The woman, who had been lunging forward, froze. She stared in Alvin Morgan's direction, as if in disbelief.

"What is this?" It was the first time Aurora Sinclair had seen anything about the A-plan. She stopped Alvin Morgan's hand as he was about to close the file.
Her expression was exceptionally serious, her lips pressed into a thin line. The chill from her fingertips seemed to travel through his hand and into his heart.
He turned his hand over and clasped hers, whispering, "This happened forty years ago. It has nothing to do with you."
Just then, the woman behind them had a sudden realization and exclaimed, "So, she's the child of one of the remnants! No wonder her talent is so high…"
