Chapter 268: Experiment
"Demon Lord, we've learned the direction the Dragon Flame Pirates are heading."
A figure wrapped in a black robe stood before Caesar, kneeling on one knee as he spoke in a cold, hollow voice.
"Where are they going?"
Caesar's scarlet eyes radiated an overwhelming pressure as he asked darkly.
"They're heading toward the Big Mom Pirates' territory."
"Hmm?"
A red glint flashed through Caesar's eyes.
"Planning to make a move on Charlotte Linlin?"
"Heh… Let's go there as well. Once they've fought each other to mutual ruin, it'll be our time to claim the throne. I just hope the Dragon Flame Pirates aren't too weak."
Soon after, the pitch-black demonic ship slowly vanished into the sea.

Dragon Flame Pirates.
"As expected, the weather in the New World is unpredictable." Jiang Qize sat at the bow on a golden sofa, looking up at the darkening clouds.
Rain had already begun to fall from the sky.
Yet not a single drop touched him. Around his body was a black aura shield about ten centimeters thick, and all the rainwater slid down along its surface.
"Haki is probably the most powerful ability in this world." Jiang Qize's hand turned black, gleaming with a metallic luster.
"Armament Haki… can it really only reach the advanced stage…?" He controlled the Armament Haki within his body, gathering it in his hand until it formed a black-gold sphere, like a dark star.
The black star emitted a faint yet sharp and heavy aura, with strands of black light swirling around it.
"Armament is a special energy generated within the body. It can be strengthened through training, enhances both attack and defense, and can seize the flowing bodies of Logia users."
He muttered to himself as the sphere of Armament Haki began shifting shapes.
"The first stage of Armament is coating. The second stage is hardening and extension. The third stage allows you to inject Armament into the enemy's body to cause massive damage. But what if you could arm the inside of your own body…"
Buzz!!
The Armament sphere in his palm suddenly burst apart, turning into black particles that scattered around him, causing the very air to fall still.
The next instant, all of the Armament surged toward him.
Buzz!!
In a flash, all of it entered his body.
"Mmgh…"
Jiang Qize's face instantly turned pale, and a trace of blood slipped from the corner of his mouth.
Black streaks flickered across his skin, even across his face—bright black-gold flashes that made him look terrifying.
"That shouldn't be… Armament is generated by the body itself. Why can't it coat the inside of the body? Are my internal organs too weak…"
Jiang Qize forced the Armament Haki back out, then retracted it again.
His body, which had been damaged to the point of breaking apart, instantly recovered.
But he refused to give up and began experimenting again.
The results, however, were far from ideal. Each time he tried to coat his internal organs with Armament Haki, they were rapidly damaged, which made him too wary to attempt coating his heart.
Two hours later.
"It still won't work. My internal organs are too weak."
Jiang Qize spat out a mouthful of blood and shook his head.
Although his healing ability and physique were strong, compared to the domineering power of Armament Haki, his body still seemed extremely fragile.
"But it's not without gains."
As his body was repeatedly destroyed and healed, it was gradually growing stronger.
At his current level, every bit of improvement was incredibly difficult—especially when it came to strengthening his internal organs.
"As long as my organs become strong enough to withstand the power of Armament Haki, I should be able to coat my entire body completely with it. Even internal shockwaves wouldn't be able to injure me."
Jiang Qize said in a low voice.
There were many strange powers in this world that could harm one from within, and he had no intention of being caught off guard by such an ability one day.
