Originally, Jiangg Ning had planned to grab a casual bite with Chen Yuan and Lan before heading home, but after their argument, she clearly wasn't in the mood anymore.
Lan wasn't stupid. She could see the two of them were fighting and probably needed to sort things out urgently. Being stuck in the middle would just be asking for trouble.
They were all adults. If she couldn't even figure that out, she'd be pretty hopeless.
So, after helping them load their things into the trunk, Lan said she had a very busy evening and wouldn't see them off, just telling them to be safe on their way back.
