Unknown POV * Prior to the Rogue Attack and start of this story *
For years I have sat and watched that poor excuse of an Alpha run our pack. He thinks he is so untouchable, with his perfect Luna, perfect family, perfect heirs. Soon Alpha Percy will realize he isn't untouchable after all. I will make sure of that.
The council won't back me, they believe Percy is a respectable Alpha, believe that he treats his people fairly, the way the goddess intended it to be. However that is what makes him a weak Alpha. The lower ranks should be worshipping at our feet, not seen as equal contributors. The omegas should be at our beck and call, doing whatever we want whenever we want. They are dirt beneath our feet and should be treated as such.
When I finally take over, I will make sure the omegas know their place in the hierarchy. They will no longer get paid, no longer be allowed to mingle with their superiors. No longer be allowed to come up in rank by mate bonds. They will be brought back to their original purpose, made slaves. I will also bring in concubines for the high-ranked males, they will be treated well, just below a mate, the way mistresses should be treated. They will be the few respected females we will have in a pack. I don't care what anyone says, we shouldn't have to have one female for the rest of our lives and there are plenty of she-wolves that just want status so it will be perfect. Plus what if whoever the damn goddess pairs us with can't give proper heirs, we need all the advantages we can get. I will bring this pack to its original glory, before the Elders and Alpha's of the past decided that all wolves should be treated equally. We have hierarchy for a reason and that means there is no such thing as equality in a pack. I will be the start of a new superior pack, once the other packs see how well my plan will work they will all want to become a part of it. Then I can become King of the wolves, to truly rule as I was destined.

"How are the preparations going for the attack?"
"Perfect sir, we will be ready in two days time."
"Excellent, make sure you wait for my signal. My mate and I must be out of the pack to ensure they believe I am innocent in this."
"Sir wouldn't being out of the pack when the attack happens make you more suspicious?"
"Usually yes, but having a solid alibi and reason for not being on pack lands will solidify my 'innocence' You see my mate's sister is having her first pup and it is normal for families to come visit and celebrate this joyous occasion, it is why I have planned for this attack now. Besides the fact that the Alpha heirs are all too young to gain their wolves or to take over, it is only natural that they will perish along with their parents, thus the elders having no choice to appoint a new Alpha and who better than me?"
"How could you have planned that your mate's sister were to have a pup to insure your alibi?"
"Well my dear friend, I implanted the idea in my brother in law's head that if he didn't get his mate pregnant with his pup soon that she was going to reject him for a more capable mate since 'other she-wolves were in her head to convince her that if her mate didn't want to gove her pups right away then he didn't actually want her and she should go for someone better' The lie worked like a charm and he was begging me for help. So with the work of my witch we gave her a tonic to force her into heat. Let's just say that it worked wonders and helped me put the pieces exactly where I wanted them to be."
"Wow, you really are diabolical, but in a good way."
"I know."

A few days later my mate and I are were in her sister's pack during the attack on ours. Percy and Mari fought with all their might from what I heard. Percy died in battle and Mari was badly injured and got away but with her mate and pups dead she wouldn't last long anyways. The pack lost a lot of good warriors but they were all loyal to Percy so no real loss there for me. Most of the women and children survived thanks to Mari putting them into the safe house but with how submissive they are they will fall in line quickly. Most of the surviving wolves are either on my side or too weak to fight the new orders I will give once I am Alpha.
The next moves I will make will be to cut all alliances that Percy has made and form new ones with like minded Alpha's. Once that happens I will begin to make the changes necessary to bring order to my pack.
