Chelsea Raines's face burned. She couldn't believe Jared Woods would ask such an idiotic question. Then she remembered that he rarely used cash. Having grown up pampered, he had no concept of money.
"A bottle of water can't be that expensive. Just go."
The words had barely left her mouth when the assistant director interjected, "No. Our rules state that you cannot use money from your wallets or bank cards for purchases."
Chelsea Raines was parched. She inwardly cursed herself for not bringing enough water, having deemed it too heavy. "But we haven't even reached the destination yet, have we?"
"But our show has already started."
Chelsea Raines had no choice but to put her money away, thinking, 'This production team is such a pain.'
After a short wait, a tour bus with the "Super Mom" logo pulled over to the side of the road. The guests boarded one by one. The bus was air-conditioned, providing some relief from the sweltering heat.
