Chapter 214 - Arvin’s First Wrath

After extinguishing the light magic orb in the room, the night wind blowing softly greeted Arvin's face as soon as he opened the door and stepped out of the dirt hut. However, his footsteps immediately stopped.

Right in front of him, under the dim moonlight, seven youth figures were already standing waiting for him. Allen, Alrain, Ordion, Alvein, Kylen, Dylan, and Davin stood in a row, staring straight at him.

"Since when have the seven of you been here?" asked Arvin breaking the silence.

Hearing that casual question, Davin widened his eyes.

"You who have sharp instincts and can detect someone's heartbeat from a distance didn't realize our presence here all this time?" replied Davin in a shocked tone. "Are you joking with me?"

"I am not joking at all. I was too focused reading the contents of those ancient books and thinking about the next crucial step that I suppressed my own perception sensor."

Silence took over again for a few seconds, before Alrain finally spoke. The green-haired youth laughed softly, a laugh that sounded full of the irony of the past.

"But honestly, I never expected that Davin was the one who killed me in that era, and after my death, Allen was the one who finally killed him." chimed in Alrain while shaking his head. He glanced briefly at Allen. "It turns out, your first spouse truly regretted his actions in the past life to the point of becoming that cruel to his own comrade. Hahaha."

The night air instantly felt frozen for Arvin. His eyes immediately glared sharply at Davin. However, before he had the chance to open his mouth, Kylen who stood beside Alrain also spoke up.

"I truly never expected that the five of you are people who had died in the past and came back to life to this time again!" said Kylen with a shocked tone that had not completely faded, still trying to digest the regression phenomenon that defied the laws of nature.

"I am the same as Kylen." added Dylan, who also looked as shaken as him. He stared at Arvin with a gaze full of admiration mixed with amazement. "Now everything makes sense. No wonder you know everything about me, my family background, even the crazy way to awaken my hidden power."

Hearing that barrage of sentences, Arvin's jaw hardened. He didn't feel relieved, instead it was the opposite.

"I am the one who should be very surprised here instead!" replied Arvin with a tone that suddenly became low and cold. He never expected that the biggest secret about their past lives was instead exposed much earlier to Kylen and Dylan outside his control.

His gaze pierced right towards Davin.

"Davin, are you crazy?" hissed Arvin, stepping forward. "Where did you tell them? If such an important secret spreads widely to the enemies' ears and ruins my entire future plan, I will kill you with my own hands even though your face is cute!"

That deadly threat did not necessarily make Davin falter. As a former alliance member accustomed to facing danger, he only smiled slightly in response, feeling he had taken the proper precautionary steps.

"Just calm down, Arvin. Not a single person knows about it other than the two of them!" answered Davin casually, crossing his arms in front of his chest. "Because I told them right here, in this yard while waiting for you to come out of that hut. Alrain has also set up a soundproof wind magic around us since earlier that prevents other people or spies from eavesdropping on our conversation here."

Davin pointed at the two people who had just found out the secret.

"Besides, I told it to Kylen and Dylan because both of them are your spouses. They have the right to know who they will spend the rest of their lives with." he continued again with a defensive tone. "If this information leaks out, it means either Kylen or Dylan leaked it, not me!"

"Still, the source of the leak is because of your mouth!" chimed in Arvin, his voice rising an octave, feeling truly annoyed because of Davin's action taking blind initiative to say unnecessary things at the wrong time. "If you told it only to Dylan, I would have no problem at all! Because he is not tied to any party! But to Kylen? Didn't you think about the political consequences? Have you started to get bored with your second life after returning to the present time?"

A very dense and absolute killing intent exploded from Arvin's body, sweeping over the seven youths in front of him.

"Use your gate right now if you don't want to die by my hands tonight!"

The threat that came out of Arvin's mouth was not a mere bluff. He was very serious with his words. Davin who was previously acting casual, instantly tensed up. He could clearly see from the gaze that was truly very furious at him.

This is bad! He is truly serious about wanting to kill me! screamed Davin in his heart, cold sweat starting to flow down his temples like corn kernels, feeling his life was truly on the line.

Driven by his survival instinct, the youth spread his hands. A spatial vortex opened behind him. However, right when Davin opened the gate, an anomaly occurred.

Crack! Crash!

In the blink of an eye, the dimensional gate that had just opened froze by very dense blue ice, then shattered to pieces into magical glass shards in the air.

Davin was very surprised to see his absolute spatial magic freeze and shatter to pieces that easily. In a panic, he tried to focus his mana again, opening three gates at once in different directions. However, the result remained the same.

Crack! Crash!

All the gates he created immediately froze and shattered to pieces in an instant without mercy.

"You will never be able to escape anywhere once I have locked you!" said Arvin firmly, his voice echoing full of intimidation. "If this yard was a real battlefield, you would already be dead by my hands! And even if you miraculously managed to enter and escape into that gate, I could still track and find you in an instant!"

Arvin walked cutting the distance between them.

"Because when you were busy making many gates, I secretly had analyzed and made a perfect copy of your spatial magic. In other words, right now, the foundation of our gate magic is connected to each other!"

Davin's eyes widened greatly. He never expected that Arvin could copy his very rare special spatial magic so quickly just from one observation.

"You... you are truly a monster!" whispered Davin in disbelief, his body frozen unable to move due to the pressure from the anger-fueled youth in front of him.

Arvin stepped closer to Davin who was still looking at him with a deathly pale face. Without hesitation, Arvin raised his right hand and held the side of the youth's face strongly, forcing him to look straight at him.

"You've made a very fatal mistake, Davin!" said Arvin firmly and coldly. "You know yourself that Kylen is a prince from the Flamort Kingdom! The bastard kingdom that I destroyed along with this Victoriaz Kingdom and also the Marland Kingdom in that era!"

Arvin stared into the youth's eyes very sharply and intimidatingly, making the youth gulp and tremble in fear under his grip.

"Do you want me to destroy this world sooner because of your blabbermouth?" challenged Arvin firmly, his grip tightening slightly. "If my plan to protect my family becomes a chaotic mess just because of your careless action, I swear on my own name, I will directly destroy this world right now and I will torture you forever!"

Arvin brought his face closer. "Even if you cry and beg the Gods for a death, there will not be a single death that will come to you! Embed that warning carefully in your mind!"

The gaze full of absolute threat and without the slightest hesitation made Davin struggle to breathe, feeling very regretful for acting recklessly and saying things he shouldn't have said without Arvin's permission.

Seeing the situation getting more out of control and Davin's life threatened, Kylen who had been quiet all this time finally stepped forward.

"Darling, please let him go. I don't care about all of that at all!" chimed in Kylen suddenly with a very firm and confident tone.

Arvin glanced slightly at Kylen without releasing his grip on Davin's face.

"If you really have to destroy my kingdom in this life because of the greed and rottenness of my father along with the elders and my siblings there, I have no problem! Just do it!" continued Kylen without the slightest doubt in his eyes. "Because right now, my loyalty is not to the Flamort Kingdom, but to you. I am your spouse."

Kylen bowed his head slightly. "I beg of you, don't blame Davin! I am actually very grateful to have found out about that era reality from him today!" he continued again, his voice softening a bit. "Davin said, in that era history, I will be tragically killed during the battle for the royal throne between siblings. Because of that valuable information, my determination grew even firmer. I decided to immediately abandon my title as a prince and want to be your spouse forever, so I can continue to live and be by your side."

Hearing the sincere confession and direct plea from his spouse, Arvin fell silent for a few moments. Slowly, he let out a long sigh.

The very dense killing intent in the air gradually disappeared. Arvin threw away all the negative emotions inside him and released his grip from Davin's face.

Arvin looked at the brownish-white-haired youth's face who was still in shock from a very close distance.

"Don't you already know my reason for being labeled as the greatest villain in human history?" said Arvin with a tone that was calm again, but full of emphasis. "I hope you don't become the instigator of the recurrence of the dark history in that era again!"

Arvin took a step back, looking at the seven youths in front of him alternately.

"I remind you once again, and implant this carefully in all of your minds!" he asserted again, giving an absolute declaration. "I will only act aggressively and destroy everything if my family and I are disturbed first. If that tragedy repeats again in this life... I guarantee, not only those three kingdoms will crumble into dust, but I will definitely destroy this entire world too!"

For the seven of them, and especially for Davin who had just directly felt the grip of death, the threat they had heard was not an empty bluff. It was an absolute promise that would definitely happen if once all members of the Vedegra family were killed.

Alrain who had always been by Arvin's side for two lifetimes, saw his husband's true terrifying expression for the first time. An expression accompanied by an aura of absolute threat, which successfully made all the hairs on his neck stand up in horror.

But for Arvin, his thinking was very simple. The death of all Vedegra family members is a very fatal mission failure.

As a former gamer, failing to carry out an important mission in a game is a very annoying thing. Moreover, if the success of that mission was actually almost right in front of the eyes, but instead ended in total failure just because of some trivial out-of-control variable that should never have happened.
