The All-God Camela drew forth the Four-Seal Sword.
A sacred blade forged according to four divine decrees, a sword meant to cut down evil spirits and sever corruption.
She brought the sword toward the weapon Rick had created.
RUMBLEEEEE!!!
The two weapons vibrated violently.
Considering they were artifacts with completely different natures, it was only natural.
"Hey, old lady! Are you sure you're doing this right?! It looks like it's about to explode!"
"The thing most likely to explode is your personality... no, your star-sign."
Camela muttered naturally as divine power flowed between the two weapons.
Rather than forcefully suppressing them, it felt as if she were gently soothing and persuading them.
Swoooosh...
Before long, the vibrations subsided.
The Four-Seal Sword and Rick's weapon blended together, glowing with a strange light as if they had never been growling at one another.
The two weapons had acknowledged it.
The qualifications of the one who intended to wield them.
Smiling faintly, Camela spoke.
"From now on, I will purge the island's corruption. I leave the rest to you."
She looked toward Renya, Elia, and Kancho.
"Leave it to me! Once my goblin friend and Satan smash everything apart, I'll clean up the little leftovers!"
"So we're licking salt again?"
"It'll be honey, you brain-damaged yordle."
"My brain is perfectly healthy! But why aren't we using your barrier, cultist granny? If your barrier blocks everything, doesn't that make the mad scientist granny unnecessary?"
Listening nearby, Jinhyuk swallowed dryly.
Kancho had just used the phrase 'mad scientist' without the slightest hesitation.
How far exactly was this guy's vocabulary evolving?
"Huh? Satan wasn't around during the dismantling earlier."
Elia pointed toward the Black Sea.
"That divine beast thing over there can tear through shields and barriers, right?"
"A fish has abilities like that?"
"It looks like a fish, but it's actually a highly spiritual existence. Divine beasts all seem to possess unique powers. Even the turtle that used to be my friend possessed incredible knowledge and wisdom."
Rustle.
Dark appeared nearby, brushing his hair back.
"My job ends here."
"Good work."
Jinhyuk walked to the cliff and stared at the slowly rising whirlpool.
Thanks to Dark buying them time, they hadn't been too late.
"I'll begin."
Along with the sound of a cold bell chime, white energy erupted from the Four-Seal Sword.
The power spiraled upward, coiling through the sky above the island.
Even the master of the Black Sea seemed to sense something.
The whirlpool became more violent and accelerated its ascent.
Camela quietly recited:
"O energy drowned in darkness, lose your way before my breath.
This is the place where I draw breath.
Every place touched by my name shall become a boundary sealed by light.
Let all impurity return to the earth.
Let false shadows scatter upon the wind.
Let the whispers that sought to shake me fade like the mist of dawn."
After taking a deep breath, she warned:
"Prepare yourselves. Things will become turbulent."
The moment she finished speaking, she drove the sword downward.
At the same time, the energy coiling above the island poured down.
KRAAAAAASH!!!
The entire island shook.
Violent waves erupted throughout the Black Sea.
"A freaking earthquake?!"
"Momo! Grab Nia! Hold on tight!"
Whoosh!
Kancho yelled for everyone to hold on, then got blown away himself.
Jinhyuk immediately rushed forward and caught him.
"As expected of the Commander! I knew you'd save me—Eh?!"
Kancho's ears twitched nervously after seeing Jinhyuk's face.
"You look like you've been beaten up!"
"I have."
His face still throbbed from the earlier fight.
When this was over, he'd rub eggs on it.
And put Karakal's ring back on.
Walking toward the edge of the cliff, he looked down.
The master of the Black Sea clearly considered Camela's power a threat.
The corruption was desperately hammering against her divine energy, trying to break through.
"Commander?"
"Yeah?"
"Something's coming."
Perched on his shoulder, Kancho looked toward the opposite horizon.
Jinhyuk followed his gaze.
"...Huh."
"WHAT ARE THOSE SUPER GIANT TUNA?!"
Even Mophwang, who rarely showed surprise, let out a sharp snort.
The thing approaching from the distant sea was simply absurdly huge.
"There's not just one or two of them!"
At least several hundred.
And for some reason, they were repeatedly making a strange movement as they swam.
"Ah."
Jinhyuk frowned.
It didn't take long for him to understand what the movement meant.
The Black Sea's waves continued rising, becoming something closer to a tsunami.
Half his vision became filled with black water.
"Master."
Camela called out to him with a faint smile.
"I'll leave that to you."
The sight of Camela sweating this much was unprecedented since Azriel.
Ancient divine beasts that had existed in the Tower for ages.
And the Black Sea, saturated by their corruption over countless years.
Even with a divine weapon, handling it alone was naturally difficult.
'Let's try it.'
After the Collector class advanced to Unique rank, Jinhyuk had gained a unique skill:
Phantom Draw.
A ridiculously overpowered ability that allowed him to borrow a unique trait, unique skill, or Noble Phantasm from a Hero Card he didn't possess.
But naturally, such a broken skill had a fatal flaw.
The card pool included every existence that could become a Hero Card.
Meaning the number of possibilities was absurd.
Every time he'd used it before, he got nonsense.
Mystery cats appeared.
Carrots sprouted from the ground.
Things utterly unrelated to combat.
Clack!
First, he set up a heavy machine gun on one side of the cliff.
Kancho immediately rushed over and grabbed the trigger.
"Deputy Commander Kancho of the Yordle Rangers! I will fire when they enter range!"
Giving a thumbs-up, Jinhyuk estimated the distance between the island and the approaching tsunami.
Even if Phantom Draw gave him another useless item, there would still be enough time to recharge his mana.
So why not gamble?
If he got something useful, great.
If another carrot appeared, he'd eat it for dinner.
[Phantom Draw]
A thick deck of cards appeared before him.
The cards slowly scattered until his vision was filled with black cards marked only by question marks.
"Please give me something useful!"
He quickly pulled one card.
The others vanished, leaving only a single card.
The question mark disappeared.
Ding!
[You have drawn the unique skill "Inexium" from the Mage of the Magic Tower ?????!]
[Player Yoo Jinhyuk's current level is 150. This level is absurdly insufficient to fully manifest Inexium!]
[The skill will be heavily nerfed to match your current level!]
Words like insufficient and nerfed filled his vision.
Normally, he'd click his tongue.
But not now.
Because this was the first time since obtaining Phantom Draw that he'd received something his level wasn't high enough to use properly.
[Activating Inexium! Please designate the impact location!]
Another minor flaw of Phantom Draw:
Since the skill came from an uncollected Hero Card, no description appeared.
Meaning he had absolutely no idea what would happen until it was cast.
For now, he designated the incoming tuna swarm.
Hopefully it wasn't some spell that amplified corruption or fed nutrients to giant fish.
[Impact location selected!]
[Inexium is being cast!]
RUMBLE...
Clouds gathered across the previously clear sky.
Anyone could tell something was wrong.
Naturally, everyone looked upward.
"Hey, Master? What did you just do? I have a really bad feeling about this."
"This may sound irresponsible, but I honestly don't know."
"Is lightning coming down?!"
"Maybe. I aimed it at the tuna, so it probably won't affect us too mu—huh?"
Jinhyuk narrowed his eyes.
For some reason, one side of the clouds was turning crimson.
Goblin Renya squinted.
Even amidst the clash between divine power and corruption, the atmosphere suddenly began to churn.
He turned to look at his master.
What exactly had he summoned?
"Elia."
"Hm?"
"Do you know the word Inexium?"
"Oh? That's an ancient term. How do you know that?"
"What does it mean?"
"Not exactly a word I'd like to hear in this situation...
It means Extinction."
"Oh..."
Cold sweat trickled down Elia's forehead when she saw Jinhyuk's reaction.
"Master, don't tell me—?!"
She didn't need to finish.
Something slowly emerged from behind the clouds.
The eyes of Elia, the Stellar Alchemist, nearly popped out of her head.
It was the first time she'd reacted like this since joining the party.
"GRAAAAAAH...!!"
"Guh...!"
Even Momo and Kancho stood frozen with their mouths hanging open.
Normally they'd be screaming questions.
But the sheer presence of what appeared before them left them speechless.
Jinhyuk swallowed.
'A meteor? Seriously?'
Because the skill had been heavily nerfed, only one appeared.
But its size and the heat surrounding it were beyond imagination.
'Wait a second, Mr. Meteor...'
He quickly re-evaluated the distance.
Before learning it was a meteor, he'd thought the casting location was far enough away.
Now he wasn't so sure.
ROOOOOAR!!!
The meteor streaked across the sky with a blazing crimson tail.
Jinhyuk immediately poured down mana potions.
He even drank one of Elia's mana potions—something he would normally never touch.
"BLEEEGH!"
Gagging violently, he summoned every Black Dragon Scale he possessed and deployed them between the island and the tuna swarm.
A moment later—
FLASH!
The meteor struck.
An overwhelming burst of light exploded outward.
The entire world turned white.
Then came the heat.
KWWWWAAAAAAANGGGG—!!!
A deafening roar battered the entire island.
There could hardly be a scene more deserving of the word Extinction.
Standing at the cliff's edge, Seira looked toward Jinhyuk.
Words like amazing or impressive were no longer enough.
She genuinely wondered:
Did her master even possess a limit?
"Hah... You truly never fail to surprise me."
Camela laughed in disbelief while holding the Four-Seal Sword.
Because she was actively battling the corruption, she immediately realized what had happened.
The contamination spread throughout the endless Black Sea had been cut in half.
By a single attack.
And the aftermath wasn't over yet.
"The sea disappeared!!!"
"Where did all the water go?!"
The enormous volume of water had been blasted away instantly, leaving a gigantic crater where the ocean once stood.
Then, perhaps one second later—
The water returned.
A pillar of water taller than mountains erupted into the sky.
"Eh?!"
Kancho, lying behind the machine gun, wrinkled his nose.
"The ocean... is coming back."
The divine beasts leading the tsunami had been completely erased.
Their tidal wave vanished as well.
But in exchange, something far worse appeared.
A tsunami incomparably larger than anything before.
It looked as though one side of the world had become a towering wall of water.
KWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!
