The morning sun broke over the horizon, casting a warm, golden radiance across the wooden rooftops and bustling streets of the Hidden Leaf Village.
High above the village, within the spacious, paper-littered executive suite of the Hokage's office, the atmosphere was thick with the scent of dried ink, old parchment, and freshly brewed green tea. Tsunade Senju, the Fifth Hokage, sat behind her massive mahogany desk, her pale hands resting atop a stack of unfinished reports. Her hazel eyes were sharp, yet shadowed with subtle exhaustion as she stared across the room.
Standing in the center of the office, bathed in the early morning light stream, was Naruto Uzumaki.
Having finally returned from his intensive month-long excursion to the secluded realm of Mount Myōboku, Naruto looked strikingly different. He wore his black and orange shinobi attire, but his frame was subtly denser, his posture carrying an unshakeable, silent gravity. His blue eyes, usually burning with erratic energy, were calm, sharp, and intensely focused.
"Well, Auntie," Naruto spoke, his tone casual yet carrying a quiet, underlying weight as he broke the silence. "I'm back."
Tsunade leaned back against her leather chair, letting out a long, slow breath as she critically appraised the young man before her. "Well... I can certainly see that, brat," she began, a faint, proud smirk tugging at the edge of her lips. "And congratulations on mastering Sage Mode as well as the Nine-Tails' chakra. You managed to accomplish all of that in a single month? That's quite an unbelievable feat, Naruto."
"Yeah, well," Naruto replied, tossing his head back with a brief grin. "I had to do it, didn't I? After I told you I was going to complete it before I left, there wasn't really any turning back."
"That you did," Tsunade acknowledged, her expression growing remarkably earnest. "You mastered Sage Mode, and at such a young age. In fact, I doubt there has ever been a shinobi in history who has achieved a complete, perfected Sage transformation as young as you are."
"Yeah, yeah, sure, sure," Naruto waved a dismissive hand, though his eyes gleamed with quiet pride. Pulling out a heavy wooden chair from the corner of the room, he spun it around and sat down, resting his forearms casually across the backrest. "So, what's been going on around here while I was away? My clone already transferred the memory report of the assignment you handed him, and I've already dispatched another clone to handle the follow-up. Is there anything extra you need me for?"
Tsunade's relaxed posture instantly vanished. Her jaw tightened, and her hazel eyes darkened with an ominous shade of annoyance.
"Well, I certainly didn't plan on adding this to your plate the moment you stepped back into the village," Tsunade sighed, lacing her fingers together over her desk. "But I think you need to take a trip down to the Intelligence and Interrogation Division."
Naruto raised a single, inquiring eyebrow, his posture straightening slightly. "Why's that? Are Ibiki and the others having trouble with something?"
"The problem, essentially," Tsunade said grimly, "is the Uchiha."
Naruto's face instantly cold-shifted, his eyes narrowing into sharp slits. The casual warmth in the room vanished, replaced by a sudden, oppressive chill.
"What can that guy possibly be a problem for?" Naruto spat out, his voice dripping with sheer disdain. "If he's creating trouble, just order the Yamanaka clan to rip his mind open, tear out the information from his memory vaults, and leave him as a vegetable. Honestly, Auntie, we don't even need him anymore."
Tsunade let out a dry, frustrated chuckle, rubbing her temples. "I wish it were that easy, Naruto. But his mind is a chaotic mess right now. He's resisting the mind-walk techniques with insane volatility. Ino attempted a deep dive into his consciousness earlier, but every time she tries to link with his core memories, your name pops up like a barrier."
"My name?" Naruto scoffed, his brows furrowing in genuine irritation. "For what?! I never fucking—I only spoke with him in passing and spent time in the same room back during our Academy days and early squad missions. I don't hold any of his secrets, so why the hell is he bringing my name into every mental layer?"
"That is precisely what I want to find out," Tsunade said, standing up from her desk and smoothing down her green haori. "And that is why you and I are heading down to the Interrogation Division right now."
Naruto stood up, his jaw set as he turned his back and walked toward the sliding wooden door. He paused at the threshold, glancing back over his shoulder with an icy glare.
"Are you sure you want to do this, Auntie?" Naruto asked, his voice dropping an octave into a low, threatening register. "Because if he opens his mouth and starts running his tongue about something stupid, I'm not sure I'll be able to hold back. And this time, I will kill him permanently."
Tsunade looked at him, her gaze unflinching. "I am well aware of the consequences, Naruto. But I still need you to restrain yourself to a degree. I don't want you outright killing him just yet. We still have several high-level secrets regarding Orochimaru and the Akatsuki that we need to wring out of his head."
"What is this secret really even about?" Naruto grumbled as he pushed the door open and stepped out into the hallway.
Deep inside his mindscape, the giant nine-tailed demon fox shifted its massive weight, its red slitted eyes opening in amusement.
'Just bear with it, brat,' Kurama snickered dryly. 'Besides, you basically just got implicit permission to mess him up if he steps out of line.'
'Well, I didn't get explicit permission to torture him,' Naruto countered mentally as he descended the stone stairs of the Hokage building.
'Sure you did,' Kurama purred with dark glee. 'Tsunade merely told you to hold back and not outright kill him. She didn't say anything about leaving him intact. So go ahead—let the bastard talk.'
'Heh. Thanks for the encouragement, sis Kurama,' Naruto thought back with a grim smirk.
Stepping out into the bright sunlight, Naruto blurred into a high-speed Body Flicker, vanishing in a swirl of golden leaves. Within seconds, he materialized silently outside the subterranean, heavily fortified entrance of the Konoha Intelligence and Interrogation Division.
He pushed through the heavy wooden doors and walked down the cold, torch-lit stone corridor. Upon entering the main reception lobby, he spotted Ino Yamanaka sitting behind the front desk, while Hinata Hyūga stood beside her, clad in her purple jacket and dark pants, engaged in a quiet conversation.
"Hey, you two," Naruto called out, his tone instantly softening. "What's up?"
Both girls turned. Ino, dressed in her sleeveless purple mesh outfit, gasped slightly, while Hinata's lavender eyes widened in instant recognition, a sudden spark of warmth illuminating her pale face.
"Oh! Hey, Naruto!" Ino exclaimed, leaning over the wooden desk. "You're finally back?!"
"Yeah, finally back from the toad realm," Naruto grinned, crossing his arms over his chest with a theatrical flex. "You're looking at the newest Sage, and officially the youngest shinobi in history to ever master Sage Mode."
"Really?!" Ino's jaw dropped in genuine astonishment.
Hinata quickly brought her hands up to cover her mouth, her eyes sparkling with unhidden admiration. "That's... that's incredible, Naruto-kun!"
Both girls immediately leaned in, their curiosity piqued as they began bombarding him with rapid-fire questions.
"So what can this Sage Mode actually do, huh?!" Ino asked excitedly. "Are you way stronger now? Can you control nature elements like a god or bend the landscape around you?!"
"Whoa, whoa, slow down!" Naruto laughed, holding his hands up defensively. "To answer your questions—yeah, I'm exponentially stronger than before. My Taijutsu, physical speed, and sensory perception are way beyond anything I had before, and my elemental manipulation is far more refined. But no, Ino, I can't just 'bend' the earth and sky at will like a god. I still have a ways to go for that."
"Aww," Ino pouted playfully, though her eyes were still wide with respect.
After exchanging a few more minutes of casual banter, Ino tilted her head, her expression shifting to one of business. "So, Naruto... what actually brings you down to the dark basement of the Intelligence Division?"
Naruto's grin instantly faded, replaced by an annoyed sigh. "Nothing good. Auntie Tsunade wants me to clear the air regarding a certain cockroach who won't stop dragging my name through the mud during his interrogations."
Ino let out a long, dramatic groaning tone. "Ugh, don't even remind me. He's created such a massive, annoying headache for our department."
"Yeah, well, leave him be for a second," Naruto said, taking a step toward the inner holding cells before suddenly stopping and pivoting back around. "Actually... how about we have some tea first? I'd rather talk with you guys a bit more before my mood gets completely ruined by that idiot."
Ino quickly motioned for a lower-ranking Yamanaka operative to cover the front desk, leading Naruto and Hinata back into her private, carpeted office.
Inside, over steaming cups of green tea, Naruto detailed his grueling experience on Mount Myōboku. He painted a vivid picture of the toad realm—describing the towering, oil-seeping toadstools, the pristine mountain air, and the terrifying nature of natural energy.
"Honestly, you two would have loved the scenery," Naruto admitted, taking a bite out of a butter cookie and chewing thoroughly before swallowing. "But the training itself? Absolute torture. It was basically extreme sitting meditation. I had to sit completely motionless for hours, gathering natural energy directly from the air. And if I absorbed even a fraction too much, I risked permanently turning into a literal stone toad statue."
Ino shuddered at the visual, while Hinata listened with rapt attention, her knuckles white as she squeezed her teacup.
"The first two weeks were just me sitting there, fighting my own mind," Naruto continued. "By the third week, I finally got the hang of the balance. And by the fourth week, I was integrating Sage Mode into my full Taijutsu and Ninjutsu routines."
He intentionally left out the part about the Secret Oil Pond where beginners were forced to balance on razor-thin stone pillars.
"Anyway, enough about me," Naruto pivoted, leaning back. "How's your training been going?"
"It's been great!" Ino beamed, gesturing toward Hinata. "Hinata and I have been sparring way more than before! She's learned a bunch of new defensive techniques, and my own Taijutsu has improved immensely thanks to her pushing me."
"Ah... you're going to make me blush, Ino-chan," Hinata mumbled, her cheeks turning a delicate shade of pink. "But you helped me just as much. Thanks to you, my close-quarters endurance has leveled up."
"And Shizune-san and my dad's clan elders have been helping us expand our Ninjutsu arsenals," Ino added. "Plus, Lady Tsunade put us on rotation at the Leaf Hospital! Shizune-san is teaching us advanced medical Ninjutsu application."
"What about Tenten?" Naruto asked.
"Oh, Tenten's a beast now," Ino chuckled. "Her Taijutsu was already top-tier, but now she's integrated sealing scrolls directly into her hand-to-hand flow."
An hour passed in comfortable warmth before Naruto finally placed his empty teacup down on the saucer and stood up.
"Well, as much as I'd love to stay here," Naruto said, his expression darkening into stone, "it's time I go ruin my mood."
Ino and Hinata exchanged a look before standing up alongside him. "How about we tag along?" Ino offered. "We're assigned to his case file anyway."
"Sure," Naruto agreed.
Led by Naruto, the trio walked down into the deepest, most secure subterranean block of the Interrogation Division. They passed through heavy chakra-suppression seals until they reached the observation deck behind a one-way reinforced glass mirror.
Inside the stark, dimly lit interrogation room, Sasuke Uchiha was bound securely to a reinforced iron chair. Heavy chakra-draining cuffs clamped his wrists and ankles to the metal frame. His face was bruised, his dark hair matted with dried blood, and his clothes were torn—clear evidence of the harsh physical interrogation methods already employed by Ibiki's team. Yet despite the physical toll, his dark eyes burned with an unhinged, wildly unstable glare.
Naruto picked up the clipboard sitting on the observation desk, scanning the official psychological assessment form prepared by the Yamanaka department.
List of Diagnosed Psychological Conditions: Severe Narcissistic Personality Disorder, Extreme Maladaptive Psychopathy, Homicidal Ideation, Severe Reality Detachment, Delusional Grandeur.
"What a joke," Naruto muttered under his breath, tossing the clipboard onto the table. "Why isn't this bastard just dead already?"
Naruto reached out and slapped his palm onto the intercom button, revealing their presence to the prisoner inside.
The moment the glass illuminated and Sasuke caught sight of Naruto's face standing behind the pane, the bound Uchiha lost all semblance of composure. He violently thrashing against his heavy iron restraints, his chains rattling deafeningly against the stone floor like a rabid beast.
"NARUTO!" Sasuke screamed, his voice hoarse, blood spraying from his cracked lips. "YOU! THIS IS ALL BECAUSE OF YOU! Because of you, I couldn't avenge my clan! How dare a worthless, talentless, dead-last nobody like you interfere with my destiny?!"
Sasuke leaned forward as far as his chains allowed, his dark eyes bloodshot with wild, unbridled fury. "You have no idea what I've had to suffer! You know nothing!"
Naruto stared through the glass, his expression deadpan, completely unbothered by the outburst.
"First of all, you're a moron, Sasuke," Naruto stated coldly into the microphone. "And second of all, if you hadn't betrayed Konoha to run to a pedophilic snake, you wouldn't be sitting in that chair bleeding out right now. So stop trying to frame your own failures on my head. Whatever is happening to you right now is entirely your own doing. You should have thought about the consequences before you turned traitor."
"I DON'T NEED TO THINK ABOUT CONSEQUENCES, YOU DOPE!" Sasuke shrieked, his voice cracking with insane arrogance. "I AM AN UCHIHA! The world bows to my bloodline! The village owes us! They owe me! My clan owns this entire world!"
"You own nothing, Sasuke," Naruto replied calmly. "You are nothing."
"Just wait!" Sasuke spat, a sickening, unhinged grin spreading across his bloody face. "Once I break out of these pathetic chains—and I WILL break out—you are the very first person I'm coming for! I am going to strap you into this exact same chair! I will rip apart every single person you have ever cared about right in front of your eyes!"
Sasuke's crazed eyes flicked past Naruto, locking onto Ino and Hinata standing behind him.
"And those two bitches standing next to you?" Sasuke sneered, his laughter rising in pitch. "They're going to become my personal concubines! They will be forced to bear the next generation of pure-blooded Uchiha elites whether they like it or not!"
Ino's jaw clenched in absolute disgust, while Hinata's lavender eyes narrowed, her fists clenching so hard her fingernails bit into her palms.
"No... wait! I have an even better idea!" Sasuke cackled, his mind completely unspooling into full-blown madness. "Once I break free, I'm going to use Reanimation no jutsu to drag your dead mother's soul back from the afterlife! I'll make her my primary concubine and my absolute slave! And that pathetic female Hokage you call an aunt? I'll break her too! They will both serve the Uchiha revival, and I will rule this village with an iron fist! Just you wait, Naruto! JUST YOU WAIT!"
Silence fell over the observation deck.
Ino looked horrified. Hinata was trembling with suppressed rage.
Naruto didn't say a word. He slowly released the intercom button. His eyes were completely devoid of emotion—cold, hollow, and darker than the abyss.
Without warning, Naruto turned, unlatched the heavy reinforced steel door leading into the cell, and stepped inside.
Sasuke's mad laughter cut short as the door slammed shut behind Naruto. The room was deathly quiet.
Before Sasuke could even process what was happening, Naruto didn't bother speaking. He casually reached down and flicked the release latch on Sasuke's primary chakra restraints. The heavy iron bands snapped open, dropping to the floor with a loud CLANG.
Sasuke's eyes widened in brief shock—
CRACK!
Naruto moved like a phantom. In a fraction of a millisecond, his bare hand grabbed Sasuke by the back of his hair, slamming his face straight down into Naruto's rising knee with bone-shattering force. Sasuke's nose instantly detonated, blood and cartilage spraying across the concrete floor.
Before Sasuke could even scream, Naruto released his hair, cocked his right fist back, and delivered a devastating, raw physical strike directly to the side of Sasuke's jaw.
BOOM!
The pure kinetic impact launched Sasuke's entire body across the room. He slammed into the reinforced stone wall like a ragdoll, cracking the masonry before sliding down into a pathetic heap on the floor.
Naruto closed the distance instantly. Appearing directly over Sasuke's crumpled form, he slammed a heavy kick straight into his ribs, embedding Sasuke deeper into the shattered stone wall.
"Gah... huff...!" Sasuke coughed up mouthfuls of crimson, his vision swimming, his body broken. Like a blind, desperate drunkard, he tried to raise a trembling arm to channel chakra—
Naruto's heavy sandal came down directly onto Sasuke's skull, pinning his head flat against the cold stone floor.
"You should really think before you open your filthy mouth, insect," Naruto said softly, his voice echoing in the small room like a death knell.
Naruto lifted his foot and slammed it down onto Sasuke's head again.
THUD!
Sasuke groaned weakly, his fingers twitching in the pool of his own blood. Naruto grabbed Sasuke by his collar, yanked him up, and threw a brutal leg-sweep that flipped him onto his back.
Stepping forward, Naruto placed his heavy boot directly onto Sasuke's shattered nose and forehead, putting his massive physical weight down until Sasuke's skull gave off terrifying, micro-fracturing sounds.
"You've got quite the guts," Naruto whispered, leaning down, his blue eyes glowing with a terrifying, golden Sage aura. "Saying you'll make my mother your concubine. Saying you'll take my aunt and the people I love. How the fuck did you think this was going to end for you, Sasuke? Nobody... nobody in Konoha is going to save you from me."
Naruto lifted his foot and began ruthlessly driving heavy kicks into Sasuke's stomach, ribs, and shoulders, beating him into a bloody pulp.
The door to the interrogation cell burst open. Ino and Hinata rushed in, their hands grabbing Naruto's arms and shoulders to pull him back.
"Naruto! Stop!" Ino yelled, her voice trembling as she held onto his arm. "You're going to kill him! That wasn't the mission!"
"Then what the fuck do you want me to do with him, Ino?!" Naruto snarled, turning his head, his face a mask of absolute fury. "This bastard just explicitly threatened my mother, my family, and both of you! How the fuck am I supposed to let him walk away from that?!"
"Trust me, I am just as furious as you are!" Ino pleaded, her grip tightening on his jacket. "I want him destroyed just as much as you do! But you can't kill him right now, Naruto! Lady Tsunade's orders!"
Hinata pulled on his other side, her hands firm against his chest. "Naruto-kun... please. Don't ruin your life for him."
Naruto took a deep, shuddering breath, suppressing the burning golden chakra flaring around his body. The sound of Sasuke coughing weakly and wheezing on the floor filled the room.
"Fine," Naruto said coldly. "I won't kill him."
Ino and Hinata slowly relaxed their grip, breathing a sigh of relief—
"But I'm going to make sure he can never be a man again," Naruto added in an eerie, flat tone.
Before either girl could react, Naruto reached over to the interrogation tool tray mounted on the wall, snatching up a jagged, rusted torture kunai. He blurred forward.
THWACK!
Naruto brutally slammed the rusted blade straight down into Sasuke's crotch, pinning him directly to the concrete floor.
An ear-splitting, blood-curdling scream erupted from Sasuke's throat—a screech so raw and agonizing that it echoed throughout the entire subterranean complex of the Interrogation Division.
Naruto didn't blink. He placed the heavy heel of his boot onto the handle of the embedded rusted kunai and began slowly, deliberately pushing it deeper, grinding the jagged metal into the bone beneath.
"This is what you deserve," Naruto whispered coldly as Sasuke's eyes rolled back into his head, tears and blood mixing on his face. "You should have thought long and hard before you ever opened your mouth about my family, Uchiha Sasuke."
With one final, thunderous stomp, Naruto shattered the blade fully through, obliterating the pelvic structure beneath. Simultaneously, Naruto funneled a precise burst of high-voltage Lightning-attribute chakra through his boot directly into the weapon.
BRRRZZZZTTT!
A sharp, sickening smell of burnt flesh filled the room. The intense electrical surge completely fried every nerve ending, blood vessel, and reproductive organ in Sasuke's groin, permanently cauterizing and destroying the tissue beyond any possibility of medical Ninjutsu repair. Furthermore, the localized lightning blast traveled up his lower spine, permanently shattering the lumbar vertebrae.
Naruto withdrew his foot and stood up, looking down at the unconscious, twitching body lying in a pool of blood and charred fabric.
"Next time... there won't be a next time, Sasuke," Naruto said quietly. "You will simply be dead."
Naruto turned around and walked calmly out of the cell door.
Ino and Hinata followed closely behind him, their faces pale. Outside in the hallway, several veteran Anbu and Interrogation Division operatives were standing frozen, their hands subconsciously covering their own crotches in utter, horrified silence. They had witnessed countless gruelling torture sessions over the decades, but what they had just seen was purely barbaric.
Naruto paused beside the lead Yamanaka officer, tossing his bloody gloves into a trash bin.
"I've completely broken his psychological resistance," Naruto said casually, wiping a speck of crimson from his cheek. "He won't be walking anytime soon, and he certainly won't be reviving his clan. Now you guys can go in and take whatever memories you want from him."
With that, Naruto walked down the dimly lit hallway toward the exit, his footsteps echoing steadily into the quiet darkness.
