Chapter 54 - Pikachu’s Magnetic Multiverse Journey! [54]

Ray Chu's words snapped Lisa Lisa out of her thoughts.

Extending her Hamon senses, she instantly detected countless humanoid beings rapidly closing in within a fifty-meter radius.

Not human… this presence—it's vampires!

Having slain vampires before, Lisa Lisa was intimately familiar with their foul aura. Even underwater, that distinctive stench was unmistakable.

There was no warning, no exchange of words—the battle erupted immediately.

A volley of spear guns tore through the water first, their sharp tips slicing straight toward the pair like harpoons aimed at deep-sea beasts.

With a quick glance, Ray Chu and Lisa Lisa moved simultaneously, dodging to opposite sides.

Water conducted Hamon energy beautifully. Ray Chu used this property, achieving speed and agility underwater equal to any fish.

In mere seconds, he saw the attackers clearly. Each figure wore some kind of special diving suit, goggles obscuring their eyes—but the eerie red glow beneath confirmed their identity without doubt: vampires.

More than twenty of them charged forward, with unknown numbers still lurking in the darkness. Ray Chu noticed the unmistakable swastika symbol of Nazi Germany emblazoned on their diving gear.

His gaze sharpened. If the Germans had found them here, then Air Supplena Island's training base was compromised. He doubted the Nazis would adhere to any notions of honor—under assault by modern weaponry and an alliance of vampires and Pillar Men, how long could Joseph and the others hold out?

But don't you realize? Hamon energy flows freely through water.

Facing the charging enemy, Ray Chu pressed his palms together. A powerful surge of Hamon burst outward, rippling through the water in a broad ring.

Yet, aside from briefly scattering them, the converted Nazi vampires took no real damage. Two vampires with razor-sharp mutated arms immediately lunged forward.

Ray Chu arched sharply back, twisting gracefully sideways underwater, narrowly evading their deadly blades.

I see now. It's that suit.

It was similar to Pillar Man Santana's skin, insulating against Hamon. Clearly, the Nazis had studied their weaknesses carefully.

This was bad. If the enemy was constantly improving while his own allies stood still, the war might end before it had truly begun.

Still, so what?

In an instant, Ray Chu vanished from sight. A vampire attempting to grab him from behind suddenly screamed—Ray Chu's knife-like hand pierced straight through its skull.

"[HAMON OVERDRIVE]!"

The protective diving suit shredded instantly, and as Hamon energy surged in, the vampire's head ballooned grotesquely before exploding in a violent spray of gore.

"Just as I thought. You're still vulnerable to Hamon at your core. Slightly troublesome, but I've already found your weakness."

Observing the horde of vampires swarming toward him, Ray Chu flashed deeper toward the ocean floor. The terrifying vampire school chased after him like ravenous piranhas, determined to rip him apart.

A great white shark that happened to swim by ran headfirst into the vampire swarm, instantly torn into bloody shreds within seconds.

Even elite soldiers, after becoming vampires, succumb to basic animal instincts.

There it is—the thing I need.

Ray Chu extended both hands toward the seabed. Two sea urchins, covered in dense, needle-like spines, floated swiftly into his palms. Infused heavily with Hamon, the urchins began spinning rapidly, emitting a resonant underwater hum.

"Go! [HAMON SEA URCHIN BARRAGE]!"

The rapidly spinning sea urchins shot forward like underwater bullets. A vampire at the front swung his mutated bone-hammer arm, smashing one of them into fragments.

Yet that very blow triggered the sea urchin's violent explosion. Hundreds of needle-like spines sprayed outward, piercing through the vampires' protective suits and embedding deep into their bodies. Infused with powerful Hamon, each needle delivered unbearable, corrosive agony.

"Aaaaagh—!"

Soul-deep torment erupted from the former soldiers. They clawed desperately at their melting bodies, twisted bones snapping, unable to halt the rapid decay until finally collapsing into lifeless, disintegrating piles of flesh on the ocean floor.

Only a handful of vampires fortunate enough to escape the initial attack were swiftly dispatched by Ray Chu's decisive blows.

"If you choose to abandon humanity, this agony is your consequence. Everything has its price."

Ray Chu watched silently, his expression unwavering. Then his eyes snapped toward another direction through the dark water.

"Lisa Lisa's aura is weakening—I need to hurry!"

But when Ray Chu arrived, he found only vampire remains, melted by Hamon, drifting in the water—and Lisa Lisa unconscious nearby.

Did she exhaust all her Hamon? he thought. Barely maintaining minimal Hamon breathing, preventing her from drowning outright.

Quickly checking her condition, he found no severe injuries. She had simply passed out from exhaustion.

Without hesitation, Ray Chu scooped Lisa Lisa into his arms and surged upward. Seconds later, he erupted from beneath the waves with a loud splash, startling tourists relaxing peacefully on the nearby beach.

"Hey! Who are you, boy? Why're you holding that woman?"

"Look! A beautiful woman!"

Two Italian coast guards approached him as Ray Chu emerged from the sea carrying Lisa Lisa.

Ignoring them entirely, Ray Chu glanced around, spotted the sports car they had arrived in, carefully placed Lisa Lisa into the passenger seat, then sped off with a roar of the engine.

The two guards stood dumbfounded in the wind.

"That bastard… completely ignored us!" one of them fumed, face red with anger.

"Forget it," his companion shrugged, patting him sympathetically. "You saw his ride. He's probably some rich jerk."

"But… that woman was clearly unconscious!"

"Maybe it's just some weird new game these rich people play," the other guard sighed. "Either way, we shouldn't mess with the rich."

Entirely unaware of the elaborate narrative the two guards had constructed around him—now labeled a womanizing playboy—Ray Chu sped onward. Switching to a speedboat midway, he finally returned to Air Supplena Island just before nightfall.

By that time, Lisa Lisa stirred awake. Realizing she was lying next to Ray Chu, she sat up hurriedly, her cheeks faintly flushed.

With her intelligence, she knew she could handle a group of ordinary vampire soldiers herself; naturally, Ray Chu, even stronger than her, would have dealt with them easily.

Yet she'd fainted due to exhaustion, meaning Ray Chu must have rescued her.

Her eyes drifted downward, embarrassment flickering subtly across her normally composed features.
