Chapter 101 - Chapter 101: Can Klee Really Stand on Field?

The so-called very popular and very hot girl actually refers to Klee.

This girl, when using Normal Attack, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst simultaneously, can even temporarily apply Pyro to monsters even in rainy weather.

If she stands on the front line, wouldn't it be very easy to keep Pyro on monsters?

[But Klee's damage is too low, right]

[To give Chasca a chance to hit a few more Vaporizes and Melts, deliberately putting Klee on field feels like dropping the watermelon to pick up sesame seeds]

[Can only say it's an entertainment playstyle]

[Better to just honestly let Neuvillette, Wriothesley, and those kinds of characters stand on field]

[I think Ah Xian's idea is pretty good]

[Klee has been pulled for so many years, finally has a chance to stand on field]

[But from a meta player's perspective, this approach really doesn't work]

[If you really want Klee to clear the Abyss, you might as well pull those Fontaine tripods to C6; it guarantees you can bring Klee to clear the Abyss every time]

[Don't say bringing Klee—even bringing Paimon could clear the Abyss]

"Actually, everyone shouldn't have such big opinions about Klee standing on field for DPS." Ah Xian said with a smile. "Although Klee's damage isn't high, with Furina and Chasca as two characters doing off-field DPS, clearing the Abyss should be no problem."

Although she didn't know Chasca's specific numbers, considering the strength of Natlan's two opener Cs—Kinich and Mualani—Chasca's off-field output absolutely wouldn't be too bad. She should still be able to deal over 200,000 damage in one rotation cycle.

With two powerful characters doing off-field DPS, even Klee could stand there and clear the Abyss.

"Moreover, if Chasca's off-field damage is really particularly high, and the returns from her landing one Vaporize or Melt are higher than Neuvillette standing on field and spraying water, then Klee standing on field would be the optimal solution."

Ah Xian said with a smile.

In her view, the only way for everyone to comfortably accept Klee on field was if Chasca's off-field output was particularly high.

However, the next character introduced in Genshin broke her illusions.

"Citlali is the shaman of the Masters of the Night-Wind; her exact age is already unknowable."

"After releasing her Elemental Skill, she can increase the current on-field character's output ability based on her own Elemental Mastery—similar to Yun Jin's Elemental Burst."

"But unlike Yun Jin, who can only increase Normal Attack damage, Citlali boosts Normal Attacks, Charged Attacks, Plunging Attacks, and even Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst damage—a universal all-rounder!"

Hearing the words from the preview livestream's Q-version mascot, Ah Xian immediately widened her eyes.

Wait.

What did she just hear?

An Elemental Skill-triggered damage boost?

And it covers every output method for the character besides their talents?

Am I sober?

[No way, an Elemental Skill-triggered Yun Jin-style boost that even applies to Normal Attacks, Skills, and Bursts?]

[Xilonen at least needs three Geo characters for that kind of support effect—and it only buffs Normal Attacks. This Citlali covers everything directly?]

[And it's from an Elemental Skill activation!]

[As long as the cooldown isn't too long, she's a version-topping super support]

[Natlan is too broken—not only are the main Cs tripods, even the supports are tripods]

[This isn't tripods anymore; it's Singer Civilization level]

[Wait, I have a question: with Citlali's damage boost, can Klee really stand on field?]

"Yes!"

Seeing the fans' comments, Ah Xian's eyes lit up. "If Citlali's buffs to teammates are solid, then Klee really can stand on field without too much impact on the team's damage."

Just as the official description said, Citlali's damage boost mode is similar to Yun Jin's Elemental Burst.

That means Citlali provides the base stats, and then the on-field character uses their double Burst and other buffs to output damage.

It doesn't matter if Klee's own stats are lacking—she just needs to stack buffs. The stats come from Citlali.

"If the team comp is Klee, Furina, Chasca, and Citlali,"

"Then Klee equips the Marechaussee Hunter set to increase Crit Rate, and brings the Gambit Melody to boost Crit DMG."

Furina can ensure Klee triggers the full Marechaussee Hunter set passive through teamwide HP drain, granting a 36% Crit Rate increase.

Add the Gambit Melody on top, and stacking the double Burst panels to 70%/200% should be no problem.

When Klee is outputting damage with Citlali's buffs active, even if the numbers are on Yun Jin's level, it should still push each of Klee's hits close to 10,000.

[Even hitting 10k damage isn't that impressive]

[Compared to Fontaine characters, it's nowhere near enough]

Some fans still felt this approach was too superfluous.

"Then you're all thinking wrong." Ah Xian gently curled the corner of her mouth. "Klee's Charged Attack, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst can exist simultaneously, and the number of damage instances is particularly high."

Klee's damage isn't high, but her damage segments are terrifyingly numerous. Other characters might need 20 seconds to land a certain number of hits, but Klee can do it in half the time—or even less.

"It all depends on whether Citlali's damage boost has an instance limit." Ah Xian thought. "If there's no instance limit and it's just time-limited, then Klee is really about to rise."

Just like how Jing Yuan met Sunday—maybe Klee would make a comeback after meeting Citlali.

However, the preview livestream continued with more details.

"Citlali only gets 10 instances of buffs after releasing her Elemental Skill." Ah Xian felt a bit regretful. "With so few boosts, Klee would burn through them instantly."

"Uh, it's still explaining: if the on-field character triggers Vaporize or Melt, it grants three more instances, and recasting the Elemental Skill refreshes them."

"Isn't this just perfect?!"

Ah Xian excitedly clapped her hands.

With Chasca firing off-field, wouldn't that instantly trigger Vaporize and Melt, turning 10 instances into 13?

Citlali uses a catalyst—give her Sacrificial Fragments, and she can recast her Elemental Skill once after the instances are used up, granting another 13 instances of boosted damage.

"Closed loop."

"This is a real closed loop."

Ah Xian hadn't expected the team comp she casually mentioned to actually be viable.

Though it costs at least four 5-stars, and Chasca herself standing on field might deal higher damage, Klee finally has a chance to stand and clear the Abyss.

This isn't because she's cute—it's because her kit synergizes too perfectly with Citlali and Chasca.

And if Klee has C2, she can shred enemy DEF, making the team even stronger.

"This is Genshin."

"Old characters might not keep up with the numbers, but sometimes, as long as some fitting characters come out, they can rise to the top through unique mechanics."

Just as Ah Xian was thinking about whether to post a video sharing her idea, she noticed that one of the UPs she followed had updated.

"Genshin Koken Lab (Preview Edition): Chasca's Best Pyro Teammate Is Actually Klee? Discussing the Feasibility of the Klee-Furina-Chasca-Citlali Team Comp" —Xiangwen Elder

Seeing this video that was less than 20 seconds long, Ah Xian suddenly widened her eyes.

Holy shit!

She got scooped!
