Fiona had given up on those bratty kids. For Jimmy, this was news from heaven.

All along, Jimmy hadn't expected much from Fiona, other than for her to draw some boundaries with those unlucky kids.

Now, his wish had come true.

How wonderful.

Jimmy was overcome with joy for a moment. Then, realizing this might look bad, he hurriedly put away his smile and asked with concern, "Why so sudden? What happened?"

Fiona didn't want to bring up that pile of crap. She shook her head. "A bunch of stuff. I don't want to talk about it."

Jimmy had no objections. He had no interest in the Gallagher family drama anyway.

Thinking for a moment, Jimmy raised the cup of soda at his hand. "Then, congratulations on starting your new life."

Fiona smiled faintly, raised her cup too, and clinked it with Jimmy's. "Thanks."

"Let's find a nice hotel later to celebrate, enjoy life a bit. Tonight, I'll accompany you to look for a job again. How does that sound?" Jimmy proposed with a smile.

Until now, Fiona had never stayed in a nice hotel. With those hundred-plus men, it was basically fcking anywhere, anytime. Fcking in a hotel was something she genuinely hadn't experienced.

Fiona was tempted. Then, subconsciously, she thought of Liam again...

How was Liam doing?

Was anyone taking care of him?

Worry surfaced in her mind. Fiona hurriedly slammed the brakes in her heart, not letting herself think about such things anymore. She nodded at Jimmy. "Okay."

Seeing Fiona actually agree, Jimmy smiled happily, very satisfied with this change in her. "I'll book the hotel right now."

Not long after, the two finished lunch, left the restaurant, and headed straight for a five-star hotel downtown.

On the way, rolling down the window and feeling the hot summer wind, Fiona couldn't help but smile faintly, feeling incredibly relieved.

The Gallagher House.

Monica had been busy all morning. The result... the whole house was even messier. All kinds of things had been moved to all kinds of places. Overall, it looked like it had been ransacked by bandits.

Yet, Monica was very proud. A clear, triumphant smile beamed on her miserable face.

Just then, Frank woke up. He sat up slowly, feeling a bit of a headache. He rubbed his head, then hearing Monica's movements, turned to look at her and called out, "Beer. Get me a beer."

Hearing him, Monica agreed cheerfully, "Coming right up."

Getting the beer, Frank chugged half the bottle in one breath. Gulp, gulp. He felt much better, and at the same time, much more sober.

Being sober allowed Frank to notice the strangeness in the house. "Jesus, Monica, what did you do?"

Monica said proudly, "I cleaned. I'm going to clean this place spotless. That way, when Fiona and the others come back and see it, they'll be very happy."

"Why make those little bastards happy?" Frank replied impatiently. He raised his hand and downed the remaining half bottle of beer, then pulled out a cigarette and lit it. "Monica, let's go. We have money. Let's go get some drugs, have some fun, and then go to the Alibi."

Hearing this.

Monica instantly became conflicted.

Monica wanted drugs—she loved the feeling drugs brought—but she also wanted to continue cleaning to make Fiona and the others happy.

She struggled for a short while.

Drugs defeated motherly love.

Monica decided to go get some drugs first, have fun for a bit, and then come back to continue cleaning. She decisively threw down the broom in her hand. "Okay."

Shortly after, the two left the messy Gallagher house and headed straight for their familiar drug dealer.

They only had the few hundred dollars they pestered out of Clayton yesterday, so they couldn't buy much.

After buying, they split it, stuffed it into their mouths, and moved toward the Alibi Room.

The Alibi Room.

At this time in the afternoon, basically only the regular barflies were left in the bar.

Everyone was drinking, bullshitting, and watching TV as usual. Overall, it was relatively peaceful, until Frank and Monica appeared.

Frank and Monica basically never had a peaceful moment. Therefore, in no time, the Alibi Room became noisy.

It was worth mentioning that very few people actually paid attention to Frank and Monica.

Frank and Monica's racket, accurately speaking, should be considered self-entertainment, like two third-rate clowns.

In the Park.

No different from yesterday afternoon, Lip was still working hard at his small business, earning an average of fifty cents per item sold. Karen, who had come over not long ago, was in the corner of the van, covered in sweat, silently rolling joints.

The van seemed to be staging a heartwarming scene of a husband singing and a wife following.

Just then, Lip's phone vibrated.

Lip took out his phone to look.

It was a text from Mandy. The content was simple, just two words: [want fxxk?]

Seeing this, the corners of Lip's mouth hooked up instinctively into a smile.

The fact was.

Compared to fcking Karen, Lip indeed preferred the feeling of fcking Mandy.

That feeling was very different, very wonderful, very comfortable.

So, yes, Lip wanted to fck. He glanced quietly at Karen.

Karen was irritably rolling joints and didn't notice.

Lip started thinking...

Lip didn't like Mandy; he liked Karen.

But in Lip's view, fcking had nothing to do with liking. One could fck without liking.

Hmm, to say this logic had nothing to do with Comrade "Hundred-Men-Slayer" Fiona, that he wasn't influenced by Fiona...

Heh.

Anyway, after thinking for only two seconds, Lip made a decision. Then, he replied to Mandy: [ok, talk tonight.]

Dex Restaurant. Mandy saw it immediately. Unconsciously, the corners of her mouth hooked up in a triumphant smile, more certain that Karen was no match for her.

In the Park, inside the van.

Putting away his phone, Lip worked for a while longer. There were no customers for the moment. Lip lit a cigarette, sat next to Karen, and spoke. "Karen, I have to move back home tonight. I'll probably have to live there for a while. Something big happened at home."

It would be strange if nothing happened at the Gallagher house. Karen wasn't surprised at all; on the contrary, she was instantly happy. Because this way, she could sleep happily in her own home with the AC blowing.

Naturally, Karen didn't show it. She feigned confusion and asked, "Oh? What happened?"

"This morning, Fiona announced she's quitting..." Lip didn't hide it, explaining the situation roughly.

Then, Lip explained why he needed to move back. "It's summer now. Ian, Carl, and I can take turns watching Liam. But once school starts, we can't."

"So I have to move back and think of a way to make Fiona change her mind as soon as possible, make her return to how she was before."

Karen understood. She couldn't help but feel amused. At the same time, she felt Fiona was quite pitiful; in Lip's heart, she was basically just a tool.

Karen looked down on Fiona, yes, but looking down on her didn't stop Karen from thinking Fiona was pitiful.

"Mm," Karen nodded. "This is indeed a troublesome matter. Are Ian and Carl going back too?"

Lip nodded, speaking confidently. "I'll find a way to make them go back too. As long as we all go back and live together for a while, Fiona will definitely change her mind."

"That's good," Karen smiled, putting on a relieved look.

Lip was just about to speak when someone came to buy something, so he stopped and hurriedly went to do business.

Time flew by; another day passed.

The setting sun gradually sank in the west.

Lip wrapped up work.

Karen had driven herself here earlier, so she couldn't go back with Lip. She said goodbye and drove home herself. Shortly after, she texted Dexter to tell him the situation.

Because of the Mandy thing, Lip didn't ask Karen to stay and drove back himself.

On the way, Lip lit a cigarette and took out his phone to text Mandy: [Come to my backyard after work.]

---

Dex Restaurant.

[ok.] Die-hard romantic Mandy received the text and truly grinned instinctively, very happy. She replied immediately. Then, without hesitation, she decided not to eat her staff meal tonight, but to take it to Lip.

Being a die-hard romantic, that's just how Mandy was. Once she fell for Lip, she would wholeheartedly want to treat Lip well.

Honestly, for a woman like this, whether in America or any other country, the vast majority of outcomes wouldn't be very good... unless she was extremely lucky and met a good man.

Unfortunately, the reality is that in this screwed-up world, whether men or women, there aren't many good ones.

Behind the counter, Dexter came out to drink water. Seeing Mandy's expression at a glance, he knew what was going on. He could only shake his head helplessly and sigh with emotion.

Die-hard romantics are truly terrifying.

Sighing silently, Dexter ducked back into the kitchen and continued working, deciding to go back immediately after finishing tonight and arrange for Little Black to stake out Lip.

He was almost certain that Mandy and Lip had activities tonight.

Unknowingly, dinner service ended.

According to routine, next was dinner for Dexter, Bianca, and Mandy.

Mandy had been waiting for a long time. Without delay, she hurriedly found Dexter. "Boss, for my dinner, I want to pack it to go, is that okay?"

Dexter: "?????"

Why pack it all of a sudden?

The reason really didn't need guessing.

Dexter was truly a bit speechless, unable to figure out how that idiot Lip had charmed Mandy so thoroughly...

"Okay," Dexter really had a headache, agreeing.

"Thanks," Mandy thanked him happily, then listed the dishes she thought Lip would like.

Faced with Mandy's reaction, Dexter was speechless and indicated he didn't want to talk.

7:30 PM.

After dinner, Dexter and Bianca got in the car together and went straight home.

About twenty minutes later, having washed the dishes and said goodbye to Veronica and Vivian, Mandy carried the dinner and walked quickly and cheerfully out of the restaurant toward the Gallagher house.

Watching Mandy's behavior, Veronica, who was cleaning, couldn't help but smile gossiping to Vivian, "Mandy is definitely in love."

Vivian had zero interest in love or whatever. She smiled. "That's nice. Really happy for her."

The two chatted while working.

Chatting and chatting.

Vivian asked with concern, "V, have you decided what to study? If you drag it on, and the boss asks again someday, it might not be good."

Veronica knew this in her heart and nodded. "Decided. I want to get a college degree first, then study management, learn how to be a boss."

"That's good. You got this," Vivian encouraged.

2118 North Wallace Street, Dexter's House.

Bianca was quite happy to be back so early today.

The reason was simple.

The upstairs and downstairs of this house hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Bianca had been wanting to clean it, but just didn't have the time.

Tonight, she finally had time.

So, after entering the house, Bianca didn't dawdle. She immediately grabbed tools with great enthusiasm and started working.

Dexter watched, a bit confused at first, then laughed. "Ms. Green, when did you switch careers to housekeeping?"

Hearing this, Bianca smiled mischievously. "Just now. How much are you going to pay me, Mr. King?"

"I'll give you my Ferrari," Dexter hadn't touched that Ferrari for a while. The car had been cooling its heels in the backyard, quite a waste.

"No. With you here, I don't have a chance to drive anyway," Bianca said with a grin.

"Hey, then I won't drive you tomorrow. You drive yourself to work," Dexter deliberately teased.

"You dare!" Bianca glared immediately.

The two bantered for a short while.

"I have a small matter to attend to. I'll be right back to clean with you," dropping this sentence, Dexter nimbly found the miniature camera he used last time, then walked quickly out the back door. He summoned Little Black back, hung the camera around Little Black's neck, and told Little Black to go stake out Lip at the Gallagher house.

Done. Dexter returned inside and cleaned with Bianca.

The Gallagher House, Backyard.

Having bought a burger combo on the way and eating while walking, Mandy arrived full of joy. She took out her phone and texted Lip: [I'm in the backyard.]

[Come straight up the stairs to the second floor.] Lip was looking forward to fcking Mandy and replied instantly.

[Coming.] Mandy replied just as fast.

It didn't take long.

Second Floor, inside Lip's Room.

"Hey," Mandy greeted Lip with a smile, then handed over the dinner she brought. "Have you eaten? I brought you some dinner."

Lip had already smelled the aroma and knew this dinner was made by Dexter. He frowned immediately. "Thanks, but I don't eat stuff made by that bastard Dexter. Put it outside, take it with you later."

"..." Mandy wasn't too clear about the grudge between Lip and Dexter. Hearing this, she froze slightly, unable to help feeling a bit disappointed, but after snapping out of it, she obediently did as told.

Soon.

Having placed the dinner in the hallway outside the room, Mandy returned to the room.

Lip didn't like Mandy; he just wanted to fck her. Seeing Mandy return, he got straight to the point. "Come here."

Hearing this, Mandy smiled brilliantly, completely not overthinking anything, and moved immediately.

Shortly after.

The two started the battle.

Outside the window, the miniature camera on Little Black's neck recorded silently.

Dexter's House.

Dexter, busy cleaning, received the feedback from Little Black and could only shake his head helplessly...

What could he say?

Nothing to say.

Comrade Mandy Milkovich was a pitiful person, yes, but at the same time, she really was quite an idiot.
