He sighed and stopped beating around the bush. "Su Ze," he said, laying his cards on the table, "my death won't do you any good. When that old fellow wakes up, he'll be even more difficult to deal with than I am. Anyone who can become a commander is utterly loyal to their race. He would never betray our people for his own benefit."
Su Ze was skeptical. 'I don't believe that a higher position equals greater loyalty. History is full of high-ranking traitors.'
Still, Su Ze had to agree with one thing: if he had to choose between the Nian Race commander and the Mu King, he would much rather face the Mu King.
First, the Nian Race commander was stronger than the Mu King when he was alive, which meant he had more tricks up his sleeve and would be harder to guard against. Dealing with him would be far more exhausting.
Second, the Mu King was currently in peril. Since Su Ze held the man's life in his hands, he could certainly make him talk and get the information he wanted.
