Chapter 184 - Chapter 184: The Weight of the World

Chapter 184: The Weight of the World

*BOOM!

The Tailed Beast Bomb's detonation was cataclysmic. An orb of blinding light erupted from the point of impact, expanding outward in a perfect sphere of pure destruction. The shockwave flattened everything in its radius, carving a massive circular crater into the earth that would remain for generations.

The afterglow of the explosion painted the faces of every watching ninja with the same expression: horror.

This was the power of a Tailed Beast. This was what the legends spoke of—the ability to level mountains, to destroy villages, to reshape the very geography of the world. The Five-Tails had just demonstrated why these creatures were feared above all else.

But what terrified them even more was the truth that followed:

Someone had just bounced that attack back like it was nothing.

"Impossible," a Suna jonin whispered. "No human can do that. No human can just… reflect a Tailed Beast Bomb!"

The Third Kazekage's face was ashen. "Rakshasa," he breathed. "He is well-named. A demon in human skin."

Nōhei's hands trembled at his sides. The Jinchuriki—Iwa's ultimate weapon—was being humiliated. Dominated. Beaten. And there was nothing he could do about it.

But the Five-Tails was not finished.

*"ROOOOAR!"

The roar that tore from its throat was not of pain, but of fury. From within the dust and smoke of its own detonated bomb, dozens of smaller energy projectiles erupted—not the concentrated power of a Tailed Beast Bomb, but still lethal, still devastating.

They streaked toward Ragnar like a swarm of angry stars.

Ragnar's response was immediate. The Kusanagi blade materialized in his right hand, its edge gleaming with purple light.

*"Gravity Blade: Tiger!"

He raised the sword high. Purple energy gathered around him, coalescing behind him into the form of a massive, snarling tiger—dark as midnight, eyes blazing with violet fire.

*"ROOOAR!" The tiger's roar answered the beast's, shaking heaven and earth.

The blade came down.

Lateral gravity erupted from the strike, given form and fury. The purple tiger leapt, tearing through the air with claws extended, and met the swarm of energy projectiles head-on.

*BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. BOOM!

Each projectile was swatted aside like flies. Some fell into empty battlefield. Some struck distant mountainsides, carving new scars into the landscape.

But most—most rained down upon the camps of Iwa and Suna.

The Third Kazekage moved instantly. Sand iron—what little he had left after Ragnar's flames—coalesced into shields, protecting his ninja from the bombardment.

Nōhei screamed orders, and Iwa ninja threw up earth walls, desperate to survive the friendly fire of their own失控 weapon.

When the dust settled, both camps were battered, bruised, and terrified.

And the Five-Tails stood in the center of it all, roaring its defiance at the sky.

Ragnar observed the creature with cold calculation.

This could not continue indefinitely. The Five-Tails, even in its partially transformed state, had effectively unlimited chakra. It could fight for days, weeks, without tiring. Ragnar, for all his power, was still human. Still bound by mortal limits.

A direct confrontation was inefficient. Risky. Stupid.

But he had other tools.

The next move must end this.

The Five-Tails, driven by pure animal instinct, sensed something change in the air. The floating human's presence shifted—became more focused, more dangerous. It clawed at the ground uneasily, a low growl rumbling in its chest.

Ragnar extended his palm toward the beast.

Not at the beast itself—but at the space around it.

*"Gravity Control: Weightless Field."

Purple light erupted from his body in waves, spreading outward like ripples in a pond. But these ripples did not fade—they expanded, covering more and more of the battlefield. Three-quarters of the second battlefield. Then more. Then everything.

Where the purple light touched, the laws of physics bent.

The ground trembled. Stones began to rise—slowly at first, then faster. Soil lifted in chunks. Trees uprooted themselves and floated skyward. Boulders the size of houses drifted into the air like dandelion seeds. Even mountains—small ones, but mountains nonetheless—began to groan and crack as their foundations lost all weight.

The sky filled with darkness.

Not the darkness of clouds or night—the darkness of everything that had ever been on the ground, now floating weightless in the air. Rocks, earth, trees, equipment, debris from a hundred battles—all suspended, waiting.

The watching armies could only stare, mouths agape, minds refusing to process what their eyes were seeing.

"This is… this is beyond ninjutsu," a Konoha chunin stammered.

"It's like the end of the world," another whispered.

"WHAT KIND OF POWER IS THAT?!" someone screamed.

Even Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Orochimaru were speechless. They had seen Ragnar do impossible things before. But this—this was something else entirely.

"He's moving the earth itself," Jiraiya breathed.

"Not moving," Orochimaru corrected, his voice hoarse with wonder. "He's… unmaking its weight. Gravity is not a force he controls—it's a toy."

Tsunade said nothing. She simply watched her little brother with eyes that held both pride and a dawning, terrible understanding.

He's not just strong. He's becoming something the world has never seen.

Ragnar's focus was absolute.

Controlling such a vast area was draining him rapidly. His physical reserves, enhanced by Devil Fruits and Haki training, were being pushed to their limits. Sweat beaded on his forehead. His breathing, while controlled, was deeper than before.

But he held.

With one hand, he maintained the weightless field, gathering the floating debris into a single, massive sphere—a crude, imperfect imitation of the Rinnegan's Chibaku Tensei. With the other hand, he maintained the thirty-fold gravity pinning the Five-Tails to the ground.

The beast looked up.

Above it, a mountain of earth and stone had gathered—a small planetoid, crude but massive, hanging directly overhead.

And in that moment, for the first time in its thousand-year existence, the Five-Tails felt something unfamiliar:

Fear.

*"Roooar…?" The sound was different now. Uncertain. Scared.

Its animal instincts screamed at it to flee, to run, to escape—but the gravity holding it down was absolute. It could not move. Could not dodge. Could only watch as death gathered above.

Ragnar's arm came down.

The makeshift planet fell.

Not with the speed of natural gravity—with the speed of his gravity, multiplied and focused and aimed. It plummeted toward the Five-Tails like a comet striking the earth.

The beast's eyes went wide. Its roar became a shriek of pure terror.

*"ROOOO—"

*BOOOOOOOOOOM!
