Just then, the ascending elevator jolted slightly. He looked up.
It had reached the thirty-third floor. As soon as the elevator doors opened, Hu Qi saw someone standing outside.
This person was no stranger; it was Wei Fan.
"What's this? Going out so late?"
Hu Qi wore a smile, his expression as calm as ever.
Hearing this, Wei Fan's gaze swept over Hu Qi from head to toe.
"No, my lighter at home broke. I was planning to go out and buy a new one."
He replied with a smile of his own.
"Alright then, you go ahead."
Hu Qi nodded, stepped out of the elevator, and turned sideways to make room, gesturing for Wei Fan to enter.
"Look at my memory! I forgot my umbrella!"
But Wei Fan glanced inside the elevator without getting in. Instead, as if he had suddenly remembered something, his eyes fell on the dripping umbrella in Hu Qi's hand.
"Here, you can use this for now. I have another one at home."
Hu Qi said with a smile, holding out the umbrella.
