The kiss was fumbling and incredibly awkward. After a moment, Naomi Kenway felt a little tired. She had just started to pull back when a hand cupped the back of her head, and his scorching breath drew near once more.
The familiar scent of his cologne lingered at the tip of her nose, bursting with even greater intensity.

She was forced to endure this fierce kiss, able to manage only a few muffled syllables.
She didn't know how much time had passed before he finally let her go. She found it hard to breathe and gasped for air. Vaguely, she felt his forehead press against hers, his high-bridged nose touching her face. The clarity in his eyes was long gone, replaced by a fervent blaze.
