Chapter 192 - CHAPTER 192: THE INDESTRUCTIBLE GOLDEN BODY

CHAPTER 192: THE INDESTRUCTIBLE GOLDEN BODY

The entire battlefield fell into absolute silence.

Every ninja—Konoha, Iwa, Suna alike—stared blankly at the fading light at the center of the destruction. That light had been so pure, so absolute, so complete that it seemed capable of purifying the entire world itself.

Dust Release. Bloodline Elimination. A ninjutsu that had transcended the five basic elements entirely. Fire, Earth, and Wind chakra fused into something new, something beyond normal comprehension. Its power was truly unparalleled.

Had Rakshasa been annihilated?

Was he dead? Really dead?

Everything felt so dreamlike, so unbelievable. Not long ago, Rakshasa had dominated this very battlefield. He had made thousands kneel. He had crushed a tailed beast. He had nearly killed a Kage. He was the existence that made countless ninja tremble with fear just by appearing.

And now he was supposedly annihilated?

How could this be real? How could this be possible?

"Hmph."

High above, the Third Tsuchikage looked down at the scarred earth and snorted with cold satisfaction. His masterpiece had succeeded. An existence like Rakshasa should not be allowed to live. His death would be a tremendous loss to Konoha—and in that sense, the Iwa ninja who had fallen earlier were now paid for. One Rakshasa for dozens of Iwa elites? That was not a loss at all.

"What a pity."

Orochimaru shook his head slowly, genuine regret coloring his voice. Even he, with all his cynical detachment, now believed Ragnar could not survive. Dust Release had been studied extensively by the Tsuchikage himself. There was simply no solution to it. Anyone caught in its path died. That was the rule.

He had hoped to have a meaningful conversation with Rakshasa someday. To discuss philosophy. To explore science. To understand the secrets behind such a fascinating specimen.

Now it seemed that chance would never come.

Under Dust Release, everything turned to dust. He doubted even a single drop of blood remained.

Still... to be honest...

Orochimaru's mind wandered to darker places. Facing Ragnar's perfect body had stirred something in him. If the body still existed—if by some miracle it remained intact—he wasn't sure he could resist the temptation to study it. To dig. To research. To unlock its secrets.

No one could resist such temptation. No one.

"Is this... the end...?" Jiraiya's voice trembled with disbelief. His mind flashed back to Ragnar's cold, aloof demeanor—the way the boy always seemed annoyed by his presence. But despite that personality, despite the friction between them, Jiraiya had never doubted that Ragnar was a good kid at heart.

He had genuinely liked the boy.

Sigh.

The ninja world was so cruel. So unforgiving. So real.

A single tear escaped Tsunade's eye, trailing down her cheek. Her heart felt like it was being crushed, as if something infinitely precious had been torn away from her.

Her body trembled with the force of her grief. Tears covered her face freely now. She clenched her fists so tightly that her knuckles went white. She couldn't speak. She couldn't move. She could only stand there, frozen in agony.

Then—

"Tsunade-sama..."

A soft voice whispered quietly from her shoulder. "I can still feel Ragnar-sama's presence."

"What?!"

Tsunade's expression transformed in an instant. The little slug that Tsunade had given Ragnar—the clone of Katsuyu—had crawled onto her shoulder at some point. Now it rubbed against her cheek affectionately before continuing:

"Master Ragnar's aura is still detectable through my clone. If Master Ragnar had died, I would certainly not be able to sense anything. The connection would be severed completely."

"Not dead!" Tsunade's voice cracked with joy. Fresh tears fell, but now they were tears of relief, of overwhelming happiness.

"Little slug, you'd better not be lying," Jiraiya said quickly, hope warring with caution in his voice. "If you're lying, I'll summon every toad from Mount Myoboku to come eat you."

"...Jiraiya-sama, I'm not lying. It's the truth." The little slug sounded genuinely frightened by the threat.

"Excellent!" Jiraiya's excitement exploded outward.

"Not dead..." Orochimaru said nothing more, but an almost imperceptible smile curved his lips. Survived Dust Release? How fascinating.

No matter how brilliant the light of Dust Release, it had to fade eventually.

And finally, the white light that had gathered countless radiances began to dim. The center of the battlefield slowly emerged from the glow.

There, a golden figure stood proudly.

Ragnar simply stood there, bathed in golden light as if wearing armor forged from sunlight itself. He stood in the crater that Dust Release had carved into the earth, but he seemed to dominate the entire sky. Once again, he had become the focus of every eye on the battlefield.

That was Ragnar. Rakshasa.

He was not dead.

And in the sky above, Tsuchikage Onoki's face froze in utter astonishment.

"Dust Release... was blocked? The target was not destroyed?"

Endless horror surged through Onoki's heart. There were many ninja who could avoid Dust Release—that was simply a matter of speed and timing. But if he had bloodline elimination and still couldn't simply kill everything, then wouldn't that mean he wasn't invincible after all?

But he had traversed the ninja world for decades. He had never once encountered a ninja who could survive Dust Release head-on!

Bloodline elimination was, after all, a power that transcended normal bloodline limits. It was supposed to be absolute.

And just now, this had been the perfect killing strike—a sneak attack against an exhausted target!

"Haha." Ragnar couldn't help but chuckle. Yes, he actually laughed. He had almost capsized in the gutter just now.

Dust Release seemed like an unsolvable technique in the current era. Except for the power of the Six Paths—the Truth-Seeking Balls, or the Rinnegan's Preta Path ability to absorb chakra—nothing should be able to withstand it. Not Susano'o. Not Wood Release. Nothing.

Its fundamental nature was to decompose everything, to reduce matter to its molecular and atomic components.

But there were always exceptions in the world. There was always unexplainable matter that simply existed regardless of theory.

Ragnar's Human-Human Fruit, Model: Daibutsu, had not yet reached Level 5 Awakening. But it had granted him an additional skill—an incomparably powerful skill that defied all normal understanding.

The Indestructible Golden Body.

Just as every Devil Fruit had its own unique ultimate power, this was his.

As the name suggested, the Indestructible Golden Body rendered him completely immune to all attacks for ten seconds. During that time, he could not be destroyed. It was an incredibly broken skill—an "I win" button against any assault.

Like the Sharingan's Izanagi and Izanami, it simply had no solution.

But such power came with a price.

Once this skill was used, he would be unable to access the Great Buddha form of the Human-Human Fruit for the next three months. The cost was significant—but for the current situation, it was entirely acceptable.

Beyond the Great Buddha, his other abilities had already surpassed the current ninja world's standards. He had nothing to fear.

"Impossible!" Onoki's roar echoed across the battlefield. "My Dust Release is invincible!"

"Hahaha!"

Below, Onihei—the Tsuchikage's assistant—had completely collapsed mentally. Why was Rakshasa not dead? Why? WHY?

He felt his entire life's emotional journey compressing into this single moment. The highs. The lows. The endless uncertainty.

In this era, in many respects, Dust Release could be understood as invincible. It was unbeatable against physical attacks. Even the Third Kazekage's Iron Sand—called the strongest offensive ninjutsu in the ninja world—was only a bloodline limit after all.

But Rakshasa had just proven that "invincible" meant nothing.

Every Iwagakure ninja present wore expressions of profound shock. Their faces showed complete disbelief.

What kind of monster was Rakshasa?!

"Lord Tsuchikage's Dust Release... was actually blocked?!"

"This... this can't be happening!"

"No bloodline limit can stop Lord Tsuchikage's Dust Release! Nothing! Nothing should be able to stop it!"

The Iwa ninja's eyes were dull, their voices trembling as they spoke. Their words carried tones of absolute disbelief, of questioning reality itself.

In Konoha's ranks, Tsunade was crying again.

She had never cried like this before in her entire life—not once. This overwhelming mixture of sorrow and joy, of despair and relief, was completely new to her.

This damn bastard.
