Olvia froze for a brief moment, her eyes fixed on the Devil Fruit in Lloyd's hand. Without saying a word, she reached out, took it from him, and bit into it.
The moment the juice burst across her tongue, her face turned slightly pale. She raised her hand and wiped the purple liquid from the corner of her lips, her expression tightening as she said,
"This taste truly lives up to its reputation."
Lloyd tilted his head slightly, his tone indifferent.
"You could have swallowed it whole. The taste would not have been so intense."
Olvia gave a faint smile.
"Then you underestimate a scholar's curiosity. I am not like you. This kind of opportunity comes only once, so of course I have to experience it properly."
Lloyd's gaze remained steady.
"Sometimes, too much curiosity brings consequences."
Hearing this, Olvia fell silent. After a moment, she let out a quiet sigh.
"Yes. Ohara was destroyed because of that, and it nearly dragged even more people into ruin. My sins cannot be forgiven."
Lloyd looked at her with little change in expression.
"It is rare to hear you say that. If you had realized it earlier, things might have been different."
Olvia smiled bitterly, then took a slow breath. She lifted her head and met Lloyd's eyes directly.
"There are no what-ifs. I am deeply guilty. If not for you, I would already be dead. I would never have had the chance to watch Robin grow up. For that, I am truly grateful."
Lloyd waved his hand dismissively.
"I do not need your gratitude. How is the book progressing?"
Olvia's expression stiffened. She sighed, looking slightly exasperated.
"What a heartless man."
Then, after a brief pause, she added to herself in a quieter tone,
"Though sometimes, he still shows a trace of humanity."
Lloyd raised an eyebrow, his voice turning impatient.
"Enough. Let me see the results."
Olvia straightened and gave a proper bow.
"Understood, Saint Lloyd."
She turned and walked toward a fallen ladder nearby. As she bent to lift it, Lloyd frowned.
"What are you doing?"
Olvia set the ladder upright and replied,
"I placed the completed books up there. I cannot reach them without this."
Lloyd stared at her for a moment.
"Was the Devil Fruit I gave you fake?"
Olvia blinked, then lightly tapped her forehead.
"Oh, right. I almost forgot. I still do not know what Devil Fruit this is."
"And yet you ate it without hesitation?"
She looked at him calmly.
"You gave it to me. I would not dare refuse something from you."
Lloyd pressed his lips together, clearly unimpressed.
"Blindly consuming things will only bring harm."
Olvia frowned slightly.
"That sounded like it carried another meaning."
Lloyd shrugged casually.
"You are overthinking it. Try using your ability. It should suit you well."
Olvia nodded. Ever since she swallowed the fruit, she had felt an unfamiliar power settling within her body.
Following that instinct, she raised her hand and snapped her fingers. A series of soft popping sounds echoed as several books suddenly appeared around her. They opened and closed on their own, floating in the air like living creatures.
Pudding, who had been standing quietly at the back, could not hold back her surprise.
"The Book-Book Fruit."
Olvia turned her head slightly, repeating the name under her breath.
"The Book-Book Fruit…"
Lloyd reached out, grabbed one of the floating books, flipped through it casually, then tossed it aside. Every page inside was completely blank.
From what he could tell, this was a classic creation-type Paramecia ability.
After a short period of adjustment, Olvia guided two of the books to her feet and stepped onto them. The books lifted her effortlessly into the air.
Lloyd gave a small nod.
"Not bad. You adapted quickly."
Olvia smiled faintly as she brushed her silver hair back. Her body rose higher until she reached the top of the bookshelf.
She extended her hand and touched a thick, black-covered book. One by one, the surrounding books slid out from the shelf and descended alongside her.
The thick book floated toward Lloyd.
He glanced at it briefly, then looked at her with a faint, unreadable smile.
"How does it feel? Do you like the ability?"
Olvia's smile brightened.
"I like it very much. Thank you, Saint Lloyd."
Lloyd caught the book and held it in his hand.
"I will review it first. If I am not satisfied, I may take the Devil Fruit back."
His eyes narrowed slightly as he spoke in a quieter tone.
"The process might be… unpleasant."
Olvia placed one hand on her hip and tilted her head.
"You may do as you wish when that time comes. My life belonged to you from the start."
Whether it was resignation or confidence was unclear.
Lloyd said nothing more. He opened the book and began with the table of contents.
From his perspective, the structure resembled an annals and biographies format, mainly recording historical events.
When he reached the first section title, a faint smile appeared on his lips.
"Genesis of the Celestial Dragons."
He read through it carefully. The opening described how the original Twenty Kings defeated the lawless Joy Boy and restored order to the world.
Among them, the Figarland Family was given particular emphasis, stating that its leader delivered the decisive blow to Joy Boy.
From this section alone, Lloyd found the work satisfactory.
However, the book was far too thick to read in one sitting. After finishing the first section, he flipped directly to the end.
What he saw made him pause.
His own name was written clearly on the page.
"King Lloyd."
Olvia noticed the shift in his expression and leaned closer, glancing at the contents.
Lloyd lowered his gaze slightly.
"Why include me? And why assign me the title of King?"
Olvia looked up at him seriously.
"Is there an issue? In the current world, only you deserve that title. This is a conclusion I reached through thorough analysis."
She continued without hesitation.
"You intend to spread this book across the world, do you not? Almost no one remains unaware of your name. If you are absent from its pages, the book's credibility will suffer."
After speaking, she straightened and stretched her neck slightly.
"This book does not yet have a title. I have been waiting for you to name it."
Lloyd only needed a moment to decide.
"Genesis of the Celestial Dragons."
