Yoruichi watched as Maruki introduced himself in the distance. She was waiting to do the same.
One, she genuinely wanted to teach Shiho a martial art. She could see the fire in her eyes and the drive to succeed. Even as a normal human, she had potential.
Then there was the black-haired kid.
Ren Amamiya, a delinquent with a criminal record who had done all sorts of absurd crimes and was a blight on the school and blah blah blah.
It even said he didn't cause problems and was top of the class in his files.
Who the hell wrote this nonsense?
'His spiritual energy changed again,' she thought. 'It's calmer but more active. Was the chaos before from it awakening?'
She heard a meow come from his bag, and the kid responded like he could understand.
"How interesting," she whispered as she walked over.

"Hello, students. Suzui-chan, it's nice to see you again." Yoruichi approached with a smile.
Ryuji groaned.
"Again?"
"What, you don't want to talk to this 'hot' teacher?" she said with a cheeky smile toward Ren and Ryuji.
"You heard me?!" Ryuji basically squeaked.
Ren gave a blush and looked away. He couldn't deny it.
Orihime, Shiho, and Ann took their stances in front of the boys.
An unexpected opponent!?
"Relax, girls. He's a brat." Yoruichi snickered.
"Just come to gym class. Suzui-chan, you can come learn martial arts if you'd still like to. I'll test you and suggest what I believe is best for you," she said with a smile.
The team blinked, and she was behind them. Ren barely caught a flicker of movement, and a strange sequence of steps lit up on the ground vaguely before fading. He hopped away from her as soon as he sensed movement.
Yoruichi was patting Ren's arm.
"Impressive! You can come too! You're a little slow, but we can fix that."
She left with a chuckle, introducing herself to other students.
"Every girl we know, dude. Every one of them is terrifying," Ryuji said.
"I guarantee she can still hear you."

The team was walking through Shibuya. They hadn't yet decided on a location, but they decided to just wander and talk. Ann kept scrunching her brow in thought but didn't say anything. She looked a bit unnerved, so Ren asked her what was wrong.
"I feel like we're being watched?" she said in confusion.
Ren focused his senses to use his Third Eye power and realized it was significantly stronger. He could see colorful threads weaving between him and his friends. He noticed they were his Arcana bonds. In the distance, he noticed what Ann was talking about.
There was a tall young man standing around fifty feet behind them, his face deep in thought. He was moving his hands and tilting his body like he was trying to frame a composition.
Ryuji scoffed when Ren mentioned it.
"Let's go get him to stop. 'Effin creeps everywhere."
Orihime's cheeks were puffed up, and she valiantly stood next to Ren and Ryuji.
"I'm gonna give this pervert a piece of my mind!" Those two had been objectified enough!
"If that's what he's doing, we'll stop him. But I think he's just—"
"An angel and a peerless devil!" the young man dramatically said with one eye closed, his fingers framing Orihime and Ren.
The two looked at each other, then at the young man.
"Peerless devil?" both Orihime and Ren asked.
