'What in the hell is that thing?!'
When the Kyoto University students saw something straight out of myth and legend emerge from the corner of the hallway, they felt their bodies go numb as if zapped by electricity. A bone-deep chill shot straight to the top of their skulls.
"Lifelike" wasn't even the right word for it. Because the surroundings had become blurry and indistinct, the tall, ferocious Ghost General appeared all the more vivid and shocking to their senses.
'Seeing a ghost in broad daylight?!'
They subconsciously wanted to cry out, to back away, or to rub their eyes to confirm they weren't dreaming or seeing things. But to their astonishment, they discovered they couldn't even move a finger, as if trapped in sleep paralysis.
THUD! THUD!
But something even more shocking was to come. Two more heavy footfalls echoed from the shadows of the corridor, and two more Ghost Generals emerged.
