The dancing firelight cast the silhouette of the figure behind the desk onto the bookshelf.
It was an old man.
His body was strong and upright. His skin was covered in fine wrinkles, the creases at the corners of his eyes and on his forehead deep yet soft.
His grayish-white hair was shoulder-length and slightly curled.
So was his equally silver-white beard.
It gave him the air of a wise man.
At this moment, he was leaning back in a rattan chair, dressed in a simple white robe.
His face was kindly, with reading glasses perched on his nose, reflecting the flickering lamplight from the desk before him.
He was holding an open book in both hands.
He appeared to be reading intently.
From his appearance, there was almost no difference between him and an ordinary elderly human.
