Chapter 368 - Never Judge by Appearances

The people around the wagon queue area felt terrified and incredulous at the scene unfolding right before their eyes.

Two members of a Rank A party, who had been acting so arrogantly like the lords of the streets just a few minutes ago, were now rendered powerless in an incredibly pitiful state. And what was even more nonsensical, that horrifying feat was accomplished so effortlessly by two handsome youths who, from the very beginning, were merely considered ordinary civilians.

"W—What did I just witness here?!" whispered an adventurer from another line of wagons, his voice trembling. "Those Rank A adventurers were defeated in a mere blink of an eye?"

"The two of them look so fragile and unarmed, but their strength... it is truly beyond reason." chimed in another adventurer. He gulped. "Is the capital of the Astoria Kingdom truly filled with such formidable people who don't become adventurers like us?"

Amidst the sea of astonishment, Allen simply stood calmly. He looked toward the burly man who was kneeling on the ground, his face covered in cold sweat as he tightly clutched his broken arm.

"You all should be grateful." Allen stated calmly, yet his words were laced with a heavy warning. "It's fortunate that today you encountered the two of us."

The burly man looked up while enduring the pain he was currently experiencing.

"If arrogant people like you were to meet our husband..." Allen continued, his eyes narrowing with a cold glare capable of freezing blood. "From the very beginning, all of you would have been slaughtered by him. You would never even be given the chance to speak."

The man could only listen, unable to reply with a single word. He could only bite his lower lip to endure the pain from his broken arm.

Seeing that the arrogant man no longer had any intention to fight back, the pink-haired youth then crouched down right in front of him.

"Give me your hand." Allen commanded in a flat tone. "I will heal it."

Hearing those completely unexpected words, the burly man was stunned. However, the tormenting pain made him reach out his trembling hand without a second thought.

"This will hurt a little. Endure it!" Allen warned as he reached out both hands, taking hold of the man's arm.

Crack!

"AHHHH.... IT HURTS!!!!"

A loud shriek was heard once again. The man groaned, enduring excruciating pain as Allen forcefully pulled and realigned his broken arm bone so that it could return straight to its original position.

Ignoring the man's screams, Allen's palms immediately activated his healing magic.

Within seconds, the agonizing pain completely evaporated. The man's hand recovered. His broken arm was now back to normal, as if the fracture had never happened in the first place.

This youth... not only does he possess terrifying strength, but he can also use healing magic?! the burly man thought, simultaneously amazed and horrified. He moved his hand, which no longer felt any pain. I thought I would have to retire from my profession as an adventurer because of this broken bone.

As soon as he ensured the burly man's arm was fully healed, Allen stood up. He walked calmly toward the pudgy, axe-wielding adventurer who had lost one of his arms due to Alrian's slash.

He picked up the severed arm lying on the ground, brushed off a little dust clinging to its surface, and then crouched beside the man who was wincing in pain.

Allen placed the severed arm back into position and used his healing magic. But this time, he used high-level healing magic to reattach a severed limb.

All eyes watching from the caravan queue witnessed a miracle happening right before them. In just an instant, the bone from the completely severed arm was perfectly reattached without leaving a single scar.

"W—What...?" uttered the axe-wielding man with eyes wide in shock, staring at his arm that was now reattached. "You... you can use high-level healing magic and regenerate severed limbs so easily?! W—Who are you actually?"

Allen did not answer immediately. The youth stood up. With a friendly gesture, he extended his right hand to the pudgy adventurer who was still sitting on the ground.

Without hesitation, the man accepted Allen's outstretched hand and let himself be pulled up to his feet.

"Are you asking who I am?" Allen asked to confirm.

The man nodded quickly, and Allen offered a faint smile.

"I'm Allen Vedegra, first spouse of Arvin Vedegra!" Allen answered, introducing himself in a friendly voice that was nonetheless audible to the people around him. He then gestured with one hand toward Alrian, who was standing casually nearby. "And he is Alrian Vedegra, fifth spouse of Arvin Vedegra."

Boom!

The answer that came out of Allen's mouth was like a powerful explosive magic right in the middle of the crowd.

Not only were the members of the Brutal Cutthroat party shocked upon learning the true identities of the two youths they had just threatened, but everyone in the wagon queue also felt the exact same level of astonishment.

No one there could have ever expected that the two youths they considered weak civilians were the spouses of the most feared and respected noble descendant across the entire Astoria Kingdom.

"Y-You... you are the first spouse and he is the fifth spouse of that noble family descendant?" asked the leader of the Brutal Cutthroat party with a stuttering voice.

"Yes, that's correct!" Allen replied firmly, not hiding his pride in that status at all. "What about it?"

"B-Besides you two, how many men have been married by that noble Young Master?" the man asked again, unable to contain his curiosity mixed with extreme fear.

"There are twelve of us!" Allen answered again.

The number of twelve men married to an Arvin Vedegra caused an uproar among everyone who heard it. Furthermore, the concept of a same-sex marriage with that many spouses was something they had just learned about for the very first time.

Allen, feeling that everything was settled and the day was starting to get dark, immediately turned toward Alrian, who had been standing silently in his spot all this time.

"Alrian, let's go home!" Allen said in a relaxed tone. "I'm already very tired and want to take a bath right away!"

"Okay! I feel the exact same way."

Wasting no time, Allen and Alrian immediately stepped casually, resuming their walk toward the capital's entrance gate.

Just after they had walked a few steps, Allen raised his hand without looking back.

"Never judge others purely by their outward appearances if you don't want to die like a fool in the future." Allen said as he continued his pace beside Alrian. "Hopefully, from today's incident, you all can gain a valuable experience for yourself and all of your party members, Mr. Adventurer. See you!"
