Unless the disciple's injuries relapsed, his direct intervention wouldn't be needed again.
After checking on the other injured disciples, Yang Chan returned to the Medicine Hall and Pharmacy. He had prepared the Pharmacopoeia and other books related to the profession. These were all part of his plan to become an Intermediate Pharmacist—a perfectly reasonable justification.
