Chapter 133 - Chapter 133: The Princess Who Changed

Chapter 133: The Princess Who Changed

"Swoosh!"

Although the man's hand was also made of metal, it was merely common alloy, no match for Mason's specially crafted gauntlets. Mason easily pierced through it,

and the blade fell from his hand.

But the man wasn't finished; he reached out with his other hand to catch the falling blade, but Mason wouldn't let him succeed.

"You're asking for it!"

Since the man wasn't Barnes, Mason no longer held back. The instant the man caught the blade in mid-air, Mason reached out and grabbed his wrist, plunging the blade into his chest!

"Thud!"

The sharp blade pierced through clothing, skin, and muscle, blood spurting from the wound. The man still tried to retaliate, but his strength was significantly weaker.

Mason pulled the blade out and stabbed three more times in vital areas. The man weakly reached out and gripped Mason's wrist, seemingly trying to pull the blade out of his chest, but he couldn't manage it no matter how hard he tried.

The light in his eyes gradually dimmed, the cold emptiness faded, and in the face of death, awareness seemed to return to this body.

A trace of relief appeared on his face, and he looked at Mason and uttered a barely audible "Thank you."

Thump!

The man's body fell to the ground, quickly staining a large area red.

Mason let out a breath, feeling slightly frustrated. He had thought he would find Barnes soon, but unexpectedly, things had changed at the last moment.

Princess Nuala ran into the bedroom and wrapped the elven woman's body in fabric. Her movements were gentle, her expression solemn, and she seemed to be murmuring something.

"Please accept my condolences,"

Mason said softly, unsure of what else to say. After a moment's thought, he continued.

"It seems we're on the right track. I think our most urgent task is to find Issa Gregory's true hiding place."

"The sooner we find his base, the more people we can save."

Princess Nuala held the female corpse in her arms, wiping away her tears, her eyes flashing with emotion.

"Kaletta was one of the few elves born in the last three centuries. She was gentle and peace-loving, fond of wandering and experiencing the world's wonders." A trace of reminiscence appeared in Princess Nuala's eyes.

"In recent years, fewer and fewer elves have been born, and our race's population is declining rapidly. We were prepared to slowly fade into history. But why? Why do you humans have to exterminate us?!"

She looked up, seemingly questioning Mason, or perhaps the world itself.

Mason keenly noticed that, compared to the film, Princess Nuala harbored a resentment towards humanity that wasn't there before.

Although the princess in the movie seemed to live a somewhat isolated life, always hiding in the shadows, her status meant that bloodshed and slaughter were destined to remain distant from her. Even hearing about the brutality inflicted on her people didn't resonate with her as deeply as witnessing it firsthand.

This is a major reason why she consistently opposed Prince Nuada's use of the Golden Army to retaliate against humanity.

It's unknown which side Princess Nuala would choose this time, given the choice.

Mason extended his hand. "Regardless of what others do, at least not me."

"In my eyes, you are you, whether you are human or elf has nothing to do with it."

Nuala was slightly taken aback. Mason had only said something perfectly ordinary, yet it made her heart race. She felt as if he was implying something deeper.

In her long life, she had never encountered such a situation. Her abilities meant that most people had no secrets from her.

Ugly and beautiful, all exposed before her, everyone lost their mystery to her.

But in fact, attraction often begins with mutual curiosity.

Being with Mason gave her a novel experience she had never had before, a feeling that was intoxicating and irresistible, making her want to explore further.

She shook her head slightly, trying to banish the thought, but somehow, that curiosity seemed to have taken root in her heart.

"Crack!"

Just then, Ivanovich, who had just been knocked unconscious by Mason, woke up, bumping into nearby debris and making a sound.

"Agent One!"

Agent One strode over to Ivanovich, grabbed him by the neck, and lifted him high.

"Who are you?"

"Who sent you? I am General Ivanovich. Whatever they're paying, I'm willing to pay double!"

"No, triple!"

Although terrified, Ivanovich still tried to remain calm, desperately searching for a chance to survive.

"Tell me where Issa Gregory is?" Mason asked coldly.

"Issa?"

"I've never heard of him. Are you sure you've got the right person?" Ivanovich's eyes flickered slightly, his expression unchanged.

"Hmph!"

Mason sneered.

"Nail him to the wall!"

Hearing Mason's command, Agent One picked up a broken metal shard from the ground without hesitation. With a few sharp cracks, he pierced Ivanovich's hands and ankles, pinning him to the wall!

"Ah...ah, let me go! I don't know what you're talking about!" Ivanovich's obese body quickly had his wounds torn wider by his weight, and he screamed in agony.

Even so, Ivanovich gritted his teeth, refusing to divulge any information.

"Princess Nuala, it's up to you."

Princess Nuala stepped forward, extending a finger and gently touching Ivanovich's forehead.

In fact, Princess Nuala's abilities under normal circumstances only allowed her to sense others' emotions; she couldn't read their memories.

However, if someone was on the verge of emotional collapse, their psychological defenses significantly weakened, and with proper guidance and questioning,

a great deal of information could be extracted from their mind. This was why Mason tortured Ivanovich.

After a long while, Princess Nuala's face grew increasingly pale, sweat streamed down her face, and she was on the verge of collapse.

"Found it!"

Princess Nuala let out a long breath. "Sebastian Boulevard 16!" Princess Nuala whispered an address. Hearing this, Ivanovich's eyes widened in horror as he stared at Princess Nuala.

"Devil, you devil!"

Mason chuckled.

"Looks like you're useless now."

"Can you hand him over to me?" Princess Nuala asked, a dangerous glint in her eyes. "Give me three minutes!"

Mason hesitated for a moment, then respected her decision. If Nuala's rage wasn't vented now, it could have even worse consequences.

"We'll wait for you outside!"

With that, he led Agent One out of the bedroom. The door closed tightly, and Ivanovich's shrill screams echoed from within.

A minute later, Princess Nuala returned to the vehicle, carrying the elven corpse.

Mason didn't hesitate any longer. He checked the map and headed straight for Sebastian Boulevard 16.

That was Issa Gregory's secret laboratory.
