"My, my. For someone as busy as the Pei Sword Immortal, how do you have time to visit me?"
Ji Xichan leaned against the door, a sly smile on her face as she looked at Pei Yuhang.
"I have something I need to ask you."
"The Pei Sword Immortal has something he doesn't know? And here I was, thinking you were omnipotent."
Ji Xichan had wanted to play coy for a bit, to hear how Pei Yuhang would plead with her.
But to her surprise, Pei Yuhang simply turned and walked away, showing no intention of humoring her.
"Wait! Can't you just indulge me a little? You're always so stubborn, like a damn rock!"
It wasn't often that Pei Yuhang came to her of his own volition. Ji Xichan certainly wasn't going to let him just leave. She darted in front of him, blocking his path in a huff.
Faced with the girl's scolding, Pei Yuhang said coolly, "Miss Ji, you should know why I treat you this way."
At his words, Ji Xichan fell silent, knowing full well she was in the wrong.
