Wangxin spoke softly, her fingers gently stroking the rabbit's soft back, her voice filled with guilt.
"I shouldn't have shaved off a patch of your fur... I'm truly sorry."
"But don't worry, it'll grow back soon."

"Goodbye, bunny."
In the mountain forest, Wangxin gently patted the doe's head, then gave its rump a little push, motioning for it to leave.
The doe hopped forward a few steps, then glanced back at Wangxin one last time before bounding away with light thumps. It soon disappeared deep into the woods.
"It's gone."
Standing to the side, Xiao Mo glanced at Wangxin and spoke calmly before turning to walk down the mountain.
Wangxin got to her feet and quickly trotted to catch up.
She tilted her head slightly, a hint of confusion in her eyes, and asked softly, "Xiao Mo, do I really not need to practice?"
"You are a disciple of the Buddhist School, not someone from the Demon Dao."
