack didn't ask again. He reached down and scratched between his legs. Felt a little itchy. Planned to hit the clinic in the morning to get it checked out.
---
7:30 AM.
The alarm went off. Bianca struggled to open her eyes, reached out to turn it off, and rubbed her face to wake up a bit. She turned to look at Dexter, who was still sleeping soundly, then quietly got out of bed, slipped into the bathroom, and took a shower.
Afterward, she went downstairs to the kitchen and started making breakfast.
When it came to cooking, Bianca didn't know much, but breakfast was usually just the same few things anyway.
She busied herself frying eggs and bacon, carefully arranging them on the plates to make them look nice.
When she was finally done, she checked the time. About right. Bianca went upstairs, gently nudged Dexter's head, and woke him up. "Time to get up."
Dexter was still a bit groggy. After a few seconds, his nose twitched, catching the scent of bacon on Bianca. He smiled brilliantly, suddenly reached out, and pulled Bianca into his arms on top of him. "Breakfast ready?"
"No," Bianca acted a bit haughty.
"Thanks," Dexter smiled and thanked her.
"Let go of me and go shower, or breakfast will get cold," Bianca laughed.
Breakfast tasted pretty good.
Dexter gave Bianca a thumbs up. "Impressive. You're in charge of breakfast from now on."
"????" Bianca was stunned for a moment, then glared at him. "Keep dreaming."
"Haha."
They finished breakfast amidst laughter and headed out to the car.
"Drop me off at my apartment first. I need to change clothes," Bianca said.
"Bring more clothes over here. Otherwise, running back and forth is a hassle," Dexter suggested with a smile.
"..." Bianca was silent for a few seconds. "I'll think about it."
"Alright."
After dropping Bianca off at the hospital and asking when she got off work, Dexter left and headed to Dex Restaurant.
Since he was back, he still needed to make money.
The restaurant was low on ingredients, so he needed to restock.
Checking the inventory, Dexter thought for a moment. Since he had so many lobsters, he decided to make lobster for lunch today.
After giving instructions to Vivian and the other two, Dexter went out to buy the rest of the ingredients. At the same time, he opened Twitter and announced his return.
[I'm back. The restaurant resumes business today. For lunch, we are serving 50 Australian Lobsters. Original price $598, lunch discount price $398 per serving. No other dishes will be served. Come and taste.]
Dex Restaurant's account had over a million followers.
Naturally, as soon as the news went out, it was met with a frenzy of replies.
"Finally appeared again!"
"The wait has been so hard!"
"On my way!"
"Mr. Ding, don't disappear again!"
"..."
---
The Alibi Room.
Kevin saw the news almost immediately. He was staring at the surging tide of replies, grinning like an idiot.
The reason was simple.
Dexter was back, which meant the rich people were coming back too.
The bar was going to make money again.
Happy times!
But, amidst his joy, Kevin suddenly got a craving.
Australian Lobster... he'd never eaten that before.
Kevin wanted to try it. Hesitating again and again, he decided to call Dexter.
The call connected quickly.
"Dexter, you're making Australian Lobster for lunch? Save one for me," Kevin said with a smile.
"Okay," Dexter agreed readily.
Kevin was happy.
At that moment, Tommy and Kermit, who had nothing to do today and were sitting at the bar drinking, spoke up in unison, asking Kevin about the lobster.
After understanding the situation, Tommy asked, "How much per serving?"
"Three hundred and ninety-eight dollars," Kevin said, feeling the pinch. "With tip, it'll be around four hundred and fifty."
Seeing Kevin's reaction, Tommy chuckled. "That price isn't actually expensive, provided the lobster is big enough and tastes good enough."
After speaking, Tommy turned to Kermit. "What do you say? Should we go get one?"
Kermit: "..."
Kermit could afford it, but he really hated parting with the money.
He struggled with the decision.
"Alright, let's get one," Kermit gritted his teeth and nodded.
Kevin was genuinely surprised. "Kermit, are you that rich?"
Kermit smiled bitterly and shook his head. "I have a job. Treating myself occasionally has nothing to do with being rich."
