Chapter 181 - Orochimaru's Return

"The Hidden Sand has agreed to attend the Five Kage Summit, but they have raised an objection to holding the meeting in Konoha. They request the summit be held in a neutral nation."

The Sand's reply landed on the Hokage's desk in the Hidden Leaf. Shiraishi, citing security concerns, proposed moving the venue to a neutral country—a suggestion that quickly gained the backing of the other three Great Shinobi Villages.

"The Hokage Inauguration and the Five Kage Summit were supposed to be held simultaneously. The Sand's request effectively forces the two events apart," a Konoha official noted.

Konoha had originally intended to use the inauguration of Minato Namikaze to showcase its authority as the premier ninja village. However, the Sand's stance put Konoha in an awkward position.

Security was indeed an issue that could not be ignored. The lessons of the First Shinobi World War, where both the Second Hokage and Second Raikage were ambushed, remained vivid. No village wanted to risk its leader; thus, selecting a neutral nation was paramount.

Currently, the Land of Iron is the most suitable neutral territory. A nation of samurai, it has long been protected by an unspoken agreement that shinobi forces will not interfere with its borders, allowing it to avoid the flames of several world wars.

Minato Namikaze quickly agreed to hold the summit in the Land of Iron, even though it meant his own inauguration ceremony would lose some of its international luster.

In truth, Konoha was somewhat relieved. It was better that Aoki Shiraishi didn't enter the village; if he lost his temper, the prospect of him raining down "Cyan Flame" pyramids was a nightmare they preferred to avoid.

Despite having collected samples of the Cyan Flame via the Sealing Method: Fire Seal, Konoha's research into its nature remained limited. They were deeply wary of Shiraishi.

"The most terrifying thing about Aoki Shiraishi is his endless supply of new techniques."

Konoha could analyze old data and rely on Minato's high mobility to check Shiraishi's known abilities, but Shiraishi developed new jutsu and puppet systems so rapidly that intelligence was always outdated by the time a battle began.

Deep Underground

Deep beneath the Oasis Ring, a web of pipes crisscrossed the subterranean world of the New Hidden Sand, forming a mysterious domain.

"Lord Kazekage, you seem to have conducted many... interesting studies."

A cold, flicking sound echoed. Orochimaru, dressed in white, surveyed the facility with wonder. Shiraishi had invited Orochimaru because his biological research had hit a wall, requiring the expertise of the world's foremost geneticist.

While Shiraishi excelled at mechanical puppets and supercomputing, Orochimaru's mastery of human experimentation and secret arts was unparalleled in this era.

"In the field of biology, I am still inferior to Senior Orochimaru," Shiraishi said, pushing up his glasses.

He meticulously handed a file of his current research to Orochimaru. As Orochimaru scanned the "mad" experimental plans, he swallowed hard, his eyes gleaming with interest.

Inside the lab, Shiraishi had been combining various bloodline cells he had collected—Uchiha, Hyuga, Shikotsumyaku (Kaguya), and Yuki (Ice Release). The results were startling.

"The human cells of the Kaguya clan and the Hyuga clan show a high degree of overlap. What a fascinating discovery," Orochimaru hissed.

While Orochimaru had studied the Kaguya clan, he had never compared them to the Hyuga—a blind spot caused by Konoha's rigid thinking.

Though the body of Tenmon Hyuga had been taken by Minato's Flying Thunder God after being burned by Cyan Flame, Shiraishi had managed to extract residual cells.

Shiraishi was now transplanting nuclei containing genetic material into enucleated egg cells, using micro-currents controlled by Magnet Release to fuse them and stimulate embryo development.

By combining the Byakugan of the Hyuga, the Shikotsumyaku of the Kaguya, and his own cells, he had created a fused nucleus.

In this process, the Lightning, Fire, Earth, and Wind chakra within Shiraishi's own cells were rejected; only his Water Release chakra showed a high affinity with the mix.

The nucleus had successfully begun dividing, but it required a qualified host mother to carry it to term.

Thanks to the "Black Tech" from his system, Shiraishi had successfully reverse-engineered the basics of cloning technology.

Orochimaru's gaze grew increasingly fervent. "You summoned me to find information on a suitable 'host body'?"

"Yes. The host needs immense chakra and vitality to sustain the growth of this nucleus," Shiraishi replied.

He didn't mention that the direct fusion of Hyuga and Kaguya DNA was inherently chaotic and violent. The resulting child would be prone to madness and slaughter.

Only by tempering it with a "third party"—the gentle Water-natured chakra from his own cells—could the nucleus be stabilized. This was the key piece of information Shiraishi withheld.

"Hehe. By that standard, only the Uzumaki clan fits your requirements."

The Uzumaki clan, formerly of Uzushiogakure, were masters of sealing jutsu with legendary longevity and massive chakra reserves—strong enough to suppress Tailed Beasts.

Their trademark red hair turned white when the chakra was depleted. Though the Land of Whirlpools had been destroyed by nations fearful of their power, survivors remained scattered and hidden.

"Regrettably, I have no Uzumaki members among my subordinates," Orochimaru smiled wickedly under the dim lights. "However, I do have intelligence on one."

Shiraishi ignored the scientist's creepy mannerisms. "Oh?"

"In the Land of Grass, you might find the Uzumaki member you seek."
