The cameras were on, so Renee Jennings couldn't just lose her temper. She said gently, "Nathan, why don't you go play by the ridge over there? Don't bother Mommy here, or we'll have to take the donkey cart home."
"A donkey cart?"
Knowing the little boy had no concept of what that meant, Renee Jennings explained, "A donkey cart moves very slowly. It might take us a very long time to see Daddy."
Realizing the gravity of the situation, Nathan Lynch did as he was told and stopped bothering her.
Before marrying the famous actor, Renee Jennings had come from a scholarly family. While not fabulously wealthy, she had never done such tiring, dirty work in her life. Less than half an hour in, she was already feeling dizzy and seeing spots.
"Renee, why don't you take a break?"
A crew member asked with concern, seeing she wasn't in good shape.
"I'm fine," Renee Jennings said, wiping the sweat from her forehead.
