"So I'm not needed anymore," Lin Shen said.
"But shouldn't you at least let them know?" he asked tentatively, a hint of worry in his voice. "After all, I remember you go home every year for the Mid-Autumn Festival, right? If you don't go back this year, won't they overthink it?"
"No," Qin Yuenan replied with a casual expression. "They've been hoping I'd find someone to spend the Mid-Autumn Festival with for a long time. If I don't go home, they'll probably be happier than I am."
"Is that so?"
Seeing Lin Shen still looked a bit concerned, she gently comforted him, "Don't worry, my parents won't give you a hard time."
"I'm not worried about your mom and dad giving me a hard time. I'm just afraid they'll blame me."
"They won't." Seeing that Lin Shen was still anxious, Qin Yuenan placed her hand over his to reassure him. "Relax, I make my own decisions. They can't control me."
"You really are a rebel," Lin Shen teased with a smile.
