Zap!
A spatial distortion occurred again. As soon as Arvin exited the ancient ruins, the cold night air immediately swept his face. And the sky had already turned dark, the sign of night had enveloped the entire land of the Astoria Kingdom.
Inside the dark wild forest, there was only pure silence accompanied by the chorus of nocturnal insects calling out to each other. Arvin, who was now standing upright on the ground covered with dry leaves while carrying Alvein on his back, looked up at the star-studded sky. He felt quite surprised to see the day had turned so dark.
Oh my, I didn't expect the day to have turned into night like this. Arvin thought, slightly cursing his own miscalculation. The time distortion inside those ruins is truly troublesome. If it is already night out here, I don't know how long I spent while I was inside there earlier.
On his back, Alvein, whose presence was still hidden by the 'invisible' magic, kept resting his chin on the crook of his prospective husband's neck.
The magic entity, who had spent thousands of years inside the stuffy underground building, now took a deep breath. He felt very amazed by the fresh outside night air caressing his skin, something he could only long for in his long memory.
While walking slowly through the dark forest bushes, Arvin remembered one important thing that was his main goal.
"Hey Alvein!" Arvin called out with his baritone voice breaking the silence of the night. "Are there really no magic books or any research notes belonging to your master inside that room earlier?"
"All of them are no longer there." Alvein answered honestly as it was, his voice sounding soft right next to Arvin's ear. "The notes about all the important research he conducted were not kept in that room, but were kept very safely in another place. But unfortunately... even I don't know exactly where that place is."
"Is that so?" Arvin said, letting out a long sigh. His tone of voice sounded a little disappointed, but he quickly understood and accepted the fact. He carved a faint smile on his face again. "Well, that is fine. Getting back a lot of magic crystals, treasures, and most importantly... being able to get a cute and perfect creature like you to be my spouse, all of that is already more than enough for me!"
The sweet and sincere sentence spoken by Arvin successfully made Alvein's heart warm. A faint red flush spread across his invisible porcelain cheeks. He felt very valued and wanted, not just as a relic of the past.
"Let's go home to our house now, Alvein." Arvin invited gently, both of his hands supporting Alvein's thighs to make his piggyback position even more comfortable.
Feeling the warmth and sense of security from the human body carrying him, Alvein's embrace on Arvin's chest instantly became tighter and possessive.
"Yes, let's go home, Honey."
Arvin's footsteps suddenly stopped instantly. The address Honey he had just heard, spoken with such a spoiled and melodic tone, successfully made Arvin's heart flutter. He felt very happy receiving that sweet address, but on the other hand, he also felt curious about where an ancient entity like Alvein could know about that term of endearment.
"Who did you learn to use that word Honey from?" Arvin asked, tilting his head slightly so he could be closer to Alvein's face.
"I often heard it when my creator's wife called him by the address Honey every time she came to visit me. That address sounded very affectionate." Alvein answered with an adorable honest tone. "Therefore, because you are now my master and also my prospective husband... I want to call you by that address too."
Alvein then brought his face even closer until his lips almost touched Arvin's ear. His warm breath tickled the skin of the young man's neck.
"Do you feel displeased if I call you by that address?" Alvein whispered, his tone sounding a little anxious and afraid of being rejected.
Hearing that sweet anxiety, Arvin chuckled softly. He raised his right hand into the air, groping for a moment before finally finding the top of Alvein's transparent head. Affectionately, Arvin gently stroked the entity's fine silver hair which was invisible to his eyes.
"Of course I am very happy if you call me like that, Alvein." Arvin said with a very soothing tone, pampering his fourth spouse. "You know? My other three spouses at home also have their own addresses to call me, their husband. So, that address will become your own trademark."
"Really?" Alvein responded, his voice instantly turning cheerful and relieved. "Alright then, I have decided! I will always call you by the address Honey from now on until forever!"
"Hahaha. Yeah, go ahead and call me by that address if it makes you happy, Alvein. It would feel really weird if you called me 'Master', since I'm your husband."
"Of course, Honey!" Alvein replied with a very cheerful tone, hugging his prospective husband's chest tightly and resting his chin comfortably on the shoulder that was currently carrying his body.
Enveloped by overflowing happy feelings, Alvein, who was carried safely on his prospective husband's sturdy back, slowly left the silent wild forest towards civilization.
Some time later, the two of them finally arrived in front of the academy's back gate with a giant 25-meter-high stone wall. Arvin did not waste much time. Without putting Alvein down from his back, he immediately condensed the mana around him.
Crack! Tap! Crack! Tap!
Very agilely, Arvin created a series of ice block footholds in the air and immediately jumped on them one by one like climbing stairs. His movements were so smooth, fast, and powerful, until he finally arrived and stood balanced on top of the city boundary wall.
A moment after he stabilized his position and was about to jump straight down towards the inner area of the academy, Alvein suddenly spoke up to stop him.
"Honey, please don't go down yet!" Alvein requested softly while gently pulling Arvin's collar. "I want to see the view of the world from up here for just a moment."
The simple request spoken with a pleading tone was immediately and gladly approved by Arvin.
"Of course. Get down slowly." Arvin replied.
Alvein immediately released the lock of his legs and got down from his prospective husband's broad back. After his feet stepped on the cold stone wall surface, the fairy deactivated his 'invisible' magic, letting his beautiful true form be seen under the moonlight.
He walked to the edge of the wall. The night wind blew, making his silver hair and two pairs of dragonfly wings flutter slowly. His pair of golden eyes were mesmerized seeing the sea of lights from thousands of city buildings and the palace stretching widely from that height.
