The words appeared loudly in front of Kael's vision, the system message came with a absolute authority.
For a brief moment time itself felt like it had paused.
Kael stood frozen.
His aura which had been raging violently just moments ago flickered right now from unstable, chaotic till on the verge of breaking everything around him.
"…What… is this?" Kael muttered under his breath.
Veyron didn't respond Because even he was watching closely.
Rodric's body lying motionless at the center of the shattered throne room began to emit a faint glow.
At first, it was barely visible then a soft shine like light reflecting off polished metal.
But then the light grew stronger, brighter and warmer.
Kael's breathing slowed.
His clenched fists loosened slightly.

There was no response, but the light did not fade.
Instead, it intensified to every corner of the court room.
The glow spread across Rodric's entire body. Every wound, every burn, every fracture was covered.
Then slowly they began to heal. The light did not in a rushed or in a chaotic manner, but in a controlled almost in a sacred rhythm.
Shen Yao's eyes narrowed.

Kael did listen to all the conversations of his master and Veyron even he thought the same thing, but he didn't move and didn't speak a word, he was just watching every detail, every change.
Rodric's shattered armour began to dissolve into particles of light, but the armour was not breaking it was transforming, reforming.
His body lifted slightly off the ground and it started to float and it suspended in the center of the room.
The air around Rodric changed, the pressure around him shifted.
But unlike Veyron's evolution which had been cold, dark, overwhelming.
This was different. It was calm but powerful. Felt gentle.
Then something began to form behind Rodric.
At first, it looked like light was gathering behind Rodric which was getting condensed and shape which was not recognizable at the first glance and then the shapes turned into wings.
The wings behind Rodric turned massive, it was perfectly structured.
Like how everyone thought these wings belonged to an angel but the feathers which is there in the wings was not the feathers which is like from an angel or a bird.
The wings were formed from something else, something that looked like solidified light.
Each segment of the feathers was layered like forged plates which was sharp, refined and unbreakable.
Shen Yao took a step forward unconsciously.

The wings expanded fully and behind there were only one pair of wings and each wing covered at least half of the room and it Stretched outward filling the broken throne room with radiant brilliance.
The light didn't blind and it didn't hurt. But the light emerged from the Rodric it needed attention and demanded recognition.
Rodric's body slowly lowered back to the ground. The light which was shined brightly now began to dim down and started to settle around.
The wings folded behind him, but it remained attached to his back, and it did not seem to fade not disappear, it remained real and permanent to Rodrics like an angel
Then his fingers moved slightly.
Kael stepped forward instantly.

Rodric's eyes opened, for a moment his eyes glowed which was bright and golden and then slowly it turned normal, but still his eyes had the white silver glow.

He looked at his hands he turned them slightly, clenched them and then he slowly stood up
Silence filled the room and no one spoke.
Because no one fully understood what they were seeing.
Rodric looked around slowly. At the destroyed throne room. At the stunned soldiers. At Veyron and finally at Kael.

His voice was steady but quieter than usual. As if even he was still processing.
Kael stepped closer and straight went to hug Rodric.
"…I'm sorry I'm very sorry I couldn't save you, even I have such unfathomable power within me I couldn't save you."
Rodric gave a faint breath.
