Chapter 70 - CHAPTER 70

After Rimo reflected Jack's attack back, he stepped over the corpses scattered across the ground and approached the main gate of Evans Manor in just a few strides.

[Bombing Space]!

His right hand slashed forward, and the space around his blade warped violently. The iron gate groaned under the pressure and split open with a clean, gaping wound.

Stepping through the gap, Rimo's eyes fell on five men standing in formation within the manor. Their stances were tense, alert, and coordinated; the aura of Nen emanated faintly but unmistakably from each of them. Clearly, these were the remaining members of Adam's mercenary unit.

Hmmm… a bald, tattooed man; a cataract; a long-haired nonconformist; a glasses-wearing man; and a black-haired young Zhengtai. Rimo briefly scanned them, mentally labeling each for future reference.

"In addition to reflection abilities, there's also corrosive or melting powers at play?" Rimo noted, and the thought flickered across the minds of all six, synced unconsciously by Adam's [Missing Wave – Five Senses Sharing] Nen.

From his entrance, they could already deduce that Rimo's Nen was both offensive and defensive. He wasn't simply bouncing attacks—there was also a psychic-infused destructive power manifested through his hands. These dual abilities were formidable, capable of overwhelming even experienced Nen users.

The bald tattooed man made the first move, stepping forward with a massive sledgehammer, silent but deadly. Simultaneously, the glasses man materialized two pistols in his hands, firing precise Bang-Bang! volleys, while the long-haired nonconformist charged, his aura sharp and focused like blades—[Enhancement], [Transformation], and [Embody] activated simultaneously.

Rimo assessed their intent. Coupled with the cataract's monitoring of the battlefield via Nen-manipulated insects, their team composition was clear: the bald man for heavy melee, long-haired for close-quarters Nen combat, glasses man for ranged attack manipulation, and cataract as recon and auxiliary intelligence. The black-haired Zhengtai had yet to act, leaving Rimo curious about her specialty.

Instead of panicking, Rimo smirked.

"Don't you mean to communicate first?" he said lightly.

He made no move to dodge. Instead, he activated [Unlimited Spell]. Instantly, the melee strike, the bullets, and the Nen-infused blades were all held suspended midair.

"360-degree defense with no blind spots. As expected," Rimo murmured, noting the team's tactical retreat. The bald tattooed man released his hammer, while the long-haired fighter dispersed his condensed aura into the air. They were testing limits, cautious but confident in their coordination.

Rimo redirected the two suspended bullets, sending them toward the bald man and the long-haired fighter. They did not flinch; the bullets altered course mid-air, returning toward Rimo in a second test of his defenses. The glasses man's Nen-enhanced firearms allowed complete trajectory control, effectively circumventing traditional redirection.

"Interesting," Rimo said, narrowing his eyes. "A bullet that can bend freely… quite fascinating."

He deactivated [Unlimited Spell] and condensed [Bombing Space] in his right hand. The returning bullets were about to meet their match. Spatial manipulation was his strength, but maintaining multiple Nen techniques simultaneously exceeded his current understanding of space. He could handle only one at a time; a deeper mastery of [Space] would allow more flexibility in the future.

The black-haired Zhengtai observed Rimo carefully. Sensing an imminent offensive action, she gathered her aura, a sharp column of Nen force emanating from her palms and striking forward like a concentrated spear.

"Excellent analysis," Rimo said, a faint smile of approval flickering across his features. He recognized both her skill and Adam's strategic design: all their actions were premeditated, coordinated, and informed by the five-senses sharing. Yet, he remained unfazed.

With his right hand, Rimo severed the redirected bullets. With his left, he unleashed a strike toward the black-haired Zhengtai. [Bombing Space] warped reality itself—space collapsed violently around his strike, and in an instant, Rimo appeared directly in front of her, faster than their shared sensory network could process.

The effect was devastating. The black-haired Zhengtai's skull collapsed into the warped void, her body shredded by the destruction of space itself. Blood gushed across the floor. Even under Adam's [Missing Wave – Five Senses Sharing], the team could sense Rimo's sheer presence, the crushing weight of his Nen, and the inevitability of death.

Rimo's eyes, previously filled with calm calculation, now radiated a detached admiration—he looked at her as one might regard a fallen obstacle, neither cruel nor emotional, simply acknowledging her skill before it was obliterated.

"Not bad… but just not enough," he said softly, voice cutting through the oppressive aura like a knife.

Adam, hidden in the shadows, monitored every movement. He understood the principle: raw strength has limits, but strategy, coordination, and the application of collective intelligence could overcome individual power. He knew the team's specialties—each operative had contributed to countless victories—but Rimo was beyond his expectations.

"Monster…" Adam whispered mentally, awe and terror mixing in his voice.

Even with five-senses sharing, the team could only react, never fully counteract. Each attack they attempted was either neutralized or turned against them with surgical precision. Adam's Nen expertise, strategic insight, and their collective coordination were formidable—but the individual Rimo combined spatial manipulation, redirection, and offensive destruction in a way that rendered their tactical advantage nearly irrelevant.

He wasn't just a Nen user—he was a phenomenon, bending the battlefield itself to his will. Adam realized that wisdom, anticipation, and the nuanced use of Nen could accomplish what raw power alone could not—but even all of that combined could falter against Rimo's overwhelming ability to control space and force.

The five operatives of Adam's mercenary team, coordinated and enhanced by [Missing Wave – Five Senses Sharing], were exceptional by any measure. Yet Rimo's precise application of [Bombing Space], [Unlimited Spell], and his spatial mastery meant that their coordination could not save them. One by one, the illusions of invincibility, the shared senses, and calculated strategies were being dismantled.

The black-haired Zhengtai, crushed in an instant, was only the beginning. Rimo's presence distorted the battlefield, forcing Adam to confront a terrifying reality: even perfect coordination could fail when facing an opponent who redefined the limits of both offense and defense.

"Monster…" Adam repeated, the word resonating across the shared Nen network, spreading fear and disbelief. His mind raced for alternatives, for weaknesses, for any flaw in Rimo's technique. But the truth was undeniable: he was facing an entity whose control of Nen, space, and perception exceeded anything he had ever imagined.
