Soon, news that the Chu and Yan Kingdoms were massing troops on the borders of the Qin Kingdom spread throughout the entire Imperial Court. The word had even reached the common people and was spreading far and wide.
The territories of the Chu and Yan Kingdoms did not actually share a border with the Qin Kingdom.
Between Qin and Chu, and between Qin and Yan, there was a small kingdom sandwiched in the middle.
These two small kingdoms played both sides, surviving by maintaining a delicate balance with the major powers. Their main strategy was to avoid offending anyone.
The Qin Kingdom had even granted these two small kingdoms many favors.
But unexpectedly, they had allowed the armies of Chu and Yan to pass through their territory.
This infuriated the people of the Qin Kingdom.
