A raging inferno wildly devoured everything in the ancient castle. The CRACKLE and POP of the flames sounded like the terrifying, demonic laughter of a devil.
Suddenly, a circular opening was sliced through a wall of fire, and a dark figure leaped out with ease.
On her back, she carried a boy who was dazed from the black smoke.
Arthur muttered to himself, "I can't die... Ahm... and my sister are waiting for me..."
She paused for a moment, as if thinking of someone, then calmly reassured him, "You won't die. Someone is waiting for me outside, too."
Using her Power, she once again carved through a wall of fire and slipped through.
"Aurora—Aurora Sinclair—*cough, cough, cough*..."
A familiar voice called out from a corner.
It was faint and intermittent; if one weren't listening carefully, it would have been easy to miss.
Aurora Sinclair's ears twitched. A flash of shock, then fury, appeared in her eyes as she sped toward the sound.
